  • "A lovely spacious clean and very comfortable property."

We have stayed in many places over the last 50 years and this would be in our top five. I loved the well equipped large kitchen and the new cooker was easy to use . A peaceful location. Karen , the owner came a couple of times to see if we had everything we needed and said not to hesitate to call her if we needed something. There were only 3 of us but with 6 there would still be bags of space. Would certainly book the property again and thoroughly recommend.

The facilities were very good & the fact that the daytime accommodation was in the middle of the property was good because it meant that my Dad had his own wing & was not disturbed by any one else. Both John & Karen were very helpful & kind especially as there was a mix up with arrival dates transmitted through Sykes to them. The area was great for sight seeing & the property was easy to find. Dad especially enjoyed the quietness of the surroundings being rural.

It was about a 20 minute drive to Bourton on the Water, and it was very warm all week. Thunderstorms from Friday to Monday, but enjoyed watching the lightning from the accommodation. Had a leisurely drive to eat out for lunch each day, and the The Pheasant at Toddington did very good food. Overall the accommodation was very clean, a very high standard and Karen (the owner) was very nice to deal with. We cannot fault the place. Full marks to Wytons Piece! Great accommodation and would recommend staying here any time.

Our teenage children loved the place. Our daughter loved the decor, and son loved the view. The woodburner worked brilliantly, and the underfloor heating was suitably effective. Was a lovely bonus to have the farmer and his wife (the owners) show us the sheep being fed in the barn behind the house, complete with explanation of the history of the property Will definitely be back

Hosts were excellent, came to make sure we had everything we needed, brought some toys for the kids to play with outside and some hay so that they could feed their sheep in the neighbouring field. Accommodation is perfect for a toddler with only 2 single steps in the whole place, is very comfortable and contains everything needed for a very pleasant stay. Most places to visit are within 35mins, so you feel nicely remote but not completely cut off. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and if we were to visit the Cotswolds again it would definitely be top of the list for places to stay!

  • "Spotlessly clean, the most immaculate upkeep of any property I’ve ever stayed in, quality furnishings/decor and wonderful owners!"

The owners were so accommodating, calling a few days before our arrival to see if we had any questions, and working their schedule around the timing of our anticipated delayed arrival and a particular request I had. There was plenty of sanitising hand gel displayed at the front door and safety equipment such as extinguisher/blanket and alarms were plentiful and well placed which was also a reassurance that guest safety was also a priority for the owners, I was so very very impressed, from the minute we arrived. Everything in the property was of an excellent standard and such absolute quality, from the beautiful curtain material, the alcove lighting, spotlights and lamps, unbelievably comfy sofas, and the most wonderful bed I’ve ever stayed in and the best sleep I’ve ever had on holiday. The new bedroom furniture that the owner explained was added recently, and all the bedding, were beautiful. All windows were also very clean, there was not even a finger mark or smudge anywhere in the whole accommodation and the large flooring was just as spotlessly clean as everywhere else. The under floor heating was also wonderful as were the heated towel rails and ample wood burner logs were available. Kitchen appliances such as coffee maker, toaster and kettle plus microwave were all immaculate and again, quality brands. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils available, it even had a rolling pin, whisk, spatula, cake tin etc, plenty of dishware and frying pans and all were spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was on hand, including a radio, board games, an iron and ironing board. The welcome pack was super informative not just about the property, but where to find supermarkets, which local villages had shops/delis etc, plus info on the style and character of each local area. I downloaded a Netflix series onto my tablet before travelling just in case, but found the Wifi steady and reliable on all our phones and tablets for browsing, facebook, whatsapp etc, and the large TV freeview reception and picture was also excellent quality. My mature father found the handrails on the internal step to kitchen and bedroom so very helpful as it meant he could trot around independently which was priceless for him and just another example where the owners have been super thoughtful. My Dad and brother both also loved the convenience of a wet room, super easy for people with limited mobility or dodgy knees - both bathrooms were superb, all the grouting and sealant were absolutely pristine and again a reflection of the owners' commitment to quality standards. The location is also ideal for exploring the Cotswolds villages, Oxford and even the Redwings horse sanctuary at Oxhill as there are only five Redwings in the country. It’s also within super easy travelling distance to the Hook Norton brewery which still has Shire horses and a Clydesdale. The property is set so that you are not overlooked and have seclusion and privacy, plenty of parking and beautiful views. We city folk were agog at the amount of stars in the sky. We loved watching the very entertaining sheep, red kites and pheasants during the day, plus the occasional hare darting across the fields just before sunset while chatting about interesting property features such as the pictures of the barn pre conversion, the stonework and alcoves, the feature canvas picture, beautiful internal doors and even what brilliant smooth plastering work had been done throughout, we thought that was a work of art in itself. It was such a super property, that staying in was as enjoyable as going out. The owners were a phone call away if we had any questions or needed anything but it was just absolutely perfect, it was such excellent value for money and I can absolutely recommend it. My sincere compliments to the owners for the beautiful upkeep of such a large property - it really is as spacious as it looks on the pictures so we all had plenty of personal space, yet it also had a warmth, charm and cosiness that reflects the obvious constant hard work and thought that the owners have put into the beautiful décor and amenities to make it such as wonderful place for guests. We just loved it.

That is such a wonderful review and very much appreciated. Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad to hear that you had an amazing stay at Wytons Piece. It's always lovely to hear how much a guest has enjoyed their stay and we hope to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

We were warmly greeted by Karen who had arranged with us to collect the keys. The property is stocked with everything you would need and was in the most beautifully location. The layout was ideal and there is plenty of space for everyone. We were lucky that the weather was hot and sunny and we made use of the outside court yard for evening food and drinks. The location of the property provides easy access to all surrounding villages and we travelled to Oxford for the day which was approx 40 minutes drive away, and also chipping Norton which is around 10 minutes away. A few minutes away is the village of Shipston on Stour and we stopped off at the Norman Knight one evening to make use of the beer garden for food and drinks. The fish and chips are highly recommended! All in all we had a wonder family break in a lovely property in a wonderful location. To top it off We found a home made cake in the fridge which Karen had kindly made (unbeknown to us) which was a lovely touch for our birthday celebrations and it was delicious! Owners kindly met us and showed us around the beautiful spacious cottage. All beautifully set out and clean. Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy meals in. The wood burner was lovely to come home to and quickly got the cottage very cosy indeed. The description said that only a starter pack of logs would be provided but we found that there was enough to last us our 5 night stay as we only lit it in the evenings. Again the description said that the wifi was not suitable for streaming but we got excellent coverage all over the cottage and could happily stream music and tv so this was an added bonus.
