The property

Malltraeth 1.5 miles.

This lovely, detached cottage is situated less than five miles from the popular coastal town of Newborough, with its delightful beaches and forest trails, and is less than 20 minutes’ walk from Bodorgan rail station, with its links to Chester and Holyhead ( and from Holyhead onto London Euston).

Providing an ideal family property for a fun holiday, this delightful cottage is set at the foot of a quiet cul-de-sac, with picturesque country views to the rear.

Offering a welcoming room layout with attractive coastal themes and seaside styling throughout, the sitting room boasts impressive rural views, complimented by a stylish modern radiator and warming woodburner.

The kitchen incorporates a social dining area and feature AGA, along with a breakfast bar where you can settle with a glass of wine and keep the cook entertained whilst they prepare a hearty meal for everyone.

A snug room offers an area for the kids to escape to with their media games and toys, or perhaps for the adults to take over on movie night, and provides a sofa bed for the occasional guest.

Upstairs you will find three well-presented bedrooms with two king-size rooms and a twin bedroom which is accessed through one of the king-size bedrooms.

The rear private garden is enclosed, and south/west facing, which captures a small sea view and stunning sunsets throughout the year, as well as offering a summerhouse to enjoy long into the evening.

Enjoy country walks from close by, leading onto the Anglesey Coastal Path towards Malltraeth, Aberfraw and its miles of unspoilt sand dunes, or into Newborough Forest with its red squirrel population, all of which also boast outstanding views of Snowdonia.

The area has plenty of mountain bike tracks, or why not enjoy a day of car or motorcycle racing at the nearby Anglesey Circuit, Trac Mon, five miles away?

Why not try a track day, you'll be hooked!

This cottage is the perfect base to enjoy all the delights that this island has to offer.

About the location

MALLTRAETH

Newborough 2 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Malltraeth lies in the south west corner of Anglesey, at the head of the long inlet formed by the Cefni Estuary and close to the popular Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. Malltraeth Pool and the magnificent sweep of marshes and sand dunes, which stretch south to Llanddwyn Island, are all part of a National Nature Reserve. The whole area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are wonderful forest and coastal walks from the village, which has a pub, a cafe serving afternoon tea and a chip shop (also selling basic items/newspapers etc). Close by are beautiful beaches at Llanddwyn (reputedly the 4th best in Britain), Aberffraw, and Cable Bay, or head to Rhosneigr, which is renowned for its all year round watersports facilities.
