We loved it and will definitely be back. Reviewed by AlisonJul 2019 "Beautiful cottage, comfortable beds." Everything you could wish for. Walk across the road with your coffee and enjoy the wonderful view. There is no outside space, so be aware of that, it was not a concern to us. The stairs need care, so young ones and anyone who has difficulties needs to be careful. A stair gate might be a good idea. We would definitely return. This is the first time we have used Sykes and would highly recommend them, the Staff were most helpful. Reviewed by PMay 2019 "The cottage is in an amazing location." The cottage had everything that you need (including WiFi for our teenage son) and I have never seen so many kitchen utensils before. A Christmas card from the owner and box of biscuits was a lovely welcome when we arrived. The only downfall that there was no parking available. We had to park a couple of streets away. Will be back very soon Reviewed by JulieDec 2018 "Great place to stay." Comfortable and cosy. Very near to local shops, pubs and restaurants. Only slight issues are that there is no outside space and no car park space. Reviewed by DaveNov 2018 "We had a wonderful time - superb spacious yet cosy cottage with all necessary equipment needed for our stay." Warm and clean great location and didn’t want to go home! Thank you we will be back Reviewed by FranOct 2018 "Whilst the owner had acted on some of the suggestions left by previous holiday makers, there were some improvements that could made to the comfort and level of cleanliness." The person we had to communicate with was not very helpful. Thank you for your feedback, I am always looking to make improvements where needed and appreciate your comments. I understand you did not find it comfortable, however I have always had very positive reviews and this is not something that reflects consistency with other guests comments. The cleanliness I have discussed with the housekeeper to ensure that our high level of cleanliness is maintained. Thank you again for your feedback Property Owner Reviewed by PatriciaOct 2018 "Lovely comfortable cottage." Great beds and decor. What's missing are the small touches that I have had elsewhere. A small welcome basket or some milk in the fridge. Kitchen towel and toilet roll. A guest book with information on Anglesey would have been nice. It's in a perfect location and is absolutely lovely and clean Bathroom could do with a little attention I would not stay here again but the only reason is the lack of outside space. Reviewed by CatherineSep 2018 "The only area for development would be the curtains in the master bedroom." You need to replace them and install blackout curtains as the current set are too thin. This is especially important as there is a street light on the outside wall of this room and another one opposite. Sleeping in such bright light was difficult. Reviewed by SamAug 2018 "The cottage is in a central location and has all the amenities that you need." Parking is a bit of an issue but we managed to find the odd space on the roads close by. I would recommend that you take items such as kitchen roll, toilet roll etc as these aren’t provided or at least, not as much as you need for a stay. WiFi is available in the cottage though and board games for the family to enjoy. Overall it was a good experience and nice place to stay. It is in a perfect location, just seconds walk from the beach and minutes walk from coffee shops and pubs. The house itself is beautifully done and has everything you could need. Lots of love, care and attention has clearly gone into making it so. We loved our stay over New Year and hope to return at some point in the summer months. Reviewed by MichelleDec 2017 "Great location for Beaumaris holiday and great base to explore the island of Anglesey." Would definitely consider staying here if we visited north Wales on holiday again Reviewed by JohnAug 2017 "The owner of the cottage has a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy." She has made it absolutely warm and welcoming and covered everything that you need while staying away from home. I thank her very much for allowing myself my daughter and her 8month old son and also my dog, to stay there and discover more of the area. It's very close to the foreshore and Beaumaris shops and restaurants etc. Reviewed by SusanOct 2016 "I think the photos on the Internet don't do the property justice." It is much larger than it appears on screen and from what you would expect looking at the outside of it, and the standard of furnishing was high. Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
