Giving Something Back

As a company, we strive to work with local charities in order to give something back to our community

Giving something back to our community

We think it’s important to give something back to the wider community, that’s why every year we ask our Family to vote and decide who will be our Charity Partner Of The Year.

This year, and next, our people have spoken, and we’ve pledged our efforts to Teenage Cancer Trust with a huge 30K target we’re hoping to smash!

We host regular fundraising activities across the Sykes Family to raise as much cash as possible whilst having a little fun; we’re particular fans of a good bake sale but we’ve also created our own Christmas markets, hosted bring your dog to work days and dressed up in as many fancy dress costumes as you can think of!

We also support a number of local charities alongside our charity partner of the year to ensure we’re keeping things close to home- whether that be at our Chester head office or down in the south at any one of our sister brands.

“ I love getting involved in all the fundraising activities at Sykes, not only is it fun but knowing I am helping someone else makes it even better” Jason, Operations Trainer
“Working at Sykes is a challenging but truly rewarding environment. You won’t find a better culture anywhere else!” Sean, CRM Executive

Every two years, we send out a survey to our staff to ask what charity they would like to support for that financial year. Recently, our Chester office chose to support SHARE, a charity that supports the homeless and assists refugees. From the fundraising we’ve done in previous years, we support charities with in-house events, such as baking competitions, raffles and Christmas shoe boxes.
