  • "Ulla Dhu is a cosy and very comfortable cottage close to Nethy Bridge."

The host was kind enough to provide welcome gifts and helped with suggestions of things to do tailored to our interests. The cottage is well maintained and decorated to a high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped as well as having fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Excellent walk in shower in downstairs toilet and bath, also with a shower facility, in upstairs bathroom. Sitting room is very comfortable and family friendly books, board games and DVDs are also available. Access to the Speyside Way from the bottom of the garden means a easy walk to Nethy Bridge! Regular bus service also available from end of farm drive. It was great to be able to leave the car behind. I would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return very soon.

  • "It is a lovely cottage which has been done to a high standard, the kitchen is well equipped and was designed well."

The little extras were very thoughtful and we found Susan extremely helpful. The location of the cottage is great as you had a handy walk to the village without walking on the road, central to activities to the north and south of the Cairngorms. Being on a farm it was great to have cows in the field next door and be able to go and say hello to.

  • "We had such a great stay at Ulla Dhu."

The cottage is really homely and clean and is really well kitted out. Our kids really enjoyed all the board games on offer too! We loved being so close to Nethy Bridge and the Speyside way is literally at the bottom of the garden. We really enjoyed ourselves and have already rebooked to go back next year. Many thanks!

  • "Lovely cottage in peacefully location, only negative points were the single beds were very hard and the back garden was only mowed on the last full day we were there so grass was very long and the kitchen front window when opened was really difficult to close."

All in all a lovely place to stay.

  • "Not only was the cottage comfortable and cosy, we have never stayed in such a well-equipped self-catering property!"

Usually there's no tin opener, tongs, oven gloves etc but there was everything you could imagine! Even scales and a pastry brush! Loved it! The coffee machine was loved by us too. We arrived to a lovely welcome of treats left out for us. The kids were delighted! Everything was spotless and recently decorated to a high standard. The 4 cosy blankets in the living room were a thoughtful addition aswell as the footstool full of books and dvds, boardgames and wordsearch and colouring book. It was great that we could sign into our own Netflix etc. I used the washing machine a few times and was happy to discover a decent iron and ironing board which I rarely find in self catering places. The drying rack was a good one too. Even the towels were perfect. Huge and 2 each. Lovely big shower in downstairs showerroom and big bath in bathroom upstairs. The toiletries dispensers on the walls were brilliant! I want them at home! Susan, the owner could not have been more helpful. She popped round one day to give us some tennis racquets and balls for in the garden. The kids were loving playing with those aswell as the swingball, velcro bats and the quoits set. So friendly and welcoming. The perfect host! We have already recommended the cottage to lots of friends and will not hesitate to return.

It had all the facilities we could want, including a well-equipped kitchen, good wi-fi and Sky TV. We really appreciated the welcome gifts from our hosts too! It is very well placed for exploring the whole Cairngorm area and looking for wildlife. We enjoyed discovering the many local walking trails - the Speyside Way is literally at the end of the garden. It was perfect for a peaceful but luxurious holiday.
