  • "Very well situated property in Benllech."

Good size kitchen and fridge freezer. Lots of living space downstairs. Access for parking is quite tight - especially for larger cars. Property is a little tired throughout - needs bits of care in all rooms - skirting, grouting, kitchen cupboard doors, kitchen table cloth etc. Shower in downstairs toilet is in a very cold extension - drafts into kitchen too - could do with a draft excluder. No functional outside lights. Surprised to find no form of welcome pack and no fuel for even a starter fire. Bedroom windows have blinds which let a lot of light in - curtains could be considered.

Thank you for your comments. Since your visit we have had the decorators in as we were aware that some rooms looked tired. We are glad that you liked the position, space downstairs and the facilities at The Nook. We have had the hedge cut back at the front to increase the space on the driveway. The hallway is being laminated in January to replace the carpet. Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful property."

Excellently placed for the local shops and the beach which was lovely, with dogs being allowed on one oart of it. Clean and comfort with plenty of space with a well equipped kitchen. Great good sized garden for the dogs. Owner has thought of almost everything. We had a wonderful week regarding the weather and maybe would have benefitted from a couple of fans as some of the rooms got really warm. This is the only thing that we could find to give feedback for. We loved it that much that we've already booked for next year. Could highly recommend The Nook to stay.

  • "Fabulous property in perfect location for all amenities and the beach."

Deceptively spacious and very well equipped. Garden very secure for our two dogs and although is in the centre of the town it is in a quiet little cul-de-sac of only 4 properties so no vehicle/foot traffic and is not overlooked. Bedrooms are large and with comfortable beds. Apart from cozy lounge there is a large dining room and a second snug, neither of which we used since we ate in the kitchen diner. The beach, is only a seven minute walk down the hill but you need to keep an eye on the tide times to get maximum benefit of the expansive sands. The beach is really sheltered from the wind and is a social dog walkers paradise with numerous other like minded and friendly owners. Although the beach access is slightly restricted for dogs in the busy months, it only applies to a small section of the beach. The Benllech pub is a welcome lunch stop on the way back from the beach offering a good and varied menu. Overall we had a superbly relaxing week and will definitely return to this property again.

  • "Only real problem was the washing machine wasn't working."

One of my dogs had vomited on a throw on the way there and I really needed to wash it.Because the washing machine was not working it ultimately meant we had to take it home a week later to clean it, by which time it was growing its own life form. We bought fuses and changed the one in the plug but there was no 'thank you for trying' from the owners. I was disappointed with this, it tainted my whole view of the property and the attitude of the owners. Other than this, everything was good. The garden is very very well enclosed with high fences all around. I always worry one of my dogs will get out (she's a ninja) but it is very secure. I'd have liked it if I could have closed the internal doors properly, to stop dogs going in to rooms we weren't using, but most of them would only push to and there was no catch to close them. I didn't want my dogs to go in and lie on the beds, purely because i didn't want to create more work/laundry for the owners. How fabulous to have a Nespresso machine! In fact the amount of cooking gadgets provided was wonderful.I Overall we really enjoyed our stay we would return, and would recommend to others.

We are really glad to hear that you would return to the Nook, and enjoyed your stay. We will look at the door catches and try to ensure that the doors do stay closed. We were grateful that you allowed the washing repair man access to the property so that the issue could be addressed on his first available day. The washing machine has now be replace and we are sorry that it was not working when you stayed at The Nook. Thank you for trying to fix the washing machine yourselves. Property Owner

It is a gorgeous property, very clean and the owners have thought of everything. I think it’s the first time I have stayed anywhere when there hasn’t been anything I’ve not been able to find. There was even enough coat hangers and hooks on bathroom and bedroom doors! The garden is also wonderful with plenty of seating and a gorgeous view. Our dog absolutely loved it as did we and we were lucky enough to have the weather to be able to enjoy it. The bakery at the top of the street is amazing and very reasonably priced but we all left half a stone heavier, but so worth it. We will definitely return.

  • "This is our second stay at The Nook the only property we have stayed in that we have ever returned to."

The property is spacious and airy with beautiful views. It is ideally situated for everything you need gorgeous beach, several places to eat, friendly pub and supermarket all within very easy reach. I have to say the bed is probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept in - personal taste I know but worth mentioning. During our stay the weather was not too kind to us and we had a couple of wet days which cannot be helped but we had another lovely stay and have already discussed returning! I would say that the property would greatly benefit from a smart tv in the lounge. I know a lot of people don’t watch tv on holiday but we have an older dog who just wanted to sleep after a day out so we did not venture out too much in the evenings. I ended up watching tv on my iPad. We had some very heavy rain and wind during our stay and noticed some damp walls on the kitchen and by the bay window in the lounge. This did not affect our stay just an observation as we saw some work had been done to sort out the flaky paint in both the kitchen and utility room. Overall I would highly recommend The Nook in a heartbeat to anyone considering a stay in Anglesey. The addition of the decking is great and just adds to the amazing views - just a shame the weather did not give us the opportunity to take full advantage of using it!

Thank for your comments, and we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay, sorry about the weather, I will look into the possibility of having a Smart TV for next season, and act on the other comments that you have made. I am glad that you find the new decking adds to the property and allows you to see the amazing views more easily Property Owner

The layout worked very well for us, having two separate lounges was a bonus as our 20 year old son came with us, which meant he had his own space and could choose what he wanted to watch on TV. The garden was a real suntrap and we enjoyed spending time on the decking enjoying the view of the sea and watching the sun go down with a glass of wine. Location perfect close to all the amenities and beach. Garden was perfect for our two labradors, only item which would have been nice would have been a washing line. There was an airer but difficult to hang properly. However, did not spoil the wonderful time we had there. Highly recommend.

The garden was enclosed which was excellent for our dog. Five minute walk to a beautiful beach, sea views from the bungalow and generally a great location. We also visited other lovely beaches in Anglesey as well as several castles. Ate out locally once or twice and plenty of good take aways in the local vicinity. There were, though, excellent facilities provided for us to cook ourselves and a beautiful patisserie two minutes walk away. The only thing missing was a BBQ.
