  • "Owners very helpful and friendly, good location, close to pubs, restaurants and beach."

Nice house, both clean and comfortable. Facilities overall good, but a washing machine would be useful and no DVD player available despite being listed, (netflix available). Overall great location, friendly/supportive owners with a clean and comfortable house.

We had a lovely restful break which was much needed at sycamore cottage this week everything was perfect for our needs Spotless and clean and very comfortable within We needed to drive to get to the beach as the hill was a bit too much for us to walk up twice a day with the dog she also enjoyed her holiday and the other surrounding bays were lovely but very busy this time of year

Lovely hosts , cottage could do with a little updating , upgrade to main double bed as not the comfiest. Cleanliness was ok , quite few cobwebs and dust around the cottage but overall enjoyed stay

When the owner fixed the shower it no longer got very hot and the pressure was poor.

  • "The cottage is perfectly clean and comfortable."

The hosts are lovely. My issue was that it’s not exactly private feeling. There are buildings / caravans a meter or so away in every direction. Including the neighbours hot tub which is about 1 metre from the back door. Not a huge problem if you know what you’re getting. Also, I wouldn’t agree that the beach is walkable with children in tow and carrying your beach stuff.

It is situated in a beautiful area close to Benllech, ideal for visiting beaches and beauty spots of Anglesey, and is close to shops and eateries if you want that. The hosts Mr and Mrs Maden are lovely and very helpful. Highly recommend this holiday property and we will return.

No washing machine No dishwasher No colander

Thank you for your feedback. The property is photographed showing its best features and not nearby buildings. It is a semi-detached property but is not promoted as being in a remote or fully isolated location. The property does not advertise as having a washing machine, dishwasher or colander therefore it does not provide any of these. There are other properties which do have these features should you require them. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and well laid out and decorated."

Parking was easy and it was close to shops and amenities. The directions were a bit confusing. They needed to say take the left turn immediately before the apartment block on the left hand side in Benllech. The reason I marked the cottage down a little on facilities was because there was no washing machine, but I probably should have noticed that when we booked. There is a laundry close by, but it takes 24 hours and is quite expensive. I already suggested to Mrs Maden about the provision of a vegetable knife and a non-slip mat for the shower, but the provision of an airer would also be useful so that clothes could be handwashed and dried outside. There was an iron and ironing board. Other than these minor niggles, we had a very good holiday and were made very welcome by the Madens, thank you.

The cottage is very well appointed band comfortable and the location is an ideal base for touring the island. Benllech has all the facilities you are likely to need - shops, eateries, etc. The Coastal Path between Benllech and Moelfre is beautiful and Anglesey has very varied and interesting terrain. • "Lovely holiday in Anglesey."

Cottage we stayed in was clean and cozy. Beds wasn't the comfiest, but the couple was really nice,a bit strict with rules though. We arrived at 2.50, but it was pointed out that check in was 3.00,I couldn't see a problem for ten min,as the cottage was ready? It said pet friendly but dogs wasn't aloud upstairs or to sit on the sofa with throws over? We are responsible dog owners, and respect things anyway. Our dog was confused as she is aloud to do both these things at home? Luckily we took her crate just in case otherwise I don't know what we would have done?

  • "A lovely cottage and friendly owner, but there were clear restrictions on taking a pet that were not shared with us before our visit."

These included Not being allowed on any furniture, upstairs or being left in the property alone. It could have changed our choice of cottage if we had known this before booking.

Cottage had everything you need and though the WiFi was poor, and we had problems with some of the Freeview channels cutting out, that's not what you go to Anglesey for. The weather was great, the beaches are beautiful, Beaumaris is lovely - especially the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our week on the island, which is very dog-friendly.

The only slight critism was the shower which hadn't got any power but for a week you can cope with that as the cottage was that nice. Anglesey was fantastic but we had very good weather. If it had rained that would have been a very different story, particularly if you have young children. One last point Sykes, your directions on the letter were useless.Look for the big crane which was removed sometime ago.

The property

A comfortable, semi-detached cottage in the grounds of the owner's home in the small hamlet of Tynygongl.

Built with comfort in mind, this Tynygongl cottage has use of a children's play area next to the property, has a modern, open plan ground floor, two attractive bedrooms and a small private patio at the rear.

An excellent location means this Tynygongl cottage is ideal for a young family to enjoy a beach holiday on the stunning Anglesey coast.

Note: This cottage adjoins Ref. 4185, together they sleep 8.

Tynygongl Farm Cottages

Two modern, semi-detached cottages in the grounds of the owner's home on a former farm in Tynygongl, just outside Benllech on the east coast of Anglesey. These Tynygongl cottages both offer comfortable accommodation for four people, and have been designed to appeal to all, but perhaps especially to young families, as there is shared use of a children's play area next to the cottages, and the long sandy beach at Benllech only 0.5 miles away. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants at Benllech, and nearby Red Wharf Bay also offers a good choice of eating establishments. The charming town of Beaumaris, the Anglesey Sea Zoo, Pili Palas Butterfly Palace and Plas Newydd are all on the isle, while on the mainland, Penrhyn Castle, Bodnant Gardens and the stunning scenery of Snowdonia are easily reached from these quality Tynygongl cottages.
