"Lovely clean, warm and comfortable house, beautiful quiet setting, my brothers ..."
Lovely clean, warm and comfortable house, beautiful quiet setting, my brothers dog stayed with us for a few days and he enjoyed the big garden with all the new smells, plenty of places to go on walks right from the front door, we saw a gold crest for the first time on the trees outside the house, would definitely stay again

"For the cost of the property we were dissappointed, could not use bath as plug was defective, not allowed to remove shower head from its cradle to shower properly, mattress in main bedroom quite uncomfortable as were the sofas."
Garden was only enclosed on two sides one side was open into forest, river and pond regularly used by the outdoor centre next door. Property described as very quiet and private this was not so, people feeding horses out front a few times a day acceptable but the noise from the large groups of youngsters/people from the outdoor centre that were using the pond etc. right next to the open garden, spent alot of time watching my dog when outside because she is only a pup 12 months and was terrified of her following the voices of the youngsters and getting lost in the forest (she loves kids/missed our grandkids) we wrongly assumed from the photos of the property that the garden ideal for dogs was enclosed. We would not stay there again but the property was in a lovely setting and area, we loved Aviemore area, bungalow was well equiped, clean and warm and probably more suited to younger people into hiking etc
Our bath is fully functional. Simply turn the wheel by the taps to secure the plug. We make it very clear to all our guests via email prior to their visit that we can help with any problems at any time. Property Owner

"The cottage was great."
-
"Fantastic property and location, well equipped kitchen."
WiFi signal exceeded expectations given the remote location. Thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday lots of time spent in the woods making up games with our 4 year old and visiting some of the local attractions. This is the 4th time we have stayed in feshiebridge and this is our favourite property, will definitely be booking again next year

"Another wonderful stay at Tigh An Tearlach"
-
"Great location close to many walks River nearby Loved to see the Hares outside the cottage I can recommend a nearby Munro Sgor Gaoith a short drive down Glen Feshie with a carpark near the end of the road."
Comfortable beds house had everything you required.
-
"Great location and really comfortable."
Lovely to be able to park up for a week and explore by bike and on foot.
-
"We loved the cottage and the location, which was central for lots of walks and runs."
L and we enjoyed the birds and other wildlife that visited every day/night. The cottage was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious for the two of us. The welcome pack of Scottish tea, coffee and tablet was a lovely touch. Our only gripe was the poor water pressure in the shower but that's probably not something easily fixed and certainly wouldn't put us off staying there again!
-
"Super tranquil location, very comfortable and well equipped."
Owner very friendly and helpful. Excellent stay.
-
"An idyllic location in the heart of the Cairngorms."
Slot of thought had gone into the facilities and decor. The dogs were contented loving the freedom of the garden. Would definitely stay again.
-

We love the peace and tranquility of the location. Lovely memories to take home with us.

"We absolutely loved our 2 week stay here."
What a fantastic location - so peaceful with just the sound of the river Feshie and birds. The cottage was perfect for myself, hubby and 2 spaniels, really well equipped (for humans and dogs!), very comfortable and relaxing with wonderful large windows to watch the birds on the feeder, deer and hares in the field. Plenty of great walks on the doorstep, easy access to longer walks into Glen Feshie, Loch an Eilean (and many more) and only a short drive to Aviemore, Rothiemurchus and the Cairngorm Ski Centre. Plenty of swimming opportunities too in nearby rivers and lochs! Lovely welcome pack of Highland blend tea bags, fresh coffee and delicious fudge on arrival, extra clean sets of bedding and spare towels. In our 15 years of coming up to stay in the Cairngorms, this has been our favourite - can't believe we didn't find you sooner! Thank you for a fantastic 2 weeks, we will be back.
-
"Lovely cottage in a superb location."
Scrupulously clean. Comfortable beds.

"Tigh an Tearlach is the perfect place for a restful break."
The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped and in beautiful surroundings. We were surrounded by birds and animals and every morning woke to the sound of the river, only a couple of hundred yards away. We enjoyed walking from the property and there is a huge variety of things to do in the local area. This was our third visit and unlikely to be our last.
-
"A lovely cottage in a superb location."
Warm & comfortable with everything we needed for a great stay. If you want peace & quiet to escape, then this is perfect. Easy access to the dozens of trails through the nearby forests & a short drive to Aviemore for supplies. This is our second stay and will definitely be back. We have even recommended it to our friends & family.
-
"Maybe hooks in the bathrooms for dressing gowns ."
We would definitely stay there again, if we were in the area. We didnt cook much , but there was everything you could want in the kitchen, all in good working order. Lovely bed linen, duvets and pillows. Very sad to leave the two beautiful horses, we spent a lot of time watching them, it was like having two large pet dogs, always came across to say hello. Also saw the hare in the field.
-
"Great place, great holiday."
Fantastic location. Loads of walks direct from the cottage. Loved it. We will be back, I hope
-
"Had a fantastic week in this adorable cottage."
Superb location with endless trails to walk & mountain bike on. Only stayed a week so will definitely book again very soon.
-
"Whilst it was not too much of a problem for us but we feel that there could be a warning that the television signal is intermittent and non-existent when raining."
A repositioning of the dish might help.

