  • "Cosy comfortable and picturesque cottage in the middle of Beaumaris."

  • "Already written in owners' visitors' book."

Extra good things I can say: a bijou, lovely cottage ideally situated for everything in Beaumaris, but in a quiet corner. The loudest sounds were of the seagulls- wonderful. The bedroom is big, bright and beautiful. Importantly, the cottage faces the right way, with the afternoon sun in the private, attractive little garden at the back. There was no available freezer- my only concern, but not important for a 3 day stay, which mine was.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and for booking Ty Hydref! We do plan to have the old freezer removed shortly (which is in the shed) and perhaps a small bench top one put in its place as we agree with your comments :-) Julie and Rob Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful cottage in a wonderful location."

To say it was small, there was virtually everything there you would need for a long stay holiday. You only needed to take 15 steps are you are looking out to the water... just stunning The only thing missing was a hairdryer, but when the weather is good, you're in an idyllic location then this is purely minor hiccup. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your lovely feedback :-) We hope to welcome you back to Ty Hydref in the future and you may find a new hairdryer in the bedroom this time following your kind suggestion :-)) Julie and Rob Property Owner

  • "Lovely little cottage in a great location."

Had everything we needed for a weeks stay. I understand from the owners that the garden is a work in progress and I’m sure with some tlc it will look very nice. It’s not a criticism as it’s been a tough year to work on anything. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we slept very well. Would definitely return to this cottage without hesitation.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
