  • "This was our second visit and that says it all!"

Situated at the end of a small private housing estate, the rear of the bungalow gives spectacular views over Bull Bay (where there’s lots of activity) and direct access to the coast path. The living accommodation is spacious and well appointed and throughout the property is well equipped. The large sun room is superb. There is a large garden; young children need to be supervised because of the levels. Overall this is a property that would suit all ages and abilities. Highly recommended.

  • "Absolutely stunning house the sea view from the back is a lovely site to see even on a grim day, the kids loved looking out for the ships in the distance."

Very comfortable, clean, lovely house very well equipped. The access to the coastal path at the bottom of the garden is great the kids loved it and we went on little walks everyday. The only issue we had was the flush on the toilet in the main bathroom isn't the best but just a mini gripe. We will certainly be returning to this house for more holidays, we didn't want to come home!!

Thanks for the feedback Natalie - the toilet flush has been fixed! New conservatory with bi-fold doors currently being built which I hope will add to the property. Hope you can make it back to Amlwch soon. Property Owner

  • "This property is amazing and if you are planning on staying here you will not be disappointed."

The bungalow offers everything that you would need making it the perfect home from home staycation. The master bedroom is bright and airy and the double aspect french doors offer an amazing view. The en-suite is roomy and modern. The double bedroom is a great size and very comfortable. There is another bedroom with bunk beds making it ideal for family holidays. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you needed. The overall holiday was amazing and I would definitely recommend Golygfa Ynys. Communication with Dan before and during the holiday was superb with him replying to any queries immediately. I will be booking again soon.

Thanks for the lovely feedback Lorna - it is very much appreciated. We're currently replacing the conservatory with a more substatial structure with bi-fold doors and the bedroom carpets are all being replaced. Hope that you make it back to Amlwch again soon. Property Owner

Lucky to have seen a common buzzard being chased away by the peregrine falcon at the bottom of the garden. We will definitely try to come back as soon as possible.

Lots of space to spread out and the bath was so relaxing at the end of each day. Views can’t be beaten and when the sun went in at night we enjoyed the lovely fire. We rarely return to any holiday let but we’d seriously consider it with this one. Communication with Dan was easy and responses were quick.

Thanks for your lovely review and we're glad you had such a good time on Anglesey. Welcome back any time! Property Owner

Lots of wildlife to see too, seals, porpoises and even the odd bottlenose dolphin. Great costal path walk at bottom of the garden. Sea fishing was excellent too. • "This cottage was absolutely fabulous."

The views from the conservatory and master bedroom were fantastic. The telescope in the conservatory enabled us to see not only all the wildlife but also all the ferries from Liverpool to Holyhead or Dublin. The facilities were great. The only thing that I couldn't have coped with was signing in to the TV but my son could so that was OK. There was a really good restaurant 5 mins away called the Trecastell in Bull Bay where we dined most nights and the food was really good. Went to the butterfly place near Menai Bridge which was really interesting and also Port Merian Italian Village which was gorgeous. I would recommend this cottage to anybody, it was well worth the money and we would certainly return.

  • "Check in was smooth."

Communication With both the owner and Skye cottages was prompt and helpful. The home is well furnished, very comfortable and spacious. The pictures don’t really do it justice. The conservatory was the best part - lovely view for miles around. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. It rained heavily much of the week we were there so we couldn’t go out walking as much as we would have liked - I guess we’ll have to come back after winter. Just one little note that the cooker extractor wasn’t working. It didn’t stop us cooking as we just opened the windows. Also, it would be helpful to leave the instruction manual for the washing machine in the house. Minor issues though. We are looking forward to coming again in summer when it’s warmer!

The property

In the north-eastern corner of Anglesey you can find the village of Amlwch, a historic fishing village home to Golygfa Ynys (Island View), a hidden gem in Anglesey's crown.

Suitable for a group of walkers or an active family because of the garden that backs onto the coastal path, you have walks beginning from your doorstep, so you can easily take advantage of this perfect location to explore this island on foot.

Entering the property through the front door brings you straight into the open-plan living space, beginning with the sitting room, featuring a leather sofa suite, you will definitely look forward to coming back to these sofas after a hard days walking, putting a favourite show or film on the TV.

Beyond this is the conservatory, which boasts magnificent views from the windows onto the luscious green back garden, and the blue sea for miles beyond, a lovely resting spot for you as you gaze out over a warm and calm evening.

A dining table sits in the conservatory in the winter, but can be moved outdoors in summer, so you can enjoy alfresco dining when the weather is nice, or dine indoors when there's a chill while still taking in the gorgeous natural backdrop as scenery.

Over in the kitchen area, you can expect to find a breakfast table and a good range of appliances, with the all-important washing machine in place so you don't have to pack your whole wardrobe.

Hosting three excellent bedrooms, the larger of the three is the king-size master bedroom, with a good deal of space and boasting two sets of double doors out to the patio and garden, with the same views of the sea as the conservatory, you can wake up to the ocean with your morning cup of tea in hand.

If you're staying in this room you also benefit from an en-suite bathroom containing a free-standing bath, basin and WC, while the other two rooms are serviced by a bathroom containing a bath with shower over, basin and WC, both sparkling white and with high quality fittings.

A double room and a bunk room mean this property can sleep up to six people along with the king-size, making it a great size for a larger family or a group of couples.

One of the first activities on your list has to be heading down to the end of the garden and hopping onto the coastal path, where you will not be short of gorgeous views with a clear day even bringing you a glimpse of the Isle of Man.

Walk westward to Cemaes where you can find some lovely sandy beaches to walk on, or stop and dip your toes in the sea before having a wander around the pretty village.

Bull Bay Golf Club lies within walking distance, so whether you've brought your clubs with you or you need to hire some, head over there for a play on the course on a summer’s day, before heading into Amlwch to decide where to dine for the evening.

Golygfa Ynys (Island View) will be an amazing place to stay thanks to its fantastic location right on the coast and its spacious and well-presented rooms.