"Scenery and walks"

"Tigh an Tearlach is a spacious but cosy cottage in a very quiet and beautiful location."
It was spotless and warm, well equipped with many new additions since our previous visit two years previously. Despite its isolation the house is conveniently placed for visiting the whole Cairngorm region and is only 10 minutes drive from the Highland Wildlife park and 40 minutes from Inverness. There are lots of local walks and it is a perfect place to unwind. This is a very special place.
-
"Booked Tigh An Tearlach at short notice after being let down by another company."
Great house set in a great location (Aviemore 10 minutes drive, Inverness 40). Lovely riverside walks right from your door and other more challenging walks via the surrounding forests and hills close by. Lots of wildlife around including hare, deer, squirrels and raptors. The house has everything you need (wifi works fine but no mobile service down at the house). Overall, Tearlach is ideal for a family with a dog or two - the short track down is not a problem and I have a small VW. It is close to an outdoor centre but that was shut when we visited so it was very quiet.
-
"WOW what a place , we really enjoyed TIGH AN TEARLACH ."
As someone who had to shield i was worried about the cleaning . The place was so clean when you entered you could tell the owners cared about the cleaning . We had amazing weather for the time of year and loved sitting and relaxing outside in the lovely garden and watching the wildlife . The location is brilliant , our dog enjoyed the walks we had every day . You can find many walks on your doorstep truly amazing walks . The cottage is very well equipped , the wood burner heats the living room very well . Nice spacious kitchen , good bathrooms , Look out for the many birds and squirrels eating from the birdfeeder from the kitchen window . We loved this cottage so much we are looking to go back there . Lots to do in the surrounding area and its so beautiful . If you go to the Old Post office for a lovely coffee it gets very busy so be prepared to wait a while . Had a fantastic time , we really did not want to come home . Brett , Caroline and Ty ( the dog )

