Well fitted kitchen and spacious lounge, very comfy and obviously well cared for. Will definitely stay again.

  • "Spotlessly clean property in a very convenient location."

The kitchen had all the utensils and crockery and pans etc. that were necessary and all very good quality. Hand soap and washing up liquid provided, in fact everything that was needed. There was ample storage upstairs for clothes and belongings. The location was excellent with Tesco, Co-op and Spar nearby. The beach was within easy distance although the hill back to property wasn't particularly easy but the walk is well worth it since the beach is beautiful! We had a very enjoyable week made even better by the property. Thank you.

Really clean & welcoming, all the facilities you need for your stay there was even milk in the fridge for a cup of tea when we arrived. Ideally located as a base to explore the island and literally minutes walk from the beach. Carol popped in on the day we arrived to check we were all ok which I though was a lovely thing to do. We’d highly recommend the cottage and will definitely be returning.

I put a 3 on the comfort and thats only because of the sofa, well worn (although very clean) and far too soft, struggled to get out of it but other than that..) our favourite place to stay when in Benllech, fabulous location from the town centre & the beach, its just a shame we didn't book quick for next year's break :(

The property is modern, yet with a homely and warm feeling. Super comfortable and clean, you can tell it’s well looked after. We had the joy of meeting the property owners due to a battery needing replaced in one of the fire alarms and it was sorted immediately and with a friendly face. A short walk to the beach -( beautiful and Sandy ) and local pubs/fish and chips shops (I would highly recommend Finny’s - seriously was delicious) in a perfect location for a short drive to enjoy various days out! We’re looking at coming back again, Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

Very Clean, comfortable, well equipped and handy for shops and beach. Its also very quiet and away from the road. The owners live nearby and are very friendly and available for help if needed. They are a mine of useful info on the area. Benllech beach is gorgeous and is worth the walk down the hill. We will return!

  • "We hired the house as part of a big family group of 16 which included the large house next door."

The house was lovely and clean with everything we needed, it is in a great location in the centre of lovely Benllech and walking distance to the shops, beach and pubs. We had a fantastic family holiday as plenty to do on the Island despite the on and off weather and the only small negative comment because we had 2 teenagers was that the internet connection was poor. Description of house and small decked area only at the front was accurate and therefore wouldn’t be as suitable for family’s with younger children and a dog who like to run round outside unless you have access the the big house next door which has a great garden space. Lovely helpful owners and would definitely recommend.

The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and we could see the sea from the back bedroom. We were minutes walking distance from Tescos fish and chips and a pub also a little cafe yet we couldn’t hear the main road. Carol the owner who lives two doors away popped in to see if we were alright and explained about how to over ride the timed heating but we didn’t need it as we were out a lot of the time, she was very helpful and told us places to visit. We would definitely stay again as it it was home from home, so cosy and comfortable. Kathryn and Barry Bates

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Bryn Y Don Cottage."

It was very easy to find following the directions given. The cottage was clean, bright and spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped. The cottage is in the middle of Benllech village, with a wide range of local facilities available within easy walking distance, such as a Tesco Local, several takeaways, pub and seafood shop. I recommend the Golden Fry chippie, which does an excellent click and collect service. The beach is a ten minute walk away, with a very wide beach at low tide. Dogs are permitted on the northern and southern extremes of Benllech beach, though these sections are inaccessible at high tide. There are several other dog-friendly beaches a short drive away. From the cottage, the beach is visible, as are Mount Snowdon and other peaks. The sea is actually only a few hundred yards away and makes a nice relaxing sound from the patio. The cottage makes an excellent base for visiting local attractions. We took our dog with us to walk across the Menai Strait via the Menai Bridge and then the short distance along the coastal path to Church Island, which is a small island accessible by a permanant tarmaced walkway which is home to the small St Tysilio church and adjoining graveyard. We also visited the railway station at Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll which is nearby. We have also been to Holy Island to take a walk down the 400+ steps to Short Stack island and its lighthouse, although it is currently not possible to cross the bridge to the island due to Covid restrictions. In any case, dogs are not permitted on the lighthouse tour. We would highly recommend this cottage and have already booked our next stay.

The track is a bit rough down to it but it is very quiet and private. Extremely clean with free WiFi, all the appliances you need for ease. The beds were comfortable and the shower was ok. Towels, tea, coffee and sugar were all provided with dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc. Within walking distance to a playground and supermarkets, takeaways and a chemist. As well as restaurants and pubs. Benllech beach is a nice walk from the cottage but take the car if you are going to spend the day on it as it is a steep hill to walk back. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone that is looking for a holiday on Anglesey. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely use this cottage again it’s just a shame there is no garden but there is decking at the front.

I may have missed some communication perhaps, but we understood that it was a property directly on Amlwch Road, however eventually after several enquiries with the locals we found this property down a short track, so if this information is not already on your website, then I would recommend that you make the necessary change so that future customers don't have the same problem.

We arrived to 2 very welcoming owners who greeted us and made sure we had anything and everything we need. They gave us some hidden gems to visit and told us all the best places to eat. We stayed in the cottage for a week and loved every minute. We had all the amenities we would need to accommodate a family of 4, one of which is only 18months. We had a cot, highchair and stair gate ready in the property meaning we didn’t need to worry about bringing our own. With a TV in every room and good WiFi connection this meant our teenager was more than happy too. The property is extremely well decorated, a nice bathroom and lovely comfortable beds it’s also lovely and warm so we didn’t require heating at all, not even at night! The kitchen is well equipped so if your looking to do plenty of cooking you’ll have everything you need and no stress afterwards with an dishwasher for the pots and pans. The location is 5 mins from the very picturesque Benllech Beach and 300 yards or so to the local shops, chip shop, takeaway and pub. The owners live next 2 doors down and are in hand to help if required. If you want a stress free break book this cottage!!! The only downside for us was that we could have stayed longer..... Thanks Carol and Gareth, we will be back very very soon!
