1. Whitby\u00a0Abbey and the coast<\/h2>\n

This is a beautiful coastal walk incorporating Whitby Abbey and the iconic 199 steps leading up to St Mary’s church, where you’ll be rewarded with the most breathtaking views of Whitby and the surrounding area. Dogs are welcome on leads at Whitby Abbey, the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula and is a must visit. The walk will take you along the clifftop past Saltwick Bay, where you will witness magnificent coastal views.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Mallyan Spout and Beck Hole<\/h2>\n

This walk is for all the Heartbeat and Harry Potter fans amongst us as it will take you past various iconic spots around Goathland, including the beautiful waterfall of Mallyan Spout and Goathland Station (the station used in the early Harry Potter films). Likewise, your furry friend will enjoy the\u00a0abundance of the countryside and new smells to explore. The waterfall is even more spectacular after rainfall, although you are advised to keep your dog on a lead in case of fast flowing currents.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0May Beck and Falling Foss<\/h2>\n

This walk offers plenty for both dogs and owners. The woodland and stream offers an exceptional site for you to relax with your pooch as they chase a ball and enjoy a paddle. Likewise, you’ll enjoy a refreshment from the wonderful tea garden at the woodland cottage of Midge Hall. Just a short distance away from Falling Foss, you’ll find an 18th-century \u00a0cave, carved out of a large boulder. This cave was home to the Hermit of Falling Foss – a local legend in this area.<\/p>\n

4. Whitby to Sandsend<\/h2>\n

Walks beside the sea are often extremely popular amongst dog walkers and they are often a favourite for dogs too. The beach is the best place to blow off the cob-webs whilst playing fetch or going for a paddle in the sea. There are restrictions in place during the summer months and it is strongly advised that you check the tide times before you depart as some areas will become inaccessible at high tides.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Robin Hood\u2019s Bay<\/h2>\n

Robin Hood’s Bay is a great spot to visit with your four-legged friend. The village is rich with both fishing and smuggling heritage and has a great range of pubs, cafes, and restaurants for you to visit. This walk will take you along the clifftops where you will be rewarded with magnificent\u00a0views of the the\u00a0North Sea and Ravenscar.<\/p>\n
