  • "Notification that there are a couple of steps into the property."

Also down from the kitchen to the garden. I have a slight mobility problem but managed as there is a grab bar at the back, but someone with further issues may struggle. Just so people are aware. Cannot fault the size of the bungalow and the convenience to the the shops and local restaurants. The property was very clean and spacious. Heating was easy to use. Will definitely stay again. The only negative was the lack of a washing machine or a spin dryer as needed to hand wash.

  • "Black mould in both bedrooms, rear porch and bathroom also some general cleanliness issues Unable to immediately contact caretaker or Sykes, so made decision to leave, Owner now refuses to make a full refund even though I’ve produced photographic evidence which is plain to see that the mould is a maintenance issue not a quick fix one."

Very disappointed indeed that the owner cannot take responsibility for the condition of the property was in on our arrival.

  • "Lovely bungalow to rent and is very well equipped."

Yes there are a few odd jobs that need doing but overall it is a lovely place to stay. Ideal for the shops they are literally a minute away. Five minutes to the best Sandy beach. We would love WiFi but were well informed about this. Beds really comfortable and I would recommend this property.

  • "We had a lovely holiday in Penelope."

It was immaculately clean and so so comfortable. I think someone took a toothbrush to it! It oozes good quality. The beds are so comfortable and the quilts/pillow and all of the linen is such good quality and smells lovely! Sue the housekeeper is a real positive. She communicates very quickly If you text or ring her, even about silly issues such as the bins!! She is such a lovely lady! I know if we had any problems she would sort them out (but tbh this is such a lovely bungalow in such a fab area, I'm not sure what problems you would have?). It's very quiet so don't pan on having a rave here! Okay lets deal with the negatives: Lack of wifi! I used my hotspot which hardly used any of my data and if it's an issue with Netflix - get a life! I quite enjoyed revising some of our old dvd's etc! The garden is difficult to access and is only sunny in the morning. BUT: The fact that they allow a dog is amazing! It's also very cheap compared to other places and it's right in the heart of Benllech! With all that offers! Shops/pubs/restauramts/takeways. And also in the centre of Anglesey with all of its beautiful places to see. There is so much to do here and this place is so warm and comfortable to come back to! We love this area and this is a very good value place to stay, central and very well appointed! Thanks Sue! xx

  • "Penelope was a very comfortable bungalow."

Very clean and bright. Just a couple of things I would advice, Leave a few pointers as to the heating, (we were really cold for a couple of days till I realised all the plugs were switched off, (not used to that at home). Bin collection days (this was on a small piece of paper on the notice board). I know it can be very 'hit and miss' but I missed not being able to use the internet. All in all, we had a nice time.

  • "Very good location."

Would greatly benefit with the addition of Wi-f. This is something almost everyone uses these days and the only reason we could not recommend this property to all our friends and relatives. Many of the younger people rely heavily on this.

The cleanliness is absolutely perfect and it is very well equipped. If I could say one thing, it would benefit from Wi-Fi but we knew this before we made the booking. The location is ideal, so close to the shops, pub and blue flag beach.

There were also issues relating to the hot water boiler which we believe has been ongoing for a while. We had to keep putting it on boost. The cottage itself we could not fault so close to all amenities in a quiet cul de sac .

  • "The cottage was comfortable and very clean but we had a problem with lack of hot water, which was sorted by the caretaker."

The seating area in the back garden was a disappointment, it was bland, needed weeding, the decking needs painting and we couldn’t use the seat cushions as they were wet inside their bag, the area was just not inviting to sit in.
