  • "The Hideaway is a perfect apartment for a relaxing holiday."

The location if you have dogs couldn't be better. Short walk down to the beach and when the tide is low its an easy walk over to Red Wharf bay. The apartment was comfortable, warm, plenty of hot water and very well equipped. The small outside seating area would be lovely in the warmer weather. The hosts are friendly, helpful, yet unobtrusive and I will definitely be coming back here.

Everything was just perfect, the location, the apartment, the outdoor space and the wonderfully comfortable bed. Robert was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, even when we needed a new battery for the car he was there with the offer of a lift to go and get one. What a star! We will definitely be returning.

  • "I had a wonderful week stay (16-23 Sept), just myself & my dog."

We came for a relax & recharge & left feeling just that!! The host, Robert, greeted us on arrival & was friendly & helpful. The apartment was lovely, with its beach hut, seaside theme. It is equipped with everything you need. The verandah is a tranquil spot, with the sound of the waves on the nearby beach from one side & cattle lowing on the other. It is a 10 minute uphill walk to a good choice of places to eat which were reasonably priced & supermarkets for everything else. The beach is gorgeous & has dog friendly areas. All in all a great find & I would happily stay again.

Thank you so much for your kind review Laura, and also a very big thank you for leaving the property in such an immaculate condition. We are looking forward to seeing you again very soon I hope. Kind regards Robert Property Owner

Our host was very attentive even checking we had everything we needed. The Hideaway is very well equipped even down to wind breaks and a picnic set for beach days. The outdoor seating area was great for morning coffee and evening drinks we barely sat indoors fully weather proof and there are even throws provided for chilly nights. If you are looking for a dog friendly bolt hole near the beach & several bars and restaurants I would highly recommend The Hideaway.

2 minutes’ walk from the fabulous beach, clean, comfortable - everything you could ask for. It has the cutest little outside space, covered over and very sheltered, so perfect to sit and relax when we had the odd little shower/ having a glass of wine in the evening. Robert (the host) could not have been more hospitable and helpful - making us feel like we were truly welcome and nothing was too much trouble, including our two dogs. Highly recommend and we very much look forward to returning. Thank you so much.

  • "We had a great week in Benllech."

We did lots of walking on the beach and the surrounding area. The Hideaway had everything we needed except for a place to sit in the sun. We did give feedback to the owner and he is looking into this. The place was clean and well kept if a little cool at times. This wasn’t really an issue as we had the mini heatwave the week we were there so the cool was appreciated. The bed was very comfy and the rooms were well decorated in a nautical theme throughout. As we were in the converted basement there was a little noise from above with squeaky floorboards and flushing toilets but not all the time. A fabulous position for beach lovers and the beaches themselves were very clean and spacious. All in all a great week.

Dear Mr & Mrs Hughes. Thank you for your review, which I think needs some slight clarification for the following reasons- There is a place to sit outside as shown on the website, but this is under a clear glass roof cover to help shelter from any rain. There is plenty of space near to where you park your car which is in full sunlight and if you remember I gave you two adjustable loungers to make it more comfortable for you, which you used nearly every day. Yes, the apartment is cool due to being super insulated but on handover I showed you the electric wall mounted heaters which you could have used any time you needed them although in 30-degrees temperatures we had that week I doubt that these were needed. I agree that once a day at about 9.30-10.00 the bathroom above is used but only once, I apologise for any convenience caused. Kind regards Robert Property Owner

We loved the attention to detail wrt making the accommodation a home from home; lots of 'knick knacks' and pictures etc. The quality of the furnishings is very good and the large store cupboard housing the fridge freezer is a huge bonus. The patio area is very pleasant and really opens up the flat, which can feel a bit enclosed due to it being in the basement (but that's just me perhaps). We didn't see much of the owners as they were away for most of our stay, but they were lovely to meet and had made sure that everything was spot on for our holiday. My only suggestion is that an extra chair in the seating area would have made for perfect comfort.....the two seater settee is fine, but my husband likes to spread out and so we felt a bit cramped with no other comfortable chair......there is plenty of room for a small tub chair or one like the ones on the patio. However, this is just a personal preference, and would not stop us from booking this lovely 'find ' again. Lots to do in the area and the beach is super; full of families and friendly dog walkers. There are pubs, shops and restaurants all within walking distance so what's not to like?

The well-equipped and comfortable accommodation is complemented by a neat little sun terrace, providing a super additional space in which to relax, read that book you`ve been wanting to finish, write postcards to family and friends to tell them how much you are enjoying being there etc; whilst also providing a perfect and partially-covered space in which to eat and drink outdoors. In the write up, `The Hideway` is said to be one minute from the sea, which would obviously vary from person to person. I can only say that (for me) it took a mere 210 ordinary footsteps to reach the sea front. The beach, which is backed by Limestone cliffs and intriguing rock formations, has gently sloping golden sand and plenty of rock pools to explore. The Wales Coast Path is even fewer steps from the apartment and there are plenty of good local facilities. What`s not to like?
