Everything had been thought of and we all had a great time as a family from ages 7 to 70!

  • "My minor quibbles would be there was no dressing table in our blue bedroom to put things so we borrowed the table from the landing and could also have done something in the bathroom as there was little room for toothbrushes etc."

and no where to hang towels, this also applied to another bathroom and also downstairs bedroom could have done with a chest of drawers.

House was stunning, great location, the garden is a great sun trap and large enough for kids to run around. Had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend the property.

  • "This property is not accessible for someone with limited mobility at all!"

!!!! The downstairs bedroom and en-suite bathroom is very small in comparison to the large roomy upstairs bedrooms.

Thanks very much for your feedback, we appreciate it as are always trying to improve the experience for our guests. We have had a number of guests with limited mobility staying in the ground floor room who have been very happy with their stay. As mentioned when I spoke after you left, if we had known that your husband was in a wheelchair, we would have directed you to the back doors on arrival and put the ramp out for you for step-free access. The upstairs bedrooms are very large and the downstairs bedroom and wetroom are still a good size as per the photographs, as we discussed, we are also adding some handrails to improve the guest experience so thank you. • "This was such a beautiful house!"

! We all had a great time here. All of the rooms were so lovely, comfy and relaxing. We felt very welcome. The kitchen is fantastic for large groups, we sat round the large table for hours playing games and catching up. All the kitchen facilities were spot on with everything provided you would ever need. Bedrooms again, lovely and spacious. I know my bed was very comfy! The house definitely made our holiday! The only constructive feedback I would give, the hot tub we couldn’t use till the second day as it still wasn’t warm enough. It didn’t ruin our time but it would have been nice to have this useable on the first night. Thank you for providing such a lovely stay!

Thanks for your lovely feedback Kerry, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I'm sorry that the hot tub wasn't warm enough until the next morning, this is because we empty and refill it in between each stay and it takes about 10 hours to heat up all the water. We really hope you will come and stay with us again, maybe for longer so you can enjoy the hot tub all week! Property Owner

  • "The property was exactly as advertised."

Very roomy accommodation with excellent quality of towels, bedding etc. There was a problem with the fridge which we reported. The hot tub was fabulous and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The owner of the property was extremely helpful as my family organised various events for my 70th! I have no problem in recommending this property to others!

  • "Beautiful, well equipped, comfortable home and a lovely garden with plenty of different seating areas and perfect for kids and dog."

We had 4 generations staying and had everything we could possibly need. Only have one small suggestion, which is, the upstairs front bedroom would benefit from a mirror (for hair drying mainly) as the bathroom mirror is not usable for this purpose.

  • "A very clean and comfortable house for our family of 8 adults , teenager and 11 year old, plus Poppy the dog."

Thank you. Monarfon is a home from home with beautiful and interesting decor and furnishings. The 1930s style house has been tastefully modernised, keeping some of the historic features. The central heating was warm and cosy. There was plenty of hot water for bathing and showers. We enjoyed use of the hot tub, even in the chilly April weather. The owner and local representative were very helpful for our queries. We would definitely recommend staying here and would hopefully return ourselves.

  • "Absolutely beautiful family friendly home from home!"

The owner was so helpful! The thoughtful touches were everywhere in the house, and everyone had been thought of, from the adults and children, to the doggies as well! The weather wasn’t the best but that didn’t spoil our weekend at all, as the house was so cosy, and we played the games that were provided. We especially loved all the eco friendly thoughts, the beautiful hand wash etc, toiletries and cleaning products! It’s worth a trip to bull bay and the beautiful Trecastell Hotel over looking the bay! Food was beautiful, lovely staff and the views were amazing! We’d just missed seeing the dolphins unfortunately. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very comfortable, offering a home from home experience. The Garden and hot tub are a great feature to this property, which is very private and not overlooked at all. Great for adults and children to spend hours in. There isn’t a bbq but we ended up buying one, so no big deal. We found some gorgeous local beaches as mentioned in the information provided by the owner. The host was on hand for any issues and communicated brilliantly. A great area to visit, you won’t be disappointed and I would 100% recommend this property.

Boasting a breath-taking contemporary interior and perfectly positioned to explore the delights of North Wales, Monarfon is the ideal base for your next group getaway!

A paved pathway greets you at the foot of this remarkable dwelling, leading you through the beautifully-maintained front garden and up a small set of stone steps and into a charming hallway, providing a handy storage space to house your belongings away from the main living areas.

Follow the wooden parquet flooring through to the sitting room, tastefully decorated with two elegant velour sofas and flooded with natural light welcomed in through the period bay window, enticing you to put your feet up and enjoy a moment of peace in front of the television, warming the room with the glow of the rustic woodburning stove in the cooler evenings.

Be charmed by the spacious kitchen/diner, where the grand dining table takes centre stage in the sociable space; gather your loved ones together to recount the day's adventures, after making use of all of the modern amenities provided to ensure an enjoyable self-catering experience.

Stepping outside, end each day in style with a luxurious soak amongst the bubbles in the hot tub, perfectly positioned in the south-facing garden, providing a lovely spot to bask in the tranquil setting of the evening sun as the little ones keep themselves entertained with a movie marathon in the snug conservatory.

Completing the ground-floor is a delightful double bedroom benefiting from access to it's own stylish en-suite shower room, perfect for guests with limited mobility.

Climb the staircase to the first floor where you'll find four further bedrooms all with their only TV, there is a triple room, providing the perfect space for the kids to enjoy sleepovers together, alongside three additional kingsize bedrooms, each featuring a contemporary monochromatic colour scheme for a timeless elegance, two of which benefit from access to their own en-suite.

In the morning, kickstart your day with an invigorating rinse in the spacious walk-in shower in the gleaming family bathroom or add a touch of luxury to your stay and soak your muscles in the stylish roll-top bath resting atop the eye-catching Victorian tiles.

Get better acquainted with your surroundings and take the short stroll into the heart of Amlwch where you'll find a fantastic selection of eateries, serving a variety of delicious foods including home baked goods and traditional pub grub; head to the local butchers to pick up some fresh locally sourced produce to prepare in the comfort of your holiday home, or in true seaside tradition, indulge in a portion of fish and chips with a walk along the front.

There's plenty to keep you entertained, with the Copper Kingdom Centre, once the largest copper mine in the world, telling the fascinating tail of how the small fishing village became one of the most industrious towns in Wales; lace up your walking boots and follow the heritage trail across the lunar landscape of Mynydd Parys Mountain, with views into the remains of the heart of the Volcano.

Venture further afield and visit the popular tourist town of Menai Bridge, where you can marvel at the stunning architecture of the bridge as it towers over the Menai Strait aboard a super-fast RIB boat, or meet the quirky wildlife that call Pili Palas Nature World home, if you're lucky enough, you might even get to cuddle an adorable Kunekune pig.

Whether you're looking to unwind or experience adventure, choose Monarfon as a base that you'll be delighted to return to.
