  • "Great apartment for 2 adults and 2 children, brilliant location for the beach and town."

Had a few problems with a leaky tap and electrics tripping but the owner was easy to contact and sorted it all. Just be aware that the apartment upstairs is the only 1 in the complex of 6 that allows pets, unfortunately in the week we were there the dog upstairs barked continuously on an evening and we could hear every footstep they made! However, we still had an excellent holiday.

  • "We had previously stayed in one of the adjoining properties so we knew that the location was perfect for the lovely beach at Benllech."

Stone's Throw was well equipped and generally well furnished. The slightly elevated position meant that it did not feel like a ground floor apartment. The interior lighting was particularly good. As mentioned by previous reviewers the mattresses on the double and on the single bed need replacing and do not give a good night's sleep. The instruction manual could do with updating to cover the shower (it kept going cold and we didn't understand why) and dishwasher (it came on during the night). The bathroom fan which other reviewers have mentioned has a separate switch and worked perfectly as long as the bathroom light was on.

  • "Very spacious apartment in a fantastic location and good parking."

Very well appointed and with some nice extra touches for families - dvd and dvd’s, books, puzzles, games. Very large TV 2 minutes from an excellent beach, with official coastal walks each way of the bay at the end of the road. Shops, restaurants and cafes up a quite steep hill but only 2 minutes in a car with a large free car park at the main road. Within 30 minutes to most tourist attractions on Anglesey. Had a really great week at the apartment contributed to that good feeling. Would certainly recommend Stone’s Throw

  • "I will definately be staying here again, the place was spotless with everything you could possibly need, it was perfect for my 9 month old baby, the beach was lovely with plenty of food places/supermarket nearby."

I had to contact the owner ‘Derek’ direct for advice on couple of things and he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we need and more, thank you for such a pleasant experience, highly recommend staying here.

  • "Apartment lovely great location slightly disappointed with cleanliness as top bunk was grubby and would not let son sleep in it ."

Not any provisions at all something would be nice eg tea coffee more than half a toilet roll . Very expensive so expected little extras as we got from one next door on 1st floor a few years ago . As for Sykes really really upset with £30 charge after I got my dates wrong by a few days it was literally pressing a button to move by a few days after paying £600 for 3 nights apartment . I used Sykes a lot and sadly has really left a bad taste and will not be any more ...

Ceiling light not working. Kitchen extractor fan light flickering. Venetian blind lounge patio door, the control rod missing.

  • "It's very rare to find a holiday home that is as the saying goes "it did exactly what it says on the tin " this place exceeded this."

Yes 2mins from the beach. Peace and quiet was beautiful. Just what we needed. The apartment had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy. Heating just right. We couldn't ask for anymore. But a longer stay. We even had sunshine, what more could you ask for. With having the beach so near we took plenty of lovely long walks. We loved. The beaches in this part of Anglesey are out of this world. We have been 8 times and we love it. Hopefully it will be our retirement home one day.

A great apartment, ideally situated and very comfortable. We had another nice, relaxing stay and left with our batteries fully recharged. We will stay here again!

  • "The main bed mattress as stated on two previous comments needs replacing, very uncomfortable, which led to poor sleep, obviously owner not listening to comments."

Was not willing to use the wok and the frying pan due to their condition. I expect all utilities to be of a good standard. Booked accommodation as it did not allow dogs, unfortunately half of the other apartments did. Would not have booked if I had known this.

  • "Stayed here for a week with our teenage son."

Lovely spot, nice view of the sea from the terrace. The flat was clean and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen although we didn't cook, it was holiday after all. Bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage space for our clothes. The bathroom was spacious and clean and the pressure in the shower was great. The fan in the bathroom didn't come on at all while we were there, so perhaps that needs looking at. No problem, as we opened the window when we were there. Tesco express is just at the top of the hill for anything we needed. We ate at The Benllech and The Bay Cafe, both very good, the kebab takeaway shop was nice too. Would recommend this flat and would stay here again.

We would love to return to this property and location in the future. The only thing was the mattresses were not very comfy. They all felt like they were ready for replacing and the single bed frame made really loud creaking noises with the slightest movement.

  • "I was looking for somewhere where my family could join me but also for somewhere for me to relax on my own for a few days, where I could feel safe but also have the sea close by without it being too bustling."

The reviews for Stone's Throw and the research regarding Benllech and the surrounding area sounded perfect for me. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for, a clean, comfortable, well equipped, ground floor apartment just 200 yards from a Blue Flag sea front. You know that feeling you get when you need a break and take your first breath of fresh, salty sea air and your shoulders just start to relax down - that's how I felt. Would totally recommend.

  • "The property was excellent except for the fact that the advertised dishwasher blew all the fuses in the apartment and could not be used."

Attempts to repair /replace it were not successful and left until we had vacated the property. Apart from this this is one of the best properties anyone could wish for and the service from Sykes is excellent as always

  • "We have just spent a fantastic weekend in Benllech and were thrilled with Stones Throw."

The photos of the apartment don't do it justice. The open plan area is bright and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Comfy bedrooms and an amazing shower! Lots of books, games and DVDs for all the family. The apartment is lovely and homely with a true holiday feel. The location is fantastic with the beach at the end of the road and the village having all the facilities you need. The beach is one of the nicest on the island with a huge flat sandy area when the tide is out (we spent 2 hours on the Friday night playing football!!) Rock pools and our 2 year old found a 'bear' cave! We will definitely be returning to Benllech, it is a great base to explore the island and is easily accessible from the expressway. We wouldn't think twice about rebooking Stones Throw. Thank you :)

The apartment is situated on a slight incline just off the main beach road so an early morning stroll along the beach is easily accessable. I would recommend this apartment foe couples looking for a quiet retreat or for a family with small children. There are lots of books and games for guests to enjoy as well as a large flat screen TVs and DVD player with a selection of children's films. This property is sensible priced and great value for money.
