The view from property instantly blew us all away we loved spending time looking out the window with a beverage. The decor / style of the apartment is beautiful and comfy beds. All facilities you could need. We also enjoyed the big bath tub so relaxing. Would definitely stay again thanks so much

  • "Lovely area, great location, house appears great on arrival but there are lots of things that need to be addressed that quite a lot of other visitors have mentioned for a while."

We also had the problem of no washer as it hadn’t been reported before our stay so that caused a big problem for us (hopefully now fixed) but with 4 kids we really needed it. Staying over half term was obviously expensive and these niggles need to be sorted for the prices being charged. It all just takes the shine off a rare break as it’s sorting problems whilst you’re there.

  • "Very comfortable and clean but lots of ongoing problems that have been in existence since 2017@ door handles drop off, no locks on bathroom doors, TV reception really bad we watched other than bbc1 via our smart phone."

Front door in darkness to try and put the key in..sensor light doesnt work. Microwave in a cupboard so to use it you have to lift it out...not a good idea Windows dirty from seagulls... front outside area, dead plants badly painted door.. outside appearance is poor Could be lovely if long standing problems were addressed. The information re car parking is vague...it makes for stress on arrival. Eventually got it sorted. £6 for 24hrs..attendant only there 9 to 5pm. Otherwise coins only! And who cares cash these days? The owners need to sort out problems and am sure then we would be back!

  • "There were several rugs which were a trip hazard - too slippy on the wood floors."

The bedside lights in the main bedroom couldn't be switched off without getting out of bed. Maybe provide a few measuring jugs, mixing bowls, large bowls.Only one hand towel provided. A starter pack for one fire would be much appreciated. No locks on bathroom doors.

  • "Holiday arrangements and check in were very good, the accommodation was as advertised, the furnishings, kitchen utensils all good."

Problems using the grill as the smoke alarm is very sensitive, would have thought this should have been a heat detector rather than smoke detector. No locks on bathroom / toilet doors, 1st floor shower would not regulate and was too hot, 2nd floor shower difficult to get correct temperature. It was noticed that during a period of heavy rain and high wind, the front windows of the building allowed water ingress and had to be mopped up. However we had a good holiday and the location is superb.

Our lovely neighbours recommended Tri Raglan Mawr and I can honestly say it has been one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had. Great location, great views, facilities and definitely felt accommodated for. We will definitely be returning again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Our only issue would be the bathroom door had no catch on it and a couple of bedroom doors wouldn't close properly.

  • "Lovely apartment in a great location."

Bath was great, and the views were to die for. However, a few things need sorting out to improve guests’ stay, and judging by the guest book comments, these things haven’t been addressed for a while. The handle on the main bedroom door falls off, which was a pain given we have a baby and sometimes woke her up when we forgot it was broken and tried to use it to leave the room! There’s no lid on the main kitchen bin which is unhygienic, so we ended up buying a small bin (!) to keep food bits in. The lights in the kitchen are dodgy (new switch needed) and the lights in the wreath in the sitting room don’t work (needs new batteries). There was no cafetière which seems odd for a holiday let in our opinion, so we bought one and gifted it to the apartment. We would love to book again, but would want confirmation that these issues have been addressed. Bit more attention to detail needed, basically,

  • "The apartment was beautiful with stunning views and the facilities were outstanding, all with the exception of the TV (Now TV system) which none of us were able to get working at all."

Our elderly mother stayed in one day intending to be kept company by the TV but was unable to get anything to connect. The TV light on the router was not illuminated so I can only assume it had something to do with that, however as there were no instructions to be found we had no success at all. One other minor issue was the odd placement of bedside lamps in one of the bedrooms which had no electricity sockets near them. However the rest of the apartment was absolutely wonderful and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Also Beaumaris is a stunning picture postcard town that I would definitely return to in the future.

  • "Tri Raglan Mawr is a wonderful 2 story apartment in a beautiful elegant townhouse by the sea."

We (my parents and I) had a lovely stay there and it had everything we could've needed. The sea views from the living area are just fabulous. The lovely owners have taken great care and attention when decorating the property and it does not disappoint! The beds are very comfortable with the main king bedroom very spacious. The large bath was also welcomed after a long days work! Everything you could want is right on the doorstep of this beautiful property. We would highly recommend Tri Raglan Mawr and hope that we can stay here again sometime.

  • "Apartment is lovely very comfortable."

Lovely kitchen which is really well stocked of lovely crockery, utensils etc.. However you can not have 10+ people staying across two apartments and only provide 1 black bin. When we arrived both bottle bins and black bins where full to the top and this got worse as the week went on. We had wasps flying around the bins and the seagulls got into the rubbish spreading food all over the front path which I had to then go and clean away! I reported it to the house keeping yet nothing was done. Please provide more outside rubbish storage with lids on as it was also very windy. We had to leave the rubbish knowing that there was broken glass bottles clearly visible so I really hope no one gets hurt or stung !! 3 weekly rubbish collection is not good enough and should be an environmental health matter!! Also please make sure the cleaners check every room to clean and behind the doors of each room as I know that the towels and bath mat that they think I have brought home with me are in those places.

The dining table and chairs seat eight.

The sitting room has lovely seating areas with window seats in the gorgeous bay windows with views of the Strait.

There are comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove and a SMART TV. The washing machine is housed in the boiler room. There are four bedrooms.

The first is a double with king size bed, a decorative fireplace and window seat.

The second double has a king size bed and window seat, and the third double a double size bed and window seat.

The forth room is a twin bedroom with two single beds, decorative fireplace and window seat. On the first floor there is a bathroom with shower, double ended bath, wash hand basin and a separate loo.

You will also find coffee shops, ice cream parlours, individual shops and galleries, the historic moated castle, gaol and courthouse in town.

There is a selection of bars, pubs and restaurants nearby.

We can recommend the local bakery for a fine loaf of bread, and delicious pies, pasties and cakes. Tri Raglan Mawr is on the first and second floor.

Tri Raglan Bach, on the ground floor, sleeps 3 + 1, is a great addition if your party is more than 8 or for those who are not keen on stairs.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
