  • "A beautiful beautiful property, we felt so comfortable here."

Gorgeous bathroom and shower, great wood burner fire and comfortable armchairs. Will definitely be back!

  • "We have been booking cottages for over 30 yrs now and this one is one of the nicest cottages we've been to."

The cleanliness is second to none. Usually I take my anti-bacterial wipes, rubber gloves etc and clean everything before I put my things away. I'm especially particular about the cutlery drawer, plates, cups and glasses and wash everything before I use it but I didn't have to do that here. It is a small place but big enough for 2 people with everything provided that you may need and of very good quality. The place is very cosy and very warm, we only used the burner once because it was there and it was snowing. The bathroom is small but adequate and modern with a very good modern shower. The cottage is on an enbankment with a stream at the bottom which you can see from the window. The view is amazing and we particularly enjoyed watching all kind of birds coming to feed ( we even bought some more nuts for them as they're so fast at eating them ). There are 5 lovely geese living there and we enjoyed watching them grooming themselves every morning. I can see that this could be a fabulous place to be in summer, you can eat outside on the patio and enjoy the view. The owners live next door but are unobtrusive but there if you need them. Jean was very helpful when I forgot my book and sent it to me. All in all a very nice place to stay and we hope to come back some day.

  • "Had a lovely stay, cottage was very clean, comfortable and warm."

Facilities were very high standard, kitchen very good, shower always hot, cottage was very warm indeed ( never needed to light the fire). WiFi good standard, I took my own Firestick and was able to stream Netflix and Prime without issue. Owners were very friendly and welcoming, but also respected your privacy, there if you need them, but they also left you alone. Biggest criticism, could do with a bigger more visible sign on entrance to drive for first (second and third) time of arrival.

  • "We spent a happy week at Sunnybrook Cottage in early October 2023."

The owners checked on us the evening we arrived to ensure that all was in order. We stayed there to attend a nearby family wedding but found it a comfortable base and ideal for exploring Clitheroe, Skipton, the surrounding villages and the Forest of Bowland. We drove a circular route around Pendle Hill which provided picturesque stopping off points. There were many good pubs to eat in locally. Although the accommodation was small, the bedroom being separated from the living area by a curtain, it was adequate for the holiday. Would certainly recommend.

] into a snug cottage for two. The owner also gave us the use of a lockable shed to store our bicycles. The owners shared their laundry room including tumble-dryer. We never ran out of hot water. Could not fault Sunnybrook Cottage on cleanliness - impeccable; equipment - everything first-rate, from bed to comfy armchairs.

Really cosy little cottage with patio. As a bird watcher, the sight of woodpecker and nuthatch feeding on the well appointed nut feeders was an added bonus. Definitely come again.

It was very inviting. The cottage is situated on an embankment overlooking a fast flowing brook.Various types of birds visited the feeding station by the side of the building and cows were grazing in the field nearby. Cottage amenities were outstanding and there was everything that you needed to enjoy your stay. Thankyou Jean and Graham for ensuring that my stay was perfect.Thamkyou geese for my daily alarm call.I will be back! Just one pointer....can you please install a grab rail in the shower for safety reasons. It would make life easier for people with some disabilities. Thankyou guys xx.

The views around were lovely and it was fun watching the local birds making the most of the feeders - including a woodpecker! The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped with each nook and cranny thoughtfully utilised to great effect. It was spotlessly clean, the decorations tasteful and the bathroom sleek and modern. We had a lovely 3 night stay. Jean was welcoming and had thoughtfully left us milk and mince pies. We had no need to use the wood burner; the radiators kept us warm and the lovely touch of a Christmas tree and decorations gave the cottage a seasonal and cosy feel. We are definitely thinking about a return in the summer, when the large patio area would come into its own.

  • "We greatly enjoyed staying at Sunnybrook Cottage which, is small but perfectly formed!"

It's ideal for a couple and, in fact, rather Tardis-like in feeling much larger inside than it appears from outside. It's comfortable, stylish and beautifully designed, with an open-plan living/sleeping/cooking area and a small but well-equipped bathroom at one end with an excellent walk-in shower. There's also a spacious terrace with a lovely view of Pendle Hill. Jean and Graham, who live in the adjacent house, were fantastic hosts - kind and attentive while also thoughtful about respecting our privacy. The cottage is well positioned, just outside the beautiful village of Waddington and only a short drive from Clitheroe. One thing to bear in mind is that the road from the village to the cottage is quite busy, so you need to take special care when undertaking the short walk back home from the pub after dark! All in all we had a wonderful stay and would warmly recommend this property.

As well as Central Heating, there was a lovely and toastie wood burning stove. In fact, despite the awful weather, we turned the heating off and opened windows. You will notice the pleasant babble of the brook, at night, accompanied by the hooting of owls. The 3 pubs in Waddington were every bit as good as advertised. We preferred the "Lower Buck" with open fires and friendly locals. All had good beer and good food. There is fantastic walking country, straight from the door step and if you use the car, you are only minutes from Pendle Hill or the Trough of Bowland.
