  • "It’s the location that makes this a great place to stay."

Close to huge sandy beaches & Wales Coast path walks. Stroll along the beach to pubs & restaurants 1-2 miles. Benllech has good amenities- shops, cafes, takeaways & a good bus service.

It was nice to meet you and your husband Julie and thanks for the lovely feedback. I hope you’ll stay with us again. The flat was absolutely spotless when you left us. Thank you so much. Robert Property Owner

The property is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is ideal. The only reason I given 4 stars, is due to the noisy (saniflow) plumbing. Otherwise perfect.

  • "The Hideaway was a great place for a weeks holiday."

The accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable. It was just a short walk to the lovely sands at Benllech and also the coastal path. There were several very good restaurants close by for evening meals.

  • "What a delightful little property."

The owner Robert lives on site and could not have done more to make us welcome. It is really well equipped and I'm sure if anything was missing Robert would have been only too pleased to help. The bed was super comfy and the property was really warm and toasty even mid-winter. It is very well located with a short walk to the beach and coastal paths. I particularly loved the little sun terrace opposite the front door.

  • "We had a great week in Benllech."

We did lots of walking on the beach and the surrounding area. The Hideaway had everything we needed except for a place to sit in the sun. We did give feedback to the owner and he is looking into this. The place was clean and well kept if a little cool at times. This wasn’t really an issue as we had the mini heatwave the week we were there so the cool was appreciated. The bed was very comfy and the rooms were well decorated in a nautical theme throughout. As we were in the converted basement there was a little noise from above with squeaky floorboards and flushing toilets but not all the time. A fabulous position for beach lovers and the beaches themselves were very clean and spacious. All in all a great week.

Dear Mr & Mrs Hughes. Thank you for your review, which I think needs some slight clarification for the following reasons- There is a place to sit outside as shown on the website, but this is under a clear glass roof cover to help shelter from any rain. There is plenty of space near to where you park your car which is in full sunlight and if you remember I gave you two adjustable loungers to make it more comfortable for you, which you used nearly every day. Yes, the apartment is cool due to being super insulated but on handover I showed you the electric wall mounted heaters which you could have used any time you needed them although in 30-degrees temperatures we had that week I doubt that these were needed. I agree that once a day at about 9.30-10.00 the bathroom above is used but only once, I apologise for any convenience caused. Kind regards Robert Property Owner

  • "Of all the places we visited we thought Benllech had the best to offer."

Apart from the excellent tasteful accommodation there was a selection of good places to eat locally and well stocked little supermarkets. For walkers it is only yards from the coastal path and a lovely varied walk to Red Wharf Bay. We were lucky with the weather but even so are determined to go again as we absolutely loved everything about our 5 day mid week break. Booking with Sykes was pain free and they supplied lots of excellent info about the booking.

The property is excellently located, not only in Benllech itself as it is about a four minute walk from the beautiful beach, but overall for exploring the island as a whole. I had a lovely six days exploring the island with this wonderful little apartment as a base. The property is exquisitely presented and decorated, and it is warm and comfortable with great facilities. The owners are wonderful hosts offering advice on the local amenities and offered any help or advice for the duration of my stay. I had a great break at the Hideway and went home feeling relaxed and refreshed! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone wanting to explore Angelsey! 5*

], so good to have the coastal path so handy; was well used. We found the owner, Robert, to be very friendly and hospitable; he was also super speedy in changing the flashing spotlight in the bedroom, as you needed to have them all on to work. It was sorted as soon as we mentioned it to him. He gave recommendations for eating/visiting when we asked, was unobtrusive.

  • "The 'Hideaway' is a deligtful basemant flat in a perfect spot for accessing Benllech beach."

We loved the attention to detail wrt making the accommodation a home from home; lots of 'knick knacks' and pictures etc. The quality of the furnishings is very good and the large store cupboard housing the fridge freezer is a huge bonus. The patio area is very pleasant and really opens up the flat, which can feel a bit enclosed due to it being in the basement (but that's just me perhaps). We didn't see much of the owners as they were away for most of our stay, but they were lovely to meet and had made sure that everything was spot on for our holiday. My only suggestion is that an extra chair in the seating area would have made for perfect comfort.....the two seater settee is fine, but my husband likes to spread out and so we felt a bit cramped with no other comfortable chair......there is plenty of room for a small tub chair or one like the ones on the patio. However, this is just a personal preference, and would not stop us from booking this lovely 'find ' again. Lots to do in the area and the beach is super; full of families and friendly dog walkers. There are pubs, shops and restaurants all within walking distance so what's not to like?

  • "`The Hideaway` at Benllech is a gorgeous & beautifully-arranged apartment for two."

The well-equipped and comfortable accommodation is complemented by a neat little sun terrace, providing a super additional space in which to relax, read that book you`ve been wanting to finish, write postcards to family and friends to tell them how much you are enjoying being there etc; whilst also providing a perfect and partially-covered space in which to eat and drink outdoors. In the write up, `The Hideway` is said to be one minute from the sea, which would obviously vary from person to person. I can only say that (for me) it took a mere 210 ordinary footsteps to reach the sea front. The beach, which is backed by Limestone cliffs and intriguing rock formations, has gently sloping golden sand and plenty of rock pools to explore. The Wales Coast Path is even fewer steps from the apartment and there are plenty of good local facilities. What`s not to like?
