"Strange men delivering wood at 7am to the property right outside bedroom window."
Speaking very loudly no chance of relaxing or a lie in. Property is connected to owners home zero tolerance for dog to be left unattended. No dust pan provided but owner expected spotless floors. High risk of being charged housekeeping at this property.
Hi there, thank you for your comments. You left your dog alone in the property for hours in a strange environment and of course your dog became stressed and upset. As a dog lover this is completely unacceptable. Your dog also caused damage to windowsills which had to be quickly sanded and repainted before the next guests arrived. You left the property in a disgusting state, I even had to bin bedding. Had you not damaged our lovely little cottage and left it in such a disgusting state you wouldn't have been charged anything at all. 99% of our guests are absolutely fantastic. Property Owner

"Lindsay Cottage is a lovely modern, clean space that has everything for a relaxing break."
Having two enclosed areas is ideal for dog owners along with the outdoor dog shower for after walks on the beach or in the forest. The sunken outdoor bath is a perfect way to relax before a comfortable sleep. We will have no hesitation in returning to explore the area further in the future.

"This has to be the best cottage we have stayed in."
Well furnished, with a real homely feel and decorated beautifully - just perfect for our Christmas get away. The views from the windows looked out onto fields and although on a busy road, it was private and well protected. The outside bath is a great gimmick - perfect for a Boxing Day dip! (The cold temperature did not deter the children who enjoyed it). The bed’s are really comfy and the pillows were great (no cricks in our necks or doubling up to make it more comfy). Proper fluffy towels to wrap yourself up with after a shower - which is out of this world - were the cherry on top! We were worried that with it being a dog friendly cottage and not being dog owners that there would be a ‘dog smell’ - but no! Did not even find a sly dog hair as the standard of cleaning was exceptional, and reading the visitors book, we were in the minority as most people had dogs! Over all a fabulous cottage - one which is on our list to return to, so we can explore more of the area (and have an outdoor bath again).

"Lindsay cottage is outstanding!"
Best cottage we’ve stayed in! The cottage is finished to Such a high standard and everything has been thought of! The location of the cottage is brilliant, short walk into town and right opposite the woods!

"We had wonderful stay."
It felt like home to us. The cottage has everything you need and is tastefully and comfortably furnished. We have been to a lot of holiday apartments and it never was as Clean as here. We were very happy about the flowers and the cake as a welcome. It's a very beautiful area and we saw a lot: Glamis castle, Dunottar castle, Edinburgh and we did some nice hikes. Katie gave us good suggestions on what to do and was very welcoming and kind. If we visit Scotland again we will definitely be back. Thanks so much

"An amazing little cottage in a beautiful area of Scotland."
Katie and Andrew, the owners, have thought of everything; child, dog and adult friendly! So many great recommendations for places to go, wish we could have stayed longer. Also liked that the owners introduced themselves but didn't feel like they were spying on us for whole week even though they live next door (we have had this before in previous cottages we have rented!) Thanks!

"The most amazing cottage."
Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. They had thought of everything you need for a relaxing time away. Safe to say this was the best house we have stayed at and we have stayed at many dog friendly houses across the country over the years. Lovely secure garden to the side of the house that certainly caught the sun along with the covered outdoor sitting area. Can’t wait to return.

"Enjoyed our stay at Lindsay Cottage, it's a cute little property and the owners are very helpful and kind."
In Kirriemuir we had lovely meals at 88 degress cafe and Airlee Arms Hotel. The strawberry ice cream at East Scryne Farm in Carnoustie is delicious and a visit to Broughty Ferry makes a great day out. Soak up the sea views while having lunch at The Glass Pavillion. All in all a great wee holiday.

"This cottage was perfect in every way , so clean and well presented , Katie and Andrew have done a superb job with the property, there was a nice welcome pack on arrival inc the dog treats !"
. There was some good information given on local walks and eating places which we tried most of them, the cottage is a great location to explore the surrounding area and Kirriemuir is about a 15-20 minute walk to all the amenities, we will definitely be recommending the cottage to others and would to come back in the future.

"Katie and Andrew very helpful with suggestions for eating out etc."
Also on hand to deal with any issues. A beautiful well appointed property. We didn't need to use the out door dog wash, but a super practical facility. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Kirriemuir. Pam Iain &Lotte

"Beautifully presented and well equipped cottage."
Located in a peaceful area but still close to local amenities. Outdoor seating area very nice and would be great in the summer. Owners was available if needed and were very welcoming. Nice little touches such as milk on arrival and flowers in vases. Lovely break away.

The owner was also very helpful and attentive.

"We loved the cottage, it was immaculate comfortable and all you need in a home from home."
We actually met the owners who were friendly and welcoming. Loved the doggie outdoor shower as did Rosie. Woodburner was great, comfy beds. Area is beautiful. Lovely local walks and the Glens are stunning. Yes we will be back!

"My hubby our dog and I had a lovely stay at this beautiful wee cottage."
Upon arrival there was a lovely cake awaiting us along with tea and coffee and milk in the fridge. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Modern Cozy and comfortable. The owners have decorated it to the highest standard. The log burner was fantastic along with the power shower in the bathroom. The Outdoor sunken bath was lovely too and a fun touch to our stay. Our dog loved the doggy washing station outside the property too. Beautiful surroundings with lovely walks.
