  • "We considered the property to be overpriced considering its location on a nondescript housing scheme."

The house was clean enough, but there is an insufficient amount of storage space for clothing. The garden is in a disgraceful state and the less said about the advertised and rusting BBQ the better. We would certainly not book this property again. Edwin

Thank you for the valued feedback. First time in 6yrs the property has been described as non descript housing scheme however Sykes details and images are representative. We have a built in wardrobe and free standing with dressing table however will review this point. The garden is maintained fortnightly by our contract gardener and looked great last weekend, apologies if this did not meet expectations and we will check regularly. The BBQ point is noted, this was picked up by ourselves the same weekend and was immediately replaced. With any such matters we are available to call at any time and reviewing prior and past feedback this is truly not representative. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful holiday staying in this cottage."

The views from the conservatory are amazing. We had contact with owners due to conservatory door, which I couldn’t opened. They replied straight away with advice and offered to come out but I sorted it with the advice given. We would love to book again maybe next year.

All three generations loved the property and Anglesey. The property itself is so spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Could sit for hours looking out at the wildlife and coast. It was the perfect location for discovering Anglesey. Did not want to leave and cannot wait to go back.

Stunning views, so much space, well thought out as to needs whilst away from home and if I really had to complain- the beds are very hard, but even that’s being picky! Thank you for the thoughtful welcome pack the children were over moon at Easter eggs! Wonderful stay with a group from 2-83 years young, none of which wanted to leave!

Rooms were spacious, comfortable & warm. The only, very minor criticism, is lack of drawers in the en-suite bedroom & lack of wardrobe in the double bedroom. The welcome basket was exceptionally generous.

The level of equipment supplied was excellent including 2 bathrooms & 4 TV's plus the usual Kitchen equipment.. The directions to get to the cottage were spot on and on arrival the welcome pack was excellent including treats for the dogs. The garden was also very secure and the dogs had no chance of escaping. All in all the cottage was fabulous in all respects. Well done to the owners and to Anthony who looks after the cottage.

Can’t praise the bungalow enough. The owner was most caring, considerate and helpful. The lovely Welcome Pack was really appreciated. The dogs really appreciated the toy, ball and treats. Decking rotten in places and the outside door/windows need some care as the hinges and latches are unclean and almost seized up. Could do with a vacuum cleaner to help whilst in the cottage.

  • "We booked a week at Llecyn Braf through Sykes cottages, who we have used many times before."

I cannot rate them highly enough. Llecyn Braf itself is a lovely bungalow with spectacular views over the sea. The bungalow was extremely comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed for a weeks break. We were lucky with the weather as well, which always helps. I would definitely recommend this bungalow for a nice, peaceful holiday. Thank you.

  • "We thought the location and space at the bungalow was great."

The beds and sofa were comfy and the facilities were as described. However, the furniture was a mismatch of cheap rubbish which was rather underwhelming and took away from the charm of the bungalow. The second bedroom lacked a wardrobe and a blind as the curtains were paper thin. The garden was anything but child/disabled friendly, it had a broken floor light, broken dog ornaments and the grass was too long. In the children’s room with the bunk bed there was a mass of wires on the floor which wasn’t safe for our 1 year old. The main reason this was only worth 2 stars is because of the lack of cleanliness. There was a strong dog smell in the lounge (I presume due to the shaggy rug) and white dog hairs everywhere, they ended up all over our clothes and even in our food. The cushion covers on the dining chairs were stained and in need of a good wash and there was plenty of dusty/cobwebbed corners.

The bungalow was equipped with lots of electrical equipment and had all the recycling bins etc, but NO instructions as to collection days and some of the electrical equipment did not appear to work . There were coastal walks very close to the bungalow, but again no instructions on how to get to them, but we did manage to find some lovely walks.

  • "Lovely bungalow in a quiet cul de sac, just minutes from the town centre with pubs & local shops."

Enclosed garden perfect for our dogs, good patio area with chimnea provided too (although weather wasn't quite warm enough to sit out). Well equipped and very clean on arrival - received a phone call en route to tell me it was all ready before the arranged time of 3pm which was great. Great views of the headland from the bungalow, and straight on to Anglesey coastal path within minutes, for walks galore. Really enjoyed our stay. Only negatives would be the king size bed not very comfortable, extra pillows would be useful, as would bedside cabinets in the king size room. Water pressure in the en-suite shower could be better, too There were also a few light bulbs out or missing here and there throughout the bungalow, but nothing spoilt our stay, and we'd definitely return.

  • "This is a very comfortable and spotlessly clean bungalow with lots of parking and a garden which is escape proof for an average sized dog."

The views out to sea are a real bonus and the area is extremely quiet with some easy walks nearby. There were only two ladies (and two dogs) in our party but we felt that if all 3 bedrooms were used the wardrobe space was very limited. There is nowhere to hang clothes in the second bedroom and so the children's bunk bedroom was used by us for this purpose. If this had been occupied, problems of access to clothes would have been created. We would also have welcomed some simple instructions about Hive controls and heated towel rails (we had to ring the owner) and about televisions. Not everyone has Sky and being of the older generation we were slightly out of our depth when trying to use two of the four TVs. There was also no information about what to do and see on Anglesey which was a shame for anyone not familiar with the island, as we were. These points are, however, minor grumbles and we had a very good holiday in a lovely part of the world and would certainly recommend Llecyn Braf.

There are many local walks dependant on your fitness levels so this makes a great base to start from. There are sea views from the cottage which is a great bonus, so take binoculars and watch the boats and ships pass. There were a couple of issues but these were dealt with by my contacting Sykes who contacted owner who promptly sent a maintenance man out. A new shower head was fitted at my request in the ensuite which did improve the situation slightly, but really it could do with a completely new shower...I found I was cold when showering as it is not powerful enough.

  • "This cottage was disappointing, we were unable to use the en suite shower due to the water only being a small trickle, we all used the main bathroom which defeated the object of choosing a cottage with 2 bathrooms."

This has been mentioned several times in the visitor book but doesn’t seem to have been acted on. There was not much information about the locality, unusual in our experience, and the cottage was looking tired and worn in some areas, I would recommend you take your own towels, those provided were small and thin, the tea towels didn’t dry well either. Sorry to make these complaints but this was not as good as we were expecting having read previous reviews. However the situation of the cottage is very good with terrific views and the conservatory was a lovely place to sit and relax. Anglesey was beautiful and the weather was very good, we enjoyed our holiday overall and would consider another visit, perhaps to a different part of the island, one day.
