Penzance has its own microclimate and it can be hard to remember you are still in England. We spent a good few hours exploring the town, making a stop at the famous Egyptian House, before walking down to the harbour. Penzance, like most of Cornwall, is really dog-friendly and Bramley could come in most of the shops with us.<br><br> We also popped into 'The Edge of the World' bookshop and picked up a holiday read, before walking a few doors up to Newlyn Cheese and Charcuterie for some Cornish Yarg cheese, which is known to be one of the best in the world (we agree).<br><br>\nWe then headed to Land's End and wanted a photo at the famous Land's End sign! The car park is a short walk away and the water is the most incredible blue.<br><br> After a quick swim, we decided not to get back in the car to travel up to the Minack Theatre, but to climb the cliff side steps instead! This is a pretty challenging walk, but if you are able, I highly recommend it. The views are truly incredible!<br><br>The Minack Theatre is the most incredible open-air theatre, carved into the cliffs. This alone could easily be your reason to visit Marazion, although it has so much more to offer. We sat in the caf\u00e9, which must have the best views in the UK for a coffee and enjoyed some drinks while watching the shoals of fish below swimming around kayakers. I can't wait to come back and watch a performance one day.<br><br>After a quick shower back at our accommodation, we headed back out to the Godolphin Hotel in Marazion. We had the most fantastic meal sat looking out over St Michael's Mount. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and I would highly recommend the lobster butter if you order chips! We had a cocktail each before ending our evening on the beach. Dogs aren\u2019t allowed during peak season, so Bramley was dropped at a dog sitter for a few hours. When we arrived it was low tide, so we were able to walk the long path to the castle on foot.<br><br> The tide came in as we explored the incredible (and steep!) gardens, before walking around the castle. Apparently, 35 people still live on the island, all part of families with children, where the adults are employed locally. Every inch of it was Cornish perfection, right down to the gift shop. We have really been spoilt for food on this trip, but the scones were the best I\u2019ve ever tasted! The restaurant itself is really luxurious, and the whole experience was a real treat.
