  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Bluebell cottage."

The property had all the essentials required for a pleasant stay plus the owner was really helpful, informative and friendly. The tea, coffee, milk and chocolate biscuits are a nice touch after you arrive from a long journey. The beds and other furniture are really comfortable plus the bonus of having a wood burning fire for the cold evenings was a bonus. I would definitely recommend a stay at this property.

  • "The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived with a lovely welcome of milk, scones, Jam and Clotted Cream."

We really enjoyed our stay and found the property convenient for local amenities with a 20 minute walk, or a 5 minute drive into Ilfracombe. On departure there was a lovely letter from the owner thanking us for choosing Blue Bell Cottage. We would love to return.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I'm so sorry I missed meeting you but hope you had a great stay and thank you for leaving the property so perfect. I would love to host you again. Best regards Rachel Property Owner

  • "Listing stated towels included."

There was one hand towel and one guest towel. There was a light not working on arrival and a loose toilet seat, and the heating wasn’t on which was very important for our elderly parents. The light was fixed promptly, and once we had mentioned the heating it did kick in at morning and night. We were told towels could be provided at £5 a bundle. The property was lovely and ample crockery and cutlery supplied. A great location, but our stay slightly marred by these little niggles. A used nappy was found under a dressing table during our stay and dog mess in the garden. A letter from the owner arrived the day before departure asking us “not to be mean” to leave the property as we found it and hoover. Sadly by this time we had cleaned up the dog mess and disposed of the nappy! Maybe the owner needs to review her cleaning services and pre-visitor checks. Information on tides, local businesses and activities, bus routes and times, footpaths etc. would have been useful to help us get the most out of the lovely area.

  • "This a lovely well appointed cottage nicely refurbished."

Convenient for the beach and just a few miles from Ilfracombe. The owner's mother was very helpful in recommending places of interest and places to eat. The addition of a washing machine would be helpful though!

Thank you very much for your kind feedback. I will pass your comments on to my mum, I m glad she was of help as will she be. Thank you again for choosing my property. Best regards Rachel Property Owner
