  • "Lovely house with 3 bedrooms."

Main bedroom so comfortable and 2 armchairs for watching late night or early morning Tv. Well equipped kitchen and nice little courtyard garden with plenty of garden furniture. Only downside was that just the one toilet which was up stairs and they were rather steep! Didn't spoil break though and was mentioned in details. Cottage was well located in Beaumaris pubs and restaurants at bottom of hill. Indian restaurant Sarisa was particularly good. Not much parking around the cottage but again this was mentioned in details and the green is only a 10 minute walk away and £6 for 24 hours.

  • "Superb property and location - we had a brilliant time (two mid 50s and three in their 20s)!"

A well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge & bedrooms, and a sunny courtyard with BBQ - everything we needed was at the property, although just the one toilet for a party of 5 was a bit of a pain at times. Note that the stairs are very steep and might be a problem for someone with poor mobility or balance. The property was just a few minutes walk away from the shops, bars and restaurants. Parking: We couldn't find anywhere to park near the property on the first evening so paid £3 to park overnight at the main carpark on the green (6 minute walk). We then went back to the carpark first thing the next day and paid for a weekly parking pass which cost us £35 plus £10 deposit, which gave us a a barrier pass so we could enter at any time of the evening. We picked Beaumaris because it's handy for beaches in Anglesey and also for Snowdonia. We had brilliant time at the following places: Aber Falls; Moelfre Beach; Trearddur Bay; Crabbing on Beaumaris Pier; Red Wharf Bay; Coastal path walk, starting at Bull Bay; Cemaes Bay; Penmon; Cwym Idwal. Food out was brilliant, notably: Liverpool Arms; Sarissa (Indian, 1 minute walk from the cottage); Pizza at Penmon; Conwy Dutch Pancake House; Neptune fish & chips.

  • "We visited Beaumaris recently to see family who live in the town."

We chose Cobblers Cottage as a base due to its proximity to them. Having spent many of my childhood summers in Beaumaris with my grandparents it was lovely to be back. What a beautiful home Cobblers Cottage is. It’s clear to see the owners have spent a lot of time and effort making the cottage a home away from home. It’s simply gorgeous. The master suite is beautiful. The house has excellent facilities ranging from washing machine, ample supply of crockery and kitchen utensils and even an TV in the bathroom! It’s in a perfect location for all that Beaumaris (& Anglesey) has to offer. Immaculately clean and tidy. Perfect for children- stair gate, cot and high chair provided. Small secure court yard, we didn’t use it as the weather wasn’t on our side but it’s clear to see in the summer months this would be a lovely little sun trap with BBQ and garden seating. Only downside is limited parking which we were already aware of- this didn’t affect us however as we parked at a family members home near by. To get around this there is on street parking available outside the cottage on a first come first served basis or a public car park on the sea front a short walk away (a small fee applies). Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to return in the future.

  • "We had a lovely week in this cottage as a family of four."

The cottage was a great base for exploring Anglesey and beyond and we will definitely stay again. It's a great location and we could walk down to the shops, cafe and pier etc. The cottage is a really nice place to go back to each evening with comfy beds. It was lovely and warm despite the bitter cold outside. The kitchen is well equipped and we found everything we needed. There is also a Waitrose 10 minutes drive away and they will deliver to the cottage which was handy. Parking was a bit tricky, but that's to be expected in a busy little place like Beaumaris and it is mentioned in the listing so we were expecting this, and we usually found a space within 5 minutes walk. Just a few things that would make this cottage even lovelier.... • A shower caddy - there's nowhere to put your shower gel etc. • Fresher towels - some of the towels had a slight odour as if they had maybe been stored somewhere for a little while. • The blind cords need to be attached to the walls in all rooms as this is quite a risk when staying with young children. • The "Private" cupboard in the second bedroom needs to be locked because it had bleach and cleaning materials inside and our son opened this cupboard whilst he was staying in this room. • The mattress protectors could do with a wash. We stripped the beds at the end of our stay as requested in the book and noticed they were a little stained. • The bath needs a proper plug because the silicone cover provided doesn't hold and the bath drains quickly whilst you're in it. Overall, a great place to stay and with a few tweaks it would be even better.

  • "Cobblers cottage is beautiful."

A real home from home. It became a little haven for me as I was sadly up in Anglesey for the final 2 weeks of my Dads life. I can’t thank you enough for enabling me to extend my booking. My sister and I found the cottage to be such a restful place to return to each day. The facilities , attention to detail and location were perfect It will always hold a place in our hearts as the holiday house that gave us a cwtch during a very very difficult time. Xxx

  • "The property is absolutely lovely and pristine."

It’s a 3 bed property with a really really high standard finish, the appliances and interiors are fantastic and really helped us settle in quickly and feel more at home. Parking can be a bit of an issue as it’s on road parking and first come first served basis but there’s plenty of side streets to park on if you don’t mind your car being a little bit away (which is what we did). It’s also one of the nicest presented houses on that part of the road which definitely cemented for us that we’d made the right choice.

We are absolutely delighted to receive your feedback on Cobblers Cottage and would like to take the time to thank you for leaving such lovely comments. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and glad the interiors helped you feel at home. As we stay there ourselves, we always try our best to think of everything guest could need to make their stay more comfortable. We hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "Love the house - spacious, homely, well equipped."

Kitchen, bedrooms, garden & bathroom lovely & location brilliant. Plenty of storage. Presentation mostly great. Main areas nice and clean, could do with a spring clean of other areas - into corners, behind beds & bedside cabinets etc - dusty, some dirt & cobwebs. Trundle bed had broken base so we just pulled mattress out onto floor. Spare duvet in ottoman soiled & no duvet cover/pillow cases for trundle - reported Sat morning, were told someone would drop bedding off. Nothing. Followed up Sun & Mon, eventually told to open "private" cupboard & take bedding. My son had 3 nights on mattress covered with a towel, our pillows and a fleece from our bed! Washer is listed in details as washer-drier, so maybe this needs changing - it caught us out. All this being said, we had a great holiday as my son was graduating from Bangor Uni & we took my parents ( in 80s) - good location for 3 generations! Thanks, The Smiths. Your response would be appreciated.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay. I can only apologise for ay issues you encountered during your time in our cottage. I checked your booking and from the guest information you provided, can confirm that the property was only booked for 5 adults, which is why the trundle bed had not been made up for your arrival. I will arrange for the duvet to be replaced and will ensure that a spare set of bed linen is left with it. This was an oversight on our part. I can confirm that we had not been made aware by any previous guests that the trundle bed base was broken and will arrange for this issue to be fixed. I have asked that the description of the washer be updated to remove dryer. I hope that my response is acceptable to you and hope to welcome you back to our cottage in the near future. Best wishes. About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia).
