"This lovely former fisherman's cottage has been thoughtfully refurbished and provides a cosy and comfortable holiday home."
The property was very clean and tidy and is well maintained and well equipped. It is perfectly situated being a 2 minute walk from the beach and 5 minute walk to Nairn town centre.
"Lovely cottage well equipped and so near the beach well worth the money,"
Thank you. Property Owner
"Second stay at the property."
Great house, close to beach
Thank you for your feedback Matthew. Property Owner
"Great location near to the town and beach."
Thank you for your feedback. It would be helpful to know the reasons for a reduced score for comfort, maintenance and faciities. With more detailed information I can endeavour to improve these points, particularly maintenance and facilities, comfort can be subjective. Property Owner

Thank you. I'm glad you had a comfortable stay. Property Owner
"Some sachets of coffee, salt etc would have been nice as we had to go to the shop when first arriving apart from this the cottage was absolutely fabulous."
There should have been, tea, coffee and shortbread ready for your arrival. I'm not sure what happened on this occasion, apologies. Property Owner
"Cottage was a great location and really well equipped, we really enjoyed our stay."
"A fabulous cottage set in the perfect location in Nairn"
"A very pleasant cottage ideally located in Nairn, very close to the beach and harbour."
Everything was fine, including being clean and tidy. The bathroom and kitchen are nicely modern and the cottage has all the basics needed. Given the surge pricing, understandable due to the times we are in and early August stay, it’s fair we also judge to slightly higher standards. We believe it is not unreasonable to expect a slightly higher quality of furnishings, tableware, an ageing TV that doesn’t come to life randomly, and more than the one perfunctory dishwasher tablet. The abundance of notes explaining away the various foibles as to the working of various things was a little discomfiting also. That said, these points are feedback points from us, we had a lovely holiday and no doubt you will also.
Thank you for your comments, which I take very seriously. I’m glad you enjoyed your holiday. I have discussed your feedback with Sykes who point out your feedback is extraordinary. 59 Society Street is a ‘self-catering’ establishment catering for all kinds of people with a myriad tastes, needs, desires and priorities. I endeavor to meet these requirements but as you can imagine it is impossible to please everyone. The safety of guests during Covid 19 has been a priority in recent months and I see you agree with a score of 100% for cleanliness. Your unease regarding the ‘abundance’ of notes is unfortunate. They are for there convenience and comfort of all guests. Property Owner
"The Cottage was really lovely and tastefully done."
It was more spacious and more well equipped than expected. If you are worried that you need to pack something, just ask, it is probably there. Amazing location. The East Beach was our favourite. We were able to wade out quite far at low tide and saw dolphins. Easy journey to Loch Ness, Culloden, castles and more.
"Spotless and spacious accommodation, very well equipped in a superb location which provided an ideal base for a lovely stay in Nairn."
"Given a low cleanliness mark, the place was spotless however when we went to use the dishes some of the plates stacked lower In the pile in the cupboard looked Like they had been put away dirty."
This was easily fixed. To be fair the owner may not have been aware of this. But enjoyed our stay and would consider going back to the same cottage.
"We were very lucky as we had great weather."
Best thing being as we are getting older the lovely walks were all manageable. Wonderful places to eat and a very good choice of restaurants..
"A lovely cottage with a well equipped Kitchen."
2 minutes to dunes and beach. A lovely location for any one who enjoys sea scapes, marshes and woods.
"Very close to the beach which we loved!"
Cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. Great holiday
"The accommodation was excellent."
Everything worked. The location is perfect, 2 minutes from the beach. Inverness, culloden, delfine, distilleries are all within half an hour (with car). The accommodation is family friendly and we would book again anytime.
"Beautiful cottage, fantastic location, owner could not do enough for us."
Everything was perfect places to eat 2 minutes away beach on the doorstep could not have asked for anything better.
"59 Society Street is a delightful and sympathetic restoration of a traditional fishertown house that provides all the convenience of modern living but retains the feel of the original house."
The bedrooms are bright, but also cosy, and the beds are very comfortable. The modern kitchen is excellent. The settees in the sitting room are getting a bit tired, and not the most comfortable, but it is a lovely space to spend time with friends or family. Location is ideal, close to the sea and the links, and there are any number of excellent places to eat or drink nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return some day.
"The cottage is surprisingly spacious and tastefully decorated - much better than the photos showed it to be."
The kitchen is very well equipped.
"The cottage was in a great location and a great base to able you to visit this lovely part of the world."

Nairn is an attractive and lively seaside town dating back to Victorian times. It has long been a popular holiday destination and is just 16 miles from the town of Inverness. Nairn even lays claim to being one of the driest and sunniest places in the country! The town offers some of the top beaches in Scotland and cleanest bathing waters in Britain. Nairn is steeped in history and is closely linked with the Battle of Culloden, whilst nearby Fort George is Europe’s best preserved 18th century military fortification. Shakespeare’s famed Cawdor Castle and Brodie Caste are both within 15 mins drive. Golfing enthusiasts will be attracted to the two 18-hole championship courses, including the Nairn Golf Club, and the town also has an outdoor tennis court as well as a squash court for hire. The yearly Nairn Highland Games in August draws a wide crowd and The Nairn Book and Arts Festival is a popular year event. Whitewater rafting, tubing and cliff jumping are all available for those with a spirit for adventure.
