  • "Cherry Lodge is a lovely well appointed property."

It has everything you need whilst away from home. I have never encountered such a well stocked kitchen with gadgets and crockery like you have in your own home. The sofas in the living room are quite low for less mobile people to get down on and then up again, but they are comfortable. It's a great base for exploring the local area, we stayed as it was close to relatives we were visiting. It's location is excellent as Newark town centre is only a short walk away meaning you don't need to drive and have the hassle of finding a place to park. My only issue was the shower, a lovely rain forest shower head which gave a great shower, however the glass partition on the bath needs to be a bit longer as water can splash out and onto the floor if you are not really careful whilst showering. Would definitely recommend to others as a place to stay.

  • "For anyone wishing to visit the Newark area, this is the place to stay - so convenient both for the town itself and the surrounding area."

Only reasons for not top marks for facilities and maintenance was that we struggled to use both the oven and the microwave, and the toilet seats tended to slip a bit. Very minor negatives- with everything else being great. Hope to stay again.

  • "The property is very well appointed and in a convenient location."

The only issue we had was the sofas in the living room. They are incredibly low to the ground, to the point that the two elderly people in our party physically couldn’t get up from them unaided. This was a major issue as it meant we couldn’t leave them alone in the property at any time.

  • "The property was as described."

It felt spacious and well equipped (for 3 people and 2 dogs). The beds were comfy. There were plenty of towell's and toilet rolls left out for the stay. The house temperature was comfortable during the day and night. The garden was of a good enough size to accommodate 2 retriever dogs and secure. The off road parking easily accommodated a people carrier. The area was quiet even though located on a residential street. The property has good access to local amenities Inc supermarkets, dog walks, A1, air museum. Would recommend and would return.

It is hot and windows need to be able to open. The garden also needs attention, overgrown bushes. On a more positive note it was a comfortable short stay and had everything we needed.

Good parking and garden is fully enclosed if you are taking a dog with you. Coop just down the road, which is handy. Only thing that let it down was the sofas, which are really low, anyone with knee or hip problems may have trouble getting up off them.

The beds were very comfortable. Newark is an attractive town with lots of things to do and visit nearby. The only thing we found was the sofas were too low to be comfortable so we sat in the dining chairs which was ok but not ideal

Lovely kitchen/diner conservatory. Nice back garden. Comfortable bed. Couple of small things that can make a big difference: Very dark in the living room & master bedroom, the large tree in the front garden could do with pruning. Another towel rail in the bathroom would be helpful, had to put the bath towels over the banister.

This home exceeded our expectations. It was in a excellent location within walking distance of a beautiful park, co-op and the town centre. The home was clean and the extra touches like luxury handwash and drink station were highly appreciated! The beds were so comfy and spacious the conservatory eating space was a lovely addition, we are very much planning to visit again.

  • "We had such a nice stay, everything was great, and was so quiet compared to what we’re used to in London!"

Great facilities, and we loved eating breakfast together in the conservatory in the sun (not quite warm enough to sit outside yet). Really easy location, within walking distance to the centre and local amenities. The only tiny issue was the single bedroom, the duvet cover was too small for the duvet, so it was lumpy/uncomfortable to sleep with.

Kitchen was well equipped but could do with a measuring jug. For some reason there were no shelves in the fridge which made storing essentials in the fridge quite difficult.

Unfortunately the shelf in the fridge was broken during the clean immediately prior to your visit. I had no way of letting you know as the contact phone number that I was given for you was your home telephone number. I have ordered two new shelves for the fridge which will be put in place before the next guests arrive. If I had had your mobile phone number I would, of course, have let you know about this issue. I do hope that this inconvenience did not affect your stay to much. Property Owner

House was very clean and welcoming, as usual. The only suggestion I would make is that a blind/window covering needs fitting to the bathroom window, especially now that housing is built at the back of the property, as it wasn't very private using the bathroom. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
