  • "Apartment ok but our stay was spoiled by the location, in our opinion not a holiday let."

    TV not working. Cooker hob difficult to use, in fact never managed to get it to work. No wine glasses. No small plates. No parking. Would not use again and would not recommend.

    Hi Thank you for your feedback:- 1.TV IS WORKING-I personally checked it with manager 3 hours prior to the check in. Its a smart TV not an anolog one with apps and free view al ready downloaded. You will need to use your own password and mobile phone to log into BBC i-player-You tube-Netflix, , STV all working fine. Manager spend some time over the phone giving you instructions on how to use it. Tv was checked during post-check out clean and is working fine. I agree that these latest smart TV can be difficult to use especially if one is used to anolog TVs. 2.Electric induction Cooker working fine-Manager spend some time giving you instructions on how to use it after you checked in. During post check out clean up-evidence that induction hob was used.(cooking oil stains). Once again induction hob check during post check-out clean up and is working fine. 3. Apologies for not having wine glasses- We will do better next time. 4.Small plates -yes there are 4 of them located in kitchen cabinets. This has been confirmed prior to your check-in and during post check out clean up. 5.Parking is available- Instructions on where to park was given to you bt Sykes cottages during info with key collection. An ancient port, Arbroath’s status as a town can be dated from 1178, when Arbroath Abbey was founded. The Abbey was subsequently consecrated in 1197 and there is a dedication to Saint Thomas Becket in the Abbey. The famous Declaration of Arbroath, the desire for Scottish self-determination, was signed in the Abbey in 1320. Arbroath’s influence grew over the subsequent centuries and particularly during the Industrial Revolution through the flax and jute industries, as well as fishing with the town boasting one of the largest fishing ports in Scotland by the 20th century. It is known for its long sandy beaches, as well as the Arbroath Smokie, with its haddock, traditionally salted overnight, dried, and then smoked over a hardwood fire. There are several traditional smokehouses around the harbour, with many well worth a visit, as well as excellent restaurants for fine dining. With lots of coastal walking and cycling, as well as golf courses and Carnoustie only 8 miles along the coast, there are plenty of attractions and activities in an around this lovely coastal town.
