  • "This is a garage that has been converted ."

. the picture are very deceiving & have been take at certain angles it’s sits behind other properties basically in their backyard .. neighbours are rude & made it very clear they are upset it is a holiday let! .. we were accused of leaving the dog in the property which did not happen .. dog was only there 2 nights & was with us at all times .. as fir the outside space it is over grown & nit very pleasant this along with the neighbours made you not want to sit there .. the “cottage” was dirty ended up cleaning myself upstairs is cramp & not fit for purpose in the smaller bedroom you have to open doors to get in shower .. I was told by yourselves there was bats at the property but not to worry as detail would be at property .. nothing! .. we actually left early (Wednesday) to stay in another accommodation so we could enjoy the rest of our holiday

  • "The cottage was in a great location however, it was difficult to find."

There are no blinds on any of the velux windows, which I would have assumed is a basic facility. The rooms therefore get very hot and obviously very bright making it difficult to sleep. There are two shower rooms/ toilets and only one roll of toilet roll provided. The cottage was very basic and not particularly clean. The bathrooms were clean and the bedding/ towels were clean but the cottage It is in desperate need of a lick of paint as felt quite grubby. The toaster didn’t work. We enjoyed our stay and the garden area was nice however, we would have expected a bit more for the price we paid.

  • "We have stayed in a number of your properties but this was a bad experience… Fridge shelving in doors broken Mouse droppings still evident in boiler cupboard No freezer but plenty of space to fit a small one Very poor kitchen equipment (no colander, no mixing bowls, no jugs) Oven dirty However the main issue was lack of sleep, both bedrooms have 4 velux windows but none have any blinds fitted so we were woken by full daylight flooding in at 4:30 am."

We resorted to using the garden cushions to stuff in the window space to block out the light. The property is hard to find with no real instructions given, all you have to say is “the property is up a gravel path opposite Steeple Cottage” and all would be so much better. There were no instructions for appliances or how to use the heating etc or any real welcome pack. We were disappointed with

  • "Studio Bach is a really lovely quirky cottage."

It’s well furnished and was very clean throughout. The heating system is great and very easy to use and we needed it because we didn’t have great weather for a couple of days. There is sky tv and Netflix which we put to use by having an an indoor picnic and Netflix afternoon when the rain poured! On one sunny day we were able to get the cushions out on the garden furniture and sit out with a glass of wine, it’s a really lovely sun trap. The one thing I would say is that there should be a better explanation of how to find the cottage. It’s hidden behind other cottages at the top of the street and accessed by a wide gravel path. There is no parking but we were always able to find a spot on the road not too far away. If I were to go back to Beaumaris I’d definitely stay in this lovely cottage again.

  • "Studio bach Was so happy to finally get away during these trying times."

.however on first entering studio bach through the kitchen it was clear to me that this property has NOT been cleaned and sterilised properly ( thankfully id brought my detol and bleach spray ) on further inspection I thought things were looking up as the bedrooms had lovely white fresh bedding and looked much cleaner than downstairs... until I looked in the cupboards ( as you do mooching about ) and in the boiler cupboard in the larger bedroom I discovered alot of mouse droppings ( horrified ) called the agency and the problem was dealt with the next day ( cleaner came and hoovered them up ) I was tempted to give up and go home but this break was much needed so decided to make the best of it and had a lovely break. This studio has great potential it just needs a few tweaks. ( id start with some fresh paint and new downstairs furnishings the curtains and couch needed a good clean or replacing and the kitchen sink area definitely needs a rethink ( no amount of bleach or detol will clean the wooden draining area which is next to useless NO ICE BOX OR FREEZER . A hoover /mop and bucket toilet brush and a few cleaning products would be a bonus during the current situation ( covid) so the guests could keep the place clean during their stay ( i know you don't go away to clean but I always do . ) also extra towels if your there for a week two bath towels and two hand towels is not enough also tea towels one is not really sufficient. ( again I took some of these extra of my own but not sure everybody would think to ) but I will say the beds were indeed comfortable and the linen clean as were the towels. The coffee machine and tv was a bonus as was the log burner for a nice cozy evening after a long days walking on the amazing surrounding beaches .

  • "Studio Bach took some finding, so you need to thoroughly explain exactly where the cottage is."

The bedrooms & en-suites are excellent. The lounge good & the kitchen acceptable. In all honesty 2 nights was long enough. Beaumaris is lovely & Studio Bach is in a good position for Beaumaris. Water leak from the shower needs to be sorted out. The water ended up on the floor in front of the cooker.

  • "We had a comfortable stay lovely rustic cottage clean and tidy all amenities close by ."

We left a day early unfortunately due to bad weather the whole time and not very dog friendly in cafes pubs shops. All restaurants fully booked due to eat out to help out so we didn’t experience the place as we should have very disappointed in this. But we loved our stay in Studio Bach

  • "We have already lodged our concerns but despite a number of emails you have as yet failed to respond and we will be making a full complaint."

The listing was not accurate in terms of the fridge and the standard of some of the equipment was poor. Turning up to a £740 cottage to find it dirty and with dirty curtains with holes in, stained chair which just had a throw over it and a hole in the floor in the kitchen was not at all what we would have expected. The cleanliness was poor - toaster was disgusting as was the fan in one of the shower rooms and we had to wash every plate and cup because we were so concerned about hygiene. We will be listing a review with photos on tripadvisor!

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
