  • "We had a very nice time at Maerdy Cottage."

We had a very nice welcome pack waiting for us which was much appreciated. It was ideally placed for us sightseeing and as a group of five adults with car, van and bikes, it was a decent size with plenty of space for all our gear. Bridget and Gareth were very helpful and it was very nice of them to allow us to put the bikes in the shed. Nice big area at the front for the van, car and trailer so no issues with parking. There is a pub serving food very near, although we did not eat there so cannot comment. Would have no hesitation in returning if visiting this area of Wales again. .

  • "We honestly had the most amazing holiday, the cottage was perfect for our needs as a family of 5."

Our children loved playing outside, with so much to see and do. We hired a canal boat for the day, got the train up snowdon and then walked to the summit and back down again, horse riding, national trusts, visit the local pub, train rides. We had log fires in the evening playing cards with the children. We can't thank Brid & Gareth for making us feel very welcome. We can't wait to come back.

Owners provided everything you needed & more. Was lovely to meet both Gareth & Bridget while we were there, and got to watch Gareth & his daughter working the sheep with their dogs. Had some lovely meals at Country Cooks cafe, watched a great demo at the Glassblobbery, and the cottage was a great base for exploring and doing activities. Can thoroughly recommend the Whitewater rafting with SAS Outdoors

  • "We had a great time in this lovely cottage."

It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It was also nice and spacious. It is situated in a beautiful setting with very green fields with lots of sheep and rabbits that our kids loved watching. We enjoyed some really lovely trips in the area in spite of a very rainy forecast. Mr and Mrs Evans were very easygoing and welcoming. We were recommended this cottage by friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Could do with a downstairs toilet. The oven was not working, as it had packed up on the previous persons holiday, they had not had time to fix it. Especialy as it was Christmas holidays.

Thank you for your comments, we have now installed a new oven. Kind regards Property Owner

Couldn’t have asked for anymore in terms of facilities and comfort of the cottage. Only issue the fan on the oven was broken which meant our food took longer to cook. Other than that a perfect little break. We would definitely stay again and recommend

Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We (mother-in-law, wife, 2 girls (8 & 13) and myself) really enjoyed the stay - location great for exploring Snowdonia/North/Mid Wales and Anglesey only 30 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes away.
