  • "Bryn Ffynnon is a delightful cottage cosy & with everything you need for a relaxing holiday."

All of the equipment & appliances are good quality in fact one of the best of the many cottages I have holidayed in around the UK. Anglesey is beautiful & I even managed to spot some red squirrels. It was my first visit to this lovely island but I hope to be back next summer with my daughter & grandson. You do need to amend your directions though as there is no longer a sign for Tree Tops.

  • "People used to the position will not be troubled but as new renters here we found the travel guidance instructions very out of date."

There is a sign, on the RH side of a left turn, well before the Tesco, for B5108 (shown as B5018 in 1st instance of directions), which has been presumably used to divert traffic from the busiest part of the village. While I was slowly looking for the various landmarks and having traffic closely on my tail I didn't have time to check for the Tesco before picking up that we needed that road. Unfortunately, it comes out some way above the school and fire station and to cap that, when we realised that we only needed to look for Treetops and Lon Bwlch, we discovered Treetops was now closed and renamed Twyni Sandbanks (shown facing the western approach) and there was no Lon Bwlch lane sign. The only pointer was when we noticed a board behind a high hedge in an adjacent field marked in white on black as Bwlch. We thought we needed to try it, though Bwlch can be quite a common name in Wales. So we wasted about half an hour going up and down the road discovering Tesco, chip shop, school and fire station and all points 2 miles west of Benllech! Once we had found the bungalow we were very happy. It had everything we needed including all those low-use basic items and spare towels that are a nuisance to have to have to buy or bring with us. This equipment level should be mandatory across all rentals. Whether by accident of overhanging trees or design, the temperature inside the bungalow was considerably cooler than outside so even after the warm days such as we had in early Sept 2023 you will need a jumper - though surely no one would holiday in the UK without one. However, the road-overlooking patio was an excellent afternoon sun trap. We spent the week cycling and kept the bikes in the garage (not sure about the shed for bikes as all outbuildings seemed to be pretty full and small), so it would have been nice to have a key for the garage but we were equipped with locks and don't appear to have had any trouble.

Washing machine had a drier, which was very helpful given the weather. Lovely quiet rural area, we even saw a red squirrel on the provided bird feeder. The induction hob was great! I really want one. The main sofa could have been a bit more comfortable, but was generally ok. Phone signal was very poor, but using the wifi, I could use wifi calling work with no problem.

  • "A very well presented and excellent cottage ."

Fully equipped with everything you need. The bed is very comfortable and linen beautiful and crisp. The kitchen has great facilities and enjoyed sitting in there watching the red squirrels and numerous birds on the feeder . Outstanding location and very peaceful, yet a short walking distance to Benllech shops and beach . One small issue was no Internet connection and our phones did not get a signal ,the Bt hub broke and we had difficulty getting it to work . Greg worked hard to resolve the problem for us but it did persist despite Bt being contacted by owners, not their fault at all but it did make things hard to find areas to visit and get post codes for directions. Hopefully it's been rectified for next visitor's. It didn't ruin the holiday just a wee bit annoying for planning . Would definitely return to this brilliant ,spotless property . First class . Oh and we had a super welcome b pack and fresh milk, so much appreciated . Thankyou

  • "Comfy cottage."

Nice beds. Well equipped. We had a problem with the shower which I reported to the owner. Other than that everything was very good. The only drawback to the property is the limited parking space, especially being on a sharp bend in the road. My car was sticking out a bit and too wide to put in the garage. But overall we enjoyed our stay at Bryn Ffynnon very much.

  • "I can't explain how much we enjoyed our visit at Bryn Ffynnon!"

The cottage was so cosy, especially in the evenings with the curtains closed and the fire on in the lounge! The little goodies on the dining table were very thoughtful and such a lovely little touch. The bed was incredibly comfy and we had the best night's sleep. On arrival, we walked down to Benllech Beach (only a 25 minute walk! And a nice stroll with lovely views), we walked up to The Benllech pub and were lucky to be seated outside for a late lunch, can highly recommend! Also during our stay, we visited Lligwy Beach, Moelfre, Red Wharf Bay and Llandwyn Beach & Lighthouse. We hit on with the weather which made the trip even more special! We also ate at The Ship Inn, Red Wharf Bay and The Kinmel Arms, Moelfre. On departure, we got bacon sandwiches from Bradleys Coffee Shop in Benllech and they were incredible! Bryn Ffynnon is located in an ideal place to explore Anglesey and the coast, there are plenty of places to visit and we didn't want to leave! We're already planning our next trip here. Thank you!

We recommend ,and we will return next year . Only small problem is parking we have a large car and we could only get car into garage to the driving door , otherwise couldn’t get out of garage but we managed to get car off road . Just a small point but a larger car than ours might struggle.

But everything had been provided at the cottage. There were extras I wasn’t expecting such as milk, eggs and butter in the fridge, beer, crisps and cake as well. I only used the milk as I didn’t do any cooking. That was a nice touch. I was away with my 2 small grandchildren and they loved their room. I was initially worried as it was next to the lounge but they went out like lights every night. They loved it and so did I. Very much a home from home in the quietest of locations.
