  • "Lovely house with everything you need, but an awful smell of damp throughout the property."

Glad that you thought the house was lovely and had everything you needed however Very surprised to read that you thought that the house smelled damp...we have not had a single complaint regarding this in 2yrs and are struggling to understand why, having visited just after your stay. The house is also centrally heated. We did call you regarding the issues a number of times and to check on your stay but you never returned the call, only texting 24hrs later to confirm all was well. Sorry for the inconvenience but feel your comments are unjustified and have asked Menai/Sykes to investigate. Update 11 Oct Dear guest., we have fully investigated the damp issues and unfortunately discovered that the shower had leaked into the downstairs toilets. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused as we were not informed by the cleaner or the previous guests. We have rectified the problem and wish we had been able to fix this before your stay. As a gesture of good will we have requested Menai to compensate you as this is not in keeping with our standards and not what we expect guests to experience. We hope this goes some way to making up for the inconvenience caused. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. Yours sincerely Treath y Bryn Property Owner

  • "Very homely and comfortable house."

Spacious rooms with everything provided that we needed for the week. The garden was very secure for our dog, with high fencing all around and lots of space. Bethel is a great location to reach beautiful beaches and forests nearby as well as lovely places to eat. Village shop is very convenient. House is next to a road but with only light traffic & very quiet through the night. We hope to book again soon.

We have managed to explore most of Anglesey , and even got the train up Snowdon! Our kids loved the play room (We enjoyed the peace when they were in there!) And Lulu our dog loved the garden. Thank you + we hope to come back again

  • "A lovely spacious holiday property with everything we could need, there was 4 adults and 1 child and we had ample space."

The 3 bathrooms made it so much easier all round and my son loved running and playing in the enclosed garden. We took toys for my son to play with but we really didn't need to as the added bonus of the play room was excellent. We would definitely recommend this property.

  • "Spacious pet friendly property with a big enclosed rear garden & off road parking."

The house has everything you need for a self catering holiday & the big size fridge/freezer is great. Furniture was comfortable & it was nice to have a tv in the main bedroom. Very helpful information pack that was full with useful info about the property& the area. The Property is well located for days out on main land North Wales as its a quick drive to the bridges to get off Anglesey but also a good location for days out on Anglesey itself. Its also within a really short driving distance of some beautiful beaches. Good to get a call,a day or 2 afrer we arrived, to make sure everything was OK at the property. All in all a good house in a ideally located position.

  • "A perfect stay."

The house felt cosy and comfortable, but also huge, and more than enough space for our family of four (2 adults and two kids (4&7)). I dare say, adding another 2-3 people into the mix and the house would still be than adequate! The house had everything we needed, and a lot of thought had been put into what was required to make the stay enjoyable. The hosts could not have been more helpful, easily contactable, and lots of great recommendations. Honestly couldn't fault it. Location wise, Bethel is quiet, with a small (but well stocked) local shop, but brilliant as it's 5 minutes from some fabulous beaches, with ample parking, or 15 minutes to reach the bridges and mainland. We split our time between the beaches, Beaumaris, and further afield to Llandudno & Conwy, and the location was brilliant for all. Lovely and safe for the kids as well, the back garden being a great space, and all in all, feeling very secure. Stayed in a lot of holiday cottages/houses in the past, and there's always been something that could be done to make it a little better, but not here. Was tempted to write a less positive review to help ensure there'd be availability in the future, but that would be a massive disservice to the hosts, for the amazing service and house they have. If you are reading this, and contemplating whether to book this house for a holiday on Anglesey/in North Wales. Do it. You will not regret it!

It is in a great location for exploring the island, especially the west coast and it's beautiful beaches. The guest book is super helpful and full of great recommendations.
