    it may have been useful to include that there was a toilet in the back yard as this may be very handy for people not wanting to face the stairs. we took my mother in law who normally has a stair lift when at home so found the 'work out' of the stairs difficult and was very pleased to find the outside loo.

  • "The property was as we expected on the whole."

    To improve it though we feel that it needs a major makeover and a thorough modernising and cleaning. Each room seemed to be a mish-mash of furniture and soft furnishings that didn’t really create a well put together look. For eg-in the bathroom there were 3 different styles of bath mats. The carpet throughout had various stains on it-we felt that we couldn’t walk around bare foot! Curtains and blinds didn’t really fit properly or curtain rails were broken. Facilities in the kitchen were good although there was no measuring jug or ladle for our pancake breakfast!!! The kitchen door frame when the door was open was dirty. The back yard had lots of rubbish that hadn’t been sorted or collected for weeks. It was all ok but for a holiday property we would prefer a little more luxury. The beds were comfy and it is in a perfect location for the town. The bakery provided amazing smells and gorgeous bread for breakfasts.

    Thank you for your feedback and I’m sorry everything wasn’t to your satisfaction. Guest feedback is important to us so that we can act upon it. I am aware that there are some stains on the landing carpet, but I can assure you that the carpet was thoroughly cleaned before your stay and the stains were cosmetic only – I stayed in the property immediately after you. These stains were caused earlier in the season and as such, there has not been an empty period in which we could replace the carpet. We will do this in a quiet period. The curtains and blinds were made to measure, and every bedroom has blackout curtains. It is possible that a curtain may have come off a hook which could have caused a problem. The curtains and rails have now been checked and are all functioning properly. The bins were collected the day you checked out – you kindly put them out for collection as I requested. The missing measuring jug and ladle have been replaced. The inside of the door frame when the door is open has been cleaned. It’s disappointing that you didn’t contact me when you found these issues as I could have rectified some of them immediately.   • "Arosfa is a nice property for a family with children."

    Unfortunately the decor is getting a little tired and some renovation is required. There are a few obvious irritants, not really sufficient mugs, far too much cutlery, old microwave and the freezer desperately needs defrosting. The house guidance notes need to be updated, the recycling and refuse details are out of date and not clear.

About the location


Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
