Fantastic sea views towards Beaumaris and across to Snowdonia. Would highly recommend.

  • "Loved this cottage and it’s views so much I tried to book another visit sadly it’s completely booked up!"

The only thing that lets this cottage down is that the garden is a mess, it’s full of weeds and untended, when you arrive the first thing you see is dead weeds all over the front of the cottage. It’s got the most stunning views but no chairs to sit outside and enjoy it. The cottage deserves better care, it’s beautiful location and it’s charm made us want to return. But the neglect on the outside made me feel quite sad.

This cottage is amazing with stunning views and extremely comfortable throughout. We had an excellent week despite the weather and would certainly return in the very near future. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

  • "This was an alternative booking to our usual holiday accommodation in Beaumaris, booked at short notice."

All due to the current covid - 19 situation. All was as anticipated and we will consider this or a similar property in the future when we hope to make further bookings in this area.

  • "We had a lovely short break in this beautiful cottage."

It has fabulous views, plenty of room and is very well equipped. We also needed to talk to staff at Menai Holidays before and during our stay and they were utterly fantastic. I can’t recommend them highly enough. I visit Anglesey regularly and will definitely be using Menai Holidays again.

Immaculately clean, spacious and well equipped. We had a lovely break here, no complaints at all. Thoroughly recommend, we will be back.

  • "We loved the cottage, the views and Beaumaris but there were a few niggles."

The first bag of logs and kindling were supposed to be included as outlined in the cottage’s pack, they weren't and we had to buy some as it was chilly late in the evening We’d have liked a bbq Batteries in the tv remote were dead and there were no spares so we’d to buy some I didn’t appreciate having to remove the previous occupants’ dog hairs from the vacuum by hand before I could use it The mop and bucket in the cupboard next to the sofa smelled so bad that I’d to leave it outside Think the kitchen sink needs drain cleaner down it too.

  • "A lovely cottage with amazing views from the bedrooms and bathroom."

Our dog loved the garden but was easily able to escape and explore further afield! It would have been nice to sit outside but unfortunately the garden furniture was in a state of disrepair and needs replacing. Location was good as a a short walk brought you into the centre of Beaumaris. All in all a great week.

Thank you for your feedback and so pleased you enjoyed your holiday. As the season draws to a close we will be checking all items for repair or replacement. Property Owner

The photographs don't do the views justice. Good sized garden for 6 yr old to run about. Quirky unusual cottage features. All in all a great location and week spent on the Isle.

  • "Gorgeous cottage in superb location, walking distance to the centre of town, although situated on a steep hill which certainly sorts out the fittest."

Dogs loved it, 50 yards up the road is an old road/railway line ideal for walking dogs along, as well as all of Anglesey’s gorgeous beaches. Well equipped, very spacious cottage, ideally suited for all our needs. Would definitely use again.

  • "The cottage facilities were excellent and it is within easy walking distance of Beaumaris."

However, it is situated at the top of a very steep hill which is quite taxing if on foot. As it is an old cottage with thick walls and small windows, the lounge is quite dark, although there is plenty of light in the extension where the downstairs bedroom, shower and kitchen are situated. We did not use the upstairs bedroom or bathroom - they have marvellous views but very limited headroom.

  • "Quirky cottage as described in details ."

Great location for walking into Beaumaris . Kitchen had everything we needed . Bedroom lovely views from every window and very comfortable bed. Garden lovely but not secure enough for our two dogs may be fine for others.? Our only issue was the sitting room. We felt it needed some attention ie painting and new windows. Also the seating was extremely uncomfortable especially the armchairs. We would definitely return to this cottage but only if the seating was improved as this did affect our enjoyment during our stay.

The cottage exceeded our expectations as it was really well stocked and had a number of added extras for children which was fantastic, it even had a potty! Our experience with Menai Holidays was very good and the whole process was smooth and straight forward. We would definitely use you again and would recommend you to friends and family.

Its a beautiful quirky cottage which we have come to love over the years. The views are spectacular, its peaceful, and I love to feed the birds and watch the red squirrels, pheasants and listen to the woodpecker. The accommodation is comfortable, the kitchen is to die for and so are the views. I love wallowing in the bath and looking out over the strait towards Snowdon. It will always be a special place in my heart.

The location is perfect for walking into Beaumaris and well located to drive to a number of lovely beaches. We were a family of four, with two children under 10 and two dogs and the cottage met our needs beautifully.

  • "Nice location, downstairs nice layout, however online details should have mentioned restricted headroom in upstairs bedroom and very restricted headroom in upstairs bathroom, would not have booked cottage if I had known about the fact that had to bend double to get into upstairs bathroom (and I'm not tall) upstairs not really suitable for adults."

  • "Cottage lovely and quirky."

Well equipped with stunning views (especially from the bath!). Deducted one star because of slippery stairs (do not attempt to descend wearing socks) - they are painted with gloss paint and some treads slightly sloping - they really should be covered by a non slip surface. Other than that - excellent

  • "Generally very comfortable and well equipped."

Some of crockery past its best. Television subject to interference on occasion (perhaps due to very hot weather). At beginning of our stay central heating came on during the night and cottage became excessively hot; we had to switch off, not the easiest controls to operate.

  • "Wonderful! Just our style of cottage, with lots of character and nooks and crannies."

Very warm and comfortable, especially with the wood burning stove, and wonderful views over Beaumaris and the Menai Strait. We think there could be a safety issue with the stairs up to the first floor as they were immaculately clean and gloss painted, but slightly slippery. We think that if there could be strips of carpet attached to each of the stair treads, this would then make them easier to use.

  • "Great location but a few niggly items need correcting - bed head needs connecting to bed to stop it banging every time you move, ceiling in bedroom needs painting, poor pillows, uncomfortable sofa."

About the location

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
