The house was beautiful and the views were stunning. We spent alot of time just staring out the windows watching the birds. The house was really clean and had everything we needed and more. I loved the extra touches like the welcome hamper, free decanter of port and chocolates on offer. We will definitely recommend this to our friends, Thankyou to the owner for giving us the opportunity to share this beautiful house.

  • "An extremely well equipped and spacious home in a stunning location."

The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. Unfortunately the weather didn't permit full use of the garden which would have been a bonus. Very conveniently situated for Pitlochry which we walked into several times. One minor suggestion, a small mirror for shaving close to the basin in the two main bathrooms. We would thoroughly recommend Balvaig. We had a great week.

We were joined by our son and daughter and their partners and our baby granddaughter. There was lots of space for us all in this luxurious, bright and spacious property. Beautifully presented and maintained gardens and outdoor space was great as we hit lucky with lots of sunny weather. Couldn’t speak too highly of this property and the owner who provided lots of useful advice and responded immediately to resolve one tiny issue we had.

We were not disappointed. A great week of walking and enjoying the delights of Pitlochry and surrounding area. The house has lost none of its charm and elegance. Fabulous views from the lounge that just tempt you to sit and enjoy, beautifully furnished, very well equipped kitchen and large comfortable bedrooms. A few cold evenings meant we could enjoy the log burner, wonderful. The Moulin Inn is a short walk away. Wonderful week and I have a feeling we may well visit again next year if available.

Alternatively, there are plenty of options in to eat out in Pitlochry (5 minutes in the car or a half-hour walk along a footpath). In terms of the outdoors, there are plenty of walks from the cottage, or a short drive away; it is an excellent base.

Absolutely stunning, beautifully furnished and immaculate. The views from every window are a complete joy, changing with the ever changing weather and we could have quite happily sat in the garden or the amazing lounge and just enjoyed the property but we were there to enjoy the great walks in the area, but what a fabulous property to return to.
