  • "Lovely property - a few issues with hot water which were sorted quickly."

    The chapel is beautiful, the roof rooms do get very hot. Great for my 50th birthday celebrations, plenty of room to lounge and a great kitchen dining space. Lovely cakes and local produce on arrival a very nice touch. Such a good thing to have parking outside.

  • "This amazing ,spacious property was perfect in every way."

    The kitchen/dining area was huge and it was the most used room of the house. We cooked, chilled, danced and generally had a lovely time and didn’t need to use the massive living room. It is perfectly situated in the busy town and just a stones throw to the main street. We had the perfect week to explore Anglesey, and can’t wait to return.

    Loads of room for 4 of us, beds and sofas are so comfy. Had everything we needed and is just a short walk from the sea, attractions, shops and pubs and restaurants.

  • "A fabulous place to stay."

    Perfect position in the town centre close to all amenities. Would like to have had instructions for the car charger up front as that is primarily why we chose the property and assumed it was broken. It took a text to the contact to realise there was a switch in a locked cupboard that needed to be on before charging. A simple instruction in the property would have prevented several trips to Bangor to during our stay to charge.

    Thank you for your feedback. Guests are asked prior to their visit if they need the complimentary charger and we were able to resolve the issue within an hour of the call to our housekeeper. Property Owner

    The property has a modern feel, the kitchen has every utensil you could need. A fabulous location in the centre of Beaumaris, close to all shops and restaurants. A great place to base yourself for some spectacular coastal walks on Anglesey.

    Airy and spacious, romantic. House exciting to discover and explore. Watch out for the bear! No mention in Sykes' description of poor mobile phone signal, or care needed to negotiate stairs and dining area platform (could be a problem for those with poor mobility, but fortunately not for us!).

Ty Biwmares forms the predominant part of Capel Seion, a 19th century Italianate-style chapel structure by architect Evan Thomas, which has been listed for its special architectural interest, so you can be sure that this property holds unique charm and plenty of character.

About the location


Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