"This was our first time holidaying in the Cairngorms and we were not disappointed."
Such a beautiful cottage in a perfect location, so many things to see and do in the immediate area. The wildlife was abundant, not a day went bye without sighting something amazing, our favourite spot was a badger just up the road. We will definitely be returning.
-
"Lovely comfortable house in a gorgeous location."
-
"The comfort and cleanlinessof the cottage, the wildlife, the walks and the scenery."
-
"The cottage was spacious and more than met the needs of our family of four (including two young children."
) It is situated in an incredible location providing the peace and tranquility of the surrounding woodlands whilst being in easy reach of the wider areas main attractions, such as the Highland Wildlife Park and the Cairngorms Ski Resort. We really couldn't have asked for more.
-
"This bungalow ticked every box for us."
The location is fantastic with extensive walking in pretty much any direction. The bungalow itself exceeded expectations. We literally only needed to take our clothes.. everything was provided! This was a fantastic base from which to launch our first visit to Scotland and would certainly recommend to others and will return ourselves.
-
"Such a lovely cottage that was immaculately clean, rooms were spacious and comfortable, the area is gorgeous and there are so many fantastic walks close by, we highly recommend and would love to return."
-
"Great location, ideal for kids and dogs, warm well equipped bungalow."
-
"A wonderfully cosy home with excellent facilities and in such a peaceful setting."
Stayed here twice so far and can't wait to return. There are plenty of walks right on your doorstep and Aviemore is a short drive away if you need to stock up on supplies.
-
"A lovely cottage set in an idyllic place, perfect for exploring the Cairngorms."
-
"It would be 10 out of 10 but I logged on before my holiday and found I needed to enter my birth date to "activate" the insurance I had purchased with the holiday."
I was unsure if this means originally I had purchased insurance, the cost of which had been taken but I may not have actually been covered. Maybe this activation should be scrapped or made more clear and money not taken until activation is completed.
-
"This was a very comfortable cottage in a fabulous location."
The wildlife in the cottage garden really added to the experience of staying there.
-
"The access track was rather rough and the directions to finding it could have been clearer."
However, the cottage was well positioned with a nice view to the front. It was well equipped and furnished.
-
"The owner was very kind: she helped us to find the cottage, had already prepared the fireplace ready to lit when we arrived in cold rainy weather, and even had provided some treats for our dog."
The place is ideally situated for hiking as you can start just from the cottage, or drive only a few minutes to other paths starting points. When returning we enjoyed the cosy rooms or went to the river which is really nice.
-
"Lovely location, no neighbours except for two horses."
nobody came by so very easy to relax.
-
"Many properties say that pets are permitted or allowed but at Tigh an Tearlach they are really welcome."
Caroline, the friendly owner had provided bowls, beds and treats for our two dogs - which was just so thoughtful. This was our third visit to this property, with great facilities and a wonderful woodburning stove, this is a perfect place for a winter break in this part of Scotland.
-
"Once again, lovely cosy cottage, cannot find any faults."
We love it and hope to be back soon.
-
"This is the second time at Tigh anTearlach and we were not disappointed."
The place is always clean and comfy, has wonderful views and is off the beaten track which we loved.
-
"Fab area to visit, cosy well equipped cottage."
Will stay here again.
-
"Cottage excellent in many many ways, the grounds and area around cottage excellent."
The only moan we had was the settees in the lounge very uncomfortable and harsh to sit on.Beds excellent and gave a great nights sleep.Did not want for anything at the property thanks so much for a lovely stay.
-
"We had a fantastic break at this lovely isolated cottage in a beautiful situation."
-
"The cottage is wonderfully remote but finding it was not helped by the property directions which begin ‘From the A9 turn off into the village of Kincraig."
..’ The A9 is a busy dual carriageway at his point so if arriving from the South vehicles need to leave just after Kingussie turning onto the B9152 which runs parallel with the A9 and Kincraig is on this road. Tigh An Tearlach is a surprisingly spacious bungalow. It was warm and comfortable and over the week we came to love the place. One downside was that the bath taps didn’t function but we noticed a spare in the utility room so this is clearly in hand. The shower worked well. The river Feshie is 5 minutes walk away and there are many signed woodland walks within a few miles. Native wildlife abounds and the Highland Wildlife park is only 10-15 minutes away by car, making an annual pass very good value, particularly as it also allows unlimited visits to Edinburgh and a number of other Zoos around the UK. We missed the crowds by having 3 early morning visits and had wonderful quiet views of the animals including, of course, Hamish, the young Polar Bear!
-
"Tigh An Tearlach was really well equipped and did not want for anything."
Ideally located for exploring the stunning Cairngorms but also lovely walks locally. Really peaceful location.
-
"Idyllic location."
So peaceful and stunning scenic routes around for walks. Within easy reach of lots of attractions. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Even went so far as to have separate fridge for dog food, spare dog bowls and left a dog treat out.
-
"The location was perfect for us and the dogs, lovely local walks in the forest."
Chilled evening sat outside. Just a wonderful peaceful holiday . The only negative side , and it is nit picking and wasn't important. A radio for some music in the kitchen. And no hot water early morning, we get up at 6 and there was no hot water until later. Does the timer need advancing. ?
-
"Lovely warm spacious cottage, home from home."
Had everything you needed and more. Great location for exploring the local area. Very quiet and peaceful watching the horses, birds and squirrels from the windows.
-
"This is a great cottage, the pictures don't do it justice."
It's in the middle of forest surrounded by mountains with a stream at the side of the property and a river at the bottom of the garden. Fantastic place to take your dog, we had a great time and would definitely consider going again. The log burner keeps the whole house cosy which was a definite plus as it snowed a lot whilst we were there. The track leading down to the house was a bit tricky in the snow and ice but perfectly fine as I had snow tyres on the car. Great cottage.
-
"Lovely cottage, very comfortable & well equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc."
Location is great with only a few properties in the area.
-
"Great cosy house in a fantastic remote location."
House was bigger than expected, very clean and you`ll find everything you need. Good Wifi and great views out of the windows. Perfect holiday!
-
"Living room settees rather uncomfortable."
Table and chairs in kitchen ditto.
-
"Lovely tranquil location, yet plenty of things to do not too far away."
Bungalow is equipped for every necessity and suitable for any season.
-
"Very nice cottage, full of comfort."
We had a great time. peaceful surrounding, far away from city life. Good base for exploring the central highlands.
-
"Was in an amazing location, could not fault it at all."
-
"Wonderfully spacious all mod cons a suitable place for all ages to find ..."
Wonderfully spacious all mod cons a suitable place for all ages to find something to do within driving distance will definitely return
-
"The cottage was perfect for me."
Every facility that I could need was there. The cottage was really comfortable. The wood burning fire was a bonus. The location is perfect for outdoors activities. In my case that meant being within walking distance of Feshiebridge airfield and the Cairngorm Gliding Club.
-
"It was perfect all we needed was food shopping the place was nice and the scenery standing the river two minutes walk total cell out."
