  • "This was a great house for an extended family get together."

Very nice and spacious house which was very warm despite the poor weather. Owner very welcoming and promptly dealt with a minor problem we had. Very well equipped house, especially the kitchen. Only 5 minutes walk to beach and a few minutes walk from a pub, several takeaways and a supermarket, and 20-30 minutes drive for attractions on Anglesey and Snowdonia. We really enjoyed our week here and are likely to return sometime in the future.

  • "The house was extremely well equipped, the beds were very comfortable."

It was spacious and clean with plenty of room for 8 adults, 2 under 2's and a dog. We had a fantastic fortnight with very good weather. The beach was great for the children with areas to run the dog. Would highly recommend this property.

  • "These are just small niggles that concerned us."

Make sure there is plenty of toilet paper at hand. We were four adults so were not going to waste any. We asked the friend and neighbour of the owner and she was very obliging. The frying pans were awful so scratched and really unusable please replace them. It's a shame that people do not look after other peoples things. The dishwasher did not work when we were there so not sure about that one. The bedroom arrangements were great as one member of the party needed a ground floor bedroom and bath room, a great plus. The upstairs bedrooms were super too plus the bathroom and as an added bonus the W C. A great location with super views and of course the weather helped it was wonderful. A really great holiday would come again.

  • "This was the first holiday I had booked for a big group of people (10) I didn’t know what to expect as I had been to other cottages before that had cost a lot more money however I must say this place by far exceeded all of my expectations."

We arrived to the cottage being warm and cosy after a long and wet drive. There where things available incase we hadn’t had time to go the shop such as bread, milk, water, biscuits, wine etc; We where close to the Tesco and the beach and lots of little takeaways and a pub. I would definitely stay again!

  • "The cottage was well equipped spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating our family of ten (three generations)."

The generous welcome hamper was a very nice touch. The location in Benllech is very good. Well placed for the beach, supermarket shopping and a good range of food takeaways including a fish and chip shop serving Gluten Free food (this was really good as one member of our family is Coeliac ). The front of the cottage overlooks the bowling green and also has sea views giving a very pleasant outlook. Only a couple of small grumbles. The Games Room’ was rather disappointing - very run run down dusty and neglected. Could definitely do with a makeover. Parking - it was a really tight squeeze to negotiate the car through the narrow gateway and certainly wouldn’t fancy doing it in the dark. That said, we had a really lovely holiday that everyone enjoyed.

It was so nice that we did not have to go shops The house was lovely with fantastic views from most of upstairs bedrooms. It was clean and comfortable and had plenty equipment Owner came and checked everything was okay and if we needed anything Would def recommend. Beach is only ten mins walk down hill. Only small thing to disappoint was games room it could do with a makeover but I would still give a 9 out of ten. It won't disappoint Thank you

  • "A lovely cottage, perfectly placed for walking the Anglesey coast (we used the local bus)."

The views from the cottage were beautiful and facilities in the town were good. We had lots of lovely meals at various pubs and hotels, all with walking distance.

  • "We had a fantastic holiday at Penmean."

The house was spacious and very well equipped and supported 3 generations and a dog - from small baby to grandparents - to come together but not be on top of each other. The location was brilliant - a short walk to a wonderful beach with various eateries on hand. Definitely recommend the bacon sandwiches at Bradleys for breakfast ! It was also only a 40 minute drive to the furthest points of the island to discover lots of other impressive and secluded beaches. Also have to mention the wonderful welcome pack - really generous and helpful.

  • "Absolutely fabulous cottage, with plenty of room, incredibly well equipped and very cozy."

We felt immediately at home here. The Owners left us a very generous and most appreciated welcoming pack, and were there to greet us when we arrived. They could not have been more helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this Holiday Cottage - very good for access to lots of lovely places to visit and brilliant places to eat.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at the property which is very comfortable."

It is clean and well furnished with the the kitchen having more than adequate equipment to cook for, and serve ten people. There is ample space in all the other areas which were well furnished, cosy and warm. The owners had put up a Christmas tree and decorations around the house which all added to making our stay a very pleasant one. The 'welcome hamper' in the kitchen was a lovely idea, and also very welcome - thank you for including all those useful items. The directions to the property were accurate, and we enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Having the shops close by also makes the location of the property very appealing. Would certainly rebook!

  • "The house (in particular the kitchen) turned out to be even better than the pictures suggested."

It is well situated, less than a minute's walk from a Tesco Express. You can walk to the beautiful sandy beach in 5-10 minutes, although with a large beach bag full of kids' stuff we decided to use the beach car park - very reasonable at £4 for the day - instead of carrying the bag back up the hill. My only suggestion for improvement would be to spruce up the games room a bit.
