  • "Fantastic location and a really spacious property, although not being able to check in until after 5pm, and having to check out by 9am was far from ideal and left us feeling a bit short changed."

    Was really helpful having cupboard essentials and cleaning products already there. We felt that the bedrooms really lacked sensible storage solutions (no wardrobes anywhere, which we saw other guests had mentioned), and no lock on the main bathroom door is a bit short-sighted. The ground floor front bedroom had black mould growing around the window frame, and some dodgy paintwork which looked to be masking a large damp patch too. Freeview tv was pretty poor, perhaps it needed updating or something as we had a very limited choice of channels (far more on our freeview back home). Our main issue was the heating of the property. The kitchen is freezing cold at all times (even with central heating on), meaning the log burner had to always be on. The central heating was set to only come on at 15 degrees, and was on a timer. This meant we had to have the log burner on in the main room pretty much all the time too; and between the two log burners we spent a lot of money on logs and kindling. Essentially, we were paying for heating somebody else's house, which is pretty shameful (especially given what we paid to rent the place). Advert said underfloor heating was present, but we never felt anything but cold floors. We were told a "welcome pack" of logs etc.. for the burners was present; infact there was one solitary log and a firelighter. Absolutely no use whatsoever, especially at 6pm in the evening on a cold night and with the local shops (Tesco, Co-op, Spar) not selling logs. All in all a pleasant spacious property in a good location, but struck us as the owners were being as cheap as possible with lack of heating, poorly thought-out storage solutions and lack of basic property maintenance in some areas.

    Hi Mr Quinn, I'll try to address your concerns here. We have no control over check in/ check out times. Our Housekeeping service abides by Wales government guidelines and unfortunately whilst Covid is still a concern the cleaners need extra time to do a full cleanse of the property each time. This is government guidelines and we have to abide by it. Storage space - there are drawers and hanging space in each of the rooms as well as additional cupboards with hanging space suitable for a full family on the landing. This was addressed after previous feedback suggesting more storage space. As there were 2 of you there I'm surprised you ran out of hanging space? The guides to using the underfloor heating and the main thermostats are in the guidebook which I'm assuming you've somehow missed them? These are set to medium temps with guests invited to adjust to their liking. There is also a log store available to guests in the garden which is also detailed thoroughly in the guidebook which again I think you've missed somehow. I'm sure you understand that we cant stockpile logs inside the house for fire safety reasons but the guidebook is clear that guests can help themselves to as many logs and fire lighting equipment as they need. We have been alerted to a small damp problem that is being addressed. The property is renovated 120 year old seaside cottage so damp is something we are vigilant of. Finally, given that we invite guests to call us if there is anything at all that we can help with and provide numbers to call if you have any questions I'm a bit disappointed you didn't pick up the phone during your stay as all of this could have been explained and sorted for you to make your trip more comfortable at the start of your trip.     The house is beautiful, we’ll equipped and very comfortable. The bedrooms and beds are spacious with top quality mattresses for a great nights sleep. Lovely garden

  • "We booked a week's stay in the summer and were impressed from start to finish."

    The property is ideally located in close proximity to the beach, restaurants and local amenities. The house is immaculate and has everything you need for your stay. It has a large back garden making it ideal for a summer break. There is a large kitchen area and a number of well sized bedrooms making it the perfect property for a break with family and/or friends. We will definitely be staying again and recommending it to our friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • "We stayed for a week and found it to be a Lovely house and garden, plus the house is in a great location with great beaches !"

    !! Only down sides where Not enough seating in the living room House is advertised to sleep 8 but we struggled to fit 6 of us in the living room only one sofa and one chair always one of us sat on the floor . Plus no cupboard or drawers in most of the bedrooms we lived out of our bags?Would recommend one more sofa in the living room there is plenty of room for one

    There is a large L shape sofa which seats 6 in the Lounge as well as a love seat that seats 2 and an arm chair which seats 1, there are drawers in each room and most guests have actually commented that there is plenty of storage. Property Owner

Benllech has a beautiful, long and sandy beach, much favoured by families, with a slipway allowing easy access for all. A variety of shops and cafés front the beach, with a picnic area to the side, whilst the village centre offers more shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants. The setting promises to suit every taste, with the village itself ideal for family holidays, whilst the rural setting offers peace and easy access to the coast, rural Anglesey and of course the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
