So, a trip to Cornwall isn\u2019t complete without sampling some of the county\u2019s finest scrumpy. Here we round up some of Cornwall\u2019s finest cider farms \u2013 all of them worth a visit.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>1. Healey\u2019s Cornish Cyder Farm<\/h2>\n<div style=\"width: 645px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"\/\/www.sykescottages.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/healey-s-cyder.jpg\" alt=\"Healey's cyder\" width=\"635\" height=\"310\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9Thecornishcyderfarm.co.uk<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Family-run Healey\u2019s has been producing cyder for 25 years in a 150 year-old farm. Cyder is made differently to the more commonly known cider, and can mature with age \u2013 rather like a vintage wine. With seven varieties of apple making up the 3,000 trees on the 20 acre orchard, Healey\u2019s is the biggest cyder producer in the UK. There\u2019s a small museum and restaurant selling local produce on the farm; and in the shop, as well as cyder, you can buy Healey\u2019s chutneys, jams, whiskey and brandy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notable ciders:<\/strong> Healey\u2019s classic oak matured, sweet and dry scrumpy, Rattler<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admission:<\/strong> General admission is free, and a Distillery &amp; Cellar tours cost \u00a339 per adult. Full-flavoured, premium ciders are produced and bottled on site using traditional methods. Tours aren\u2019t available, but passers-by are encouraged to stop for a free taster and a look around the shop which, along with a wide range of ciders, also sells a number of sparkling soft drinks, including Elderflower press\u00e9, lemonade and cranberry and raspberry sparkle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notable ciders:<\/strong> Cornish Gold, Blush, Pear cider, Wassail mulled cider<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admission:<\/strong> Admission to the farm\u2019s shop is free.\u00a0Opening times vary throught the year. During the summer the Sunday Cider Social is held, where live music and fine Cornish cider are celebrated. The event is child and dog-friendly and barbecued food is available. Subsequent harvests were hampered by poor weather and the family turned their skills to cider. Both the vineyard and orchard now produce excellent, award-winning drinks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notable ciders:<\/strong> Aval cider, scrumpy, pink raspberry cider, and blackcurrant cider<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admission:<\/strong> Orchard and vineyard tours and tastings cost \u00a310 (children go free), and are held at 2pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from March to October.
