  • "Very clean and comfortable."

The double bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was good and well stocked with dishes etc and equipment. Good shower upstairs and nice bathroom downstairs. Should mention that upstairs has coomed ceilings which would be difficult for a tall person. The house is on a small lane but near the busy main road which can be noisy at night - not to mention the seagulls!! The owner was helpful and friendly. Portsoy is a lovely small town on the Moray Firth coast which has many coastal walks. Aspire is a good place to eat but booking is recommended and check opening times.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are booked in to Aspire in a couple of weeks and are really looking forward to trying it, thank you for the recommendation Property Owner

Thank you for your lovely feedback. Your suggestion of a footstool is a great idea and we shall get one for our next trip to Portsoy. Hope to welcome you again soon x A little update - we now have a footstool Property Owner

  • "Thanks for a lovely stay."

Very comfortable cottage. Nice and close to cafes, shops, pubs and ice cream shop. Park was also close for walking the dog. The decking area at the back door was a real sun trap and it was well enclosed for the dog. Great holiday.

So glad you had such a nice time. Thank you for choosing our cottage for your holiday. Hope to see you again soon x Property Owner

  • "Stairs to master bedroom quite steep."

Wouldn’t recommend them for older visitors or people with mobility issues. We couldn’t use this bedroom. Garden is very small and not really suitable for dogs in my opinion. The cottage is beautifully clean and well equipped. Parking outside was excellent and the location is fabulous. The welcome pack was very generous and the cottage is cosy, we had a lovely 3 days in Portsoy.

Thanks for your feedback and for the very positive comments about the cottage. Just for helpful information, it is an ex-fisherman's cottage, albeit completely modernised and equipped for creature comforts. The photos give a true representation of the cottage and the garden, with the garden being an easy maintained nice space to relax and catch the sun (when we have some!). These cottages do not have vast swathes of land with them as the photos show. There is a large and beautiful park which runs around Loch Soy just behind the garden which you can get to within a 2 minute walk in either direction from the house if something bigger is required for exercise. We've updated the description to advise that the stairs are a little steep for those with mobility difficulties, thanks again. Property Owner
