  • "Property was very clean but few niggles which were a shame."

Twin link beds mattress were uncomfortable. In the bathroom the bath was very high and would have been of great benefit to have had a grab handle on tiles to help getting in and out. Shower turn on knob was loose so difficult to turn on and off. The kitchen definitely needed some new cooking trays they are in very poor condition also a tee towel would have been good and dishcloth to wipe down work tops. We found the dish brush to be unusable due to staining. Also the fridge was very difficult to open. And no doggy treats but thought the dog tags a brilliant idea. Having said all that we had a good weekend celebrating my husbands 75th birthday

Lovely property, mostly clean only the sofa in lounge needed freshening up as a dog had obviously been on it(white hairs over trousers) or at very least vacuumed

  • "Evidence of mould within the property, no outside light for illumination when trying to unlock door, microwave needs replacing, central heating needed to be controlled on manual, wi-fi kept dropping out, these were the minus points."

Plus points, good location with off street parking, good internal layout, nice shower and comfortable bed.

Ist class utilities. Main complaint is with Sykes..... VERY confusing directions to reach site. Also, almost weekly, Sykes was texting other sites to us after we had booked & paid deposit. Only ending after we had settled balance. Very irritating despite our complaints.

Not sure where the welcome pack was. Quite surprised there wasn't any extra bin bags, anyway not a problem we bought some.Had to clean cutlery and some plates. We also cleaned the bath because there was a scum line around it. I also think a blind in the bathroom is a necessity, felt a bit vulnerable but luckily the neighbours were away. Internet was shocking and could not connect to amazon prime films. After speaking to neighbours maybe switch providers. Had an enjoyable time but won't return. We use sykes cottages all the time and never really have a complaint.

  • "Loved our stay at Morawelon which was lovely and clean and very well equipped."

The bathrobes and dog items were a nice touch. However the Wi-Fi signal was poor and was not adequate to watch the Apps on the Smart TV. The kitchen door steps were too steep so maybe a handrail there would help? A grab rail on the bath would be useful for those of us who are slightly less mobile and also a blind at the bathroom window for more privacy. Saying that we would definitely stay there again in the future.

  • "Just spent a comfortable week at Morawelon, 2 adults and Ted the cockapoo."

Cottage is on a very quite street and had no problem with parking. The cottage has everything you need for a weeks stay except somewhere to dry clothes, the outside line is over bushes and there is nowhere to hang clothes inside. Beds are very comfortable, nice bathroom, a well equipped kitchen, and a comfy sitting room though we found the nice big tv a little high. The only negative is the foisty smell as you walk in. Benllech is a nice place with shops, takeaways, a couple of decent pubs and a nice dog friendly cafe called the Shed. The beach is only a 15 minutes walk. I recommend the Mandarin garden chinese in Llangefni and also Zip world.

Thank you for your lovely comments. There is a clothes airier in the kitchen for drying clothes and we will look into improving the outside drying facilities. Property Owner

I’m sorry to hear you had problems parking on the drive way. We have very good neighbours who would happily moved the vans if you’d asked. Unfortunately I am unable to stop children from playing and no new neighbours have moved in since we bought the bungalow. Property Owner

Well organised with an information package to read through on arrival that gives you all you need to know about your accommodation and surrounding area including restaurant availability. It is mentioned in the pack that there will be a welcome pack of supplies to save going to the shop on your arrival but as per previous feedback this was not the case, remove the statement from the paperwork and there is nothing to pick up on. The bed pillows and linen were the best, I personally have never slept so well top marks for that.It was a very quiet area with friendly neighbours and good for dog walking too. Sakes cottages control of the booking and contact was very good this was my first time with them and would definitely use again. Finally Red wharf bay boathouse was a great location and a lovely meal with great service.

  • "Lovely bungalow situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac."

Clean throughout and had good selection of items needed for a self catering holiday. Beds comfortable, a must for any break. Our only disappointment was not having the welcome pack on arrival, however, the local shop was close by and well stocked despite the stormy weather - not worthy to mark the scores down for!! The local pub was 5 minutes walk away, open Thursday to Sunday out of season, very friendly staff, serving lovely food and dog friendly. Our dog enjoyed many walks meeting lovely friendly people and dogs as she went. The beach is down hill on the way and takes about 15 mins. Kookie enjoyed running along the sands, however, dogs are not allowed from 1st May - 30th September. Very dog friendly island with many other beaches to discover. Benllech is a great base to explore being about 30 minutes from everywhere we went. Beaumaris, Newborough and Trearddur Bay all worth visiting. Being out of season many local tourist things were closed as expected. We've had a brilliant relaxing week despite the stormy weather. Booking through Sykes was easy and staff were helful when I called. The number given for the owners may be incorrect as when I encountered a problem I couldn't get a response. There is a different number to use displayed in the property so this may need changing. Thank you for sharing your delightful home with us.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. The beach is dog friendly all year round but from May to Sept there is a main beach area with restrictions. Property Owner

Located on a quiet cul de sac. Very clean and refurbished to a high standard, well equipped and comfortable, a real home from home. A few kitchen essentials were provided and welcome goodies for humans and dogs. The owner checked on us by text to make sure all was ok. Was decorated for Christmas for us which was lovely. Excellent location for Benllech and exploring other areas of Anglesey. 10 minute walk to the village for shops, cafes and takeaway food. Loved walking on Benllech beach and recommend The Boathouse and The Tavern at Red Wharf. Will definitely return to this property again and will recommend to others. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Morawelon was an excellent base for exploring Anglesey. It is certainly a dog friendly place with some thoughtful touches such as the dog tag to use whilst away. It's my third visit to Anglesey and I have stayed in the centre of the island before, however I felt Benllech provided a great base, plenty of local facilities and everyone helpful and friendly. A good base for exploring Anglesey. The garden was smaller than I expected, one access was from the kitchen and there is a steep step. There is another access from the bedroom but we didn’t use this as we had a small dog with us and I didn’t want him to have free use of the garden as he would have been able to escape under the fencing. However, there are so many lovely walks nearby this wasn’t a problem for us.
