Loved the property and all its extensive facilities. The location is high up on the hillside about a half mile from the shops and a fantastic restaurant call Pebbles; it’s about another half mile down to the truly glorious Benllech beach. We must add that the local butcher is one of the best too. As for Anglesey, if you like fresh air, fantastic walks, amazing beaches with lovely wildlife and the possibility of seeing a red squirrel, you must give it ago.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Bryn Uchaf and the location. We too love the local restaurants and yes the butchers is amazing - we are very lucky to have them within easy reach. There are lots of red squirrels to see in Anglesey but we are particularly lucky to have our visiting one from the woods behind who is often seen scampering down the drive! We hope to welcome you again in the future Property Owner

Great location from which to explore surrounding villages snd Towns. Benllech has everything you need including fantastic beach, an amazing Stone museum short drive away. Only negative is the two wandering dogs from neighbouring properties that come onto the property and poo.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. We are very lucky with the location to be next to a beautiful house with large grounds which safeguards the cottages amazing views and peaceful location. The 2 dogs next door are very friendly and may come for a quick hello but we do recommend to keep the gate shut to the garden area which will stop any unwanted visitors (inc sheep!). The red squirrel will still go underneath the gate on his way up the drive! We hope to welcome you again in the future to Bryn Uchaf. Property Owner

The house was lovely and had everything we needed plenty of space for 4 people. The view of the sea from the house is lovely. The only downside was that it said the garden was secure, which it might have been for large dogs but not for my 2 small dogs and there wasn’t really a garden area. However as we stayed in winter this wasn’t really much a of a issue. I would 100% stay again

Our little dog loved the garden particularly when she saw the red squirrel which she chased up the tree. We found lovely places to visit and had two very nice meals at the Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay which is very dog friendly. Thank you for the prosecco and the Welsh cakes. They were a lovely treat. The main windows downstairs at the front have great views but when it is very sunny we had to draw the curtains where as blinds would have allow us to block direct sunshine but still seeing the views. Bathroom could do with a towel rail or two for towels after a shower. Our miniature dachshund managed to find ways out of the enclosed garden which was one of the main reasons for choosing it. It felt really homely and we were able to relax which was the main reason for the break. The views are stunning and a delight.

Thankyou for your comments and we are delighted you enjoyed the cottage and the amazing views. We love the quiet location of Bryn Uchaf however we will look to add a torch to the property for those darker evenings. There is a heated towel rail in the bathroom which we hoped you found convenient. We would love to welcome you back for another relaxing break soon. Best regards Jo Property Owner

Nice to have a bottle of Prosecco and Welsh cakes from the owners on arrival. Accommodation was good with a fantastic bath! Lots of equipment in the kitchen to cook our meals. Benllech has lots of places to eat and Tesco and Co-op are handy. Beach is fab. Good location close to many bays and beaches, although hard to find initially so follow the instructions given. 5-10 min walk to shops and cafes, 15-20 mins to beach. The only problem we had was when our large dog found her way out of the garden-she must have jumped over the back wall into the woods behind and we had a worrying half hour trying to find her. We had to supervise our dog in the garden after that. Garden secure at the front of the house. We would stay here again.

We would have liked the option to cancel but last year we could only rearrange. Unfortunately the only time we could go this year the weather was awful, only had a couple of nice days in the two weeks. The cottage was great, clean, very well equipped. So quiet and peaceful. Benllech beach is nice along with several other beaches on the island. We visited Anglesey sea zoo, The Benllech pub/restaurant, The Ship Inn Red Wharf Bay and The Golden Fry fish & chips, Co-op & Tesco express. All excellent and all very good with enforcing Covid regulations. Would highly recommend this cottage for the facilities, location and view of the sea and mountains.

  • "This cottage is dirty."

It is clearly heavily used by dogs and not cleaned by the dog owning guests or by the cottage owners. The floors are dirty, covered in dog hair and quite a few weeks’ worth of dirt. The soft furnishings are dirty, particularly a set of pink cushions. We covered the sofa with our own throw in order to sit on it. General lack of cleaning - over some time - to all surfaces, windows, doors, inside dishwasher etc. White linen clean and upstairs cleaner than downstairs. Outside pleasant with good views and overall good location.

Thank you for your feedback , we are sorry to hear that the property didn't meet your exceptions. We do have a cleaning company who come in each week to prepare the property, had been aware of any issues we would have been more than happy to attend the property to resolve these for you. It was lovely to look out at the sea and be able to walk down to the beach, although quite a steep walk back. Very quiet and peaceful, all we heard was birds singing and ducks quacking. Benllech beach is great and you can walk right round the bay at low tide. There is a small section where dogs are not allowed but plenty of space apart from that. Plenty of pubs/cafes and a Co-op and tesco express in the village and a good chip shop. The house was clean and well equipped with a good shower, bath and hairdryer. The outbuilding had washing machine and tumble dryer, freezer and there was also a washing line. The garden was secure enough to keep our dogs in. Only slight issue was that the kitchen had no door so a stairgate would have been useful to keep the dogs in, although after running around the beach they headed straight for their bed when we got in. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so that we really didn’t want to leave.
