  • "A beautiful house with fabulous views."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Surrounding area is lovely. We had some great walks along the coastal path.

  • "Great location if you like piece and quiet, lovely views all round."

Good facilities throughout the property. The WIFI not too great, It kept going off. The beds were lovely and comfy and so were the sofas. There was plenty of space round the back for the two dogs.

  • "We holiday in Rhoscolyn every year, this was our 1st time at Mwythus."

The location is absolutely perfect, the coastal walk is easy to get too and the beach access is minutes away. The property itself has stunning views and large contained garden which was a must for us with 2 cocker spaniels and I have to say kitchen wise it’s the best stocked kitchen we have stayed in for utensils, equipment and even had a good dry cupboard selection of condiments. Very comfy lounge and a large social kitchen, it’s a great space for families or small group of friends. A couple of issues one there was no visible iron and ironing board. The Wi-Fi isn’t great which suited us this time as we were on our honeymoon and wanted to switch off so didn’t have any work to do. The last one which is quite a big one for us as it determines our return factor is the mattresses we tried both the double beds and I really think the property needs to invest in better mattresses as the toppers don’t help, we didn’t get a good nights sleep all week, thank fully we brought a massage gun so that helped, but the beds were very uncomfortable, which is more apparent when you are walking 10-15km a day. We would 100% come back if they had better mattresses but I would still highly recommend the property as mattress comfort is subjective to the individual.

  • "A beautiful cottage."

In a beautiful location. Cleanliness sadly let the cottage down . Black long hairs in all rooms . Clearly had not been cleaned or forgotten. We at to clean floors ourselves on arrival. Which was not the start I wanted for our family holiday.

  • "Thank you for arranging the sunshine!"

Fabulous property close to atmospheric coastline. Spacious and quite well equipped. On the downside? Booked cot & high hair not left out. On discovery there was no tray for the high chair(rendering it useless) & the fasteners were mildewed. Major disaster was a single broken corkscrew!! Big garden area - shame about stained , dirty terrace.

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay at you cottage."

I can say on behalf of myself and my family we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mwythus and would definitely stay again. I Ive already forwarded the cottage details to friends and family who are currently looking for a lovely place to stay close to the sea. The kitchen was really well stocked with lots of useful utensils and dishes. I thought a more modern coffee pod machine (as I had brought coffee pods with us) would have been more preferable. I thought the outside furniture looked like it need a good clean as it had moss on it.

Thankyou for your lovely comments and also some improvements to take on board. Just to let you know that all furniture have been cleaned sanded and re-varnished and we now have a coffe pod coffee machine as well as keeping our existing filter coffe. We look forward to seeing you back in the near future. Property Owner

  • "A 30th birthday celebration weekend and we all had the most amazing time."

The cottage is spotlessly clean, with all amenities that we needed. The views from every single room were breathtaking, and opening the bifold doors on a sunny afternoon from the kitchen out on to the garden was just brilliant. It was everything we had hoped for. The log burner made for a really cosy evening! We only left the cottage this morning but we are already wishing we could be back there now!! It is lovely and we can’t wait to return.

  • "Several small niggles given that we paid a significant premium over the normal rates due to the public holday week they are worth a mention."

The advertisement of the cottage gave the impression that it was all on the level, but two steps down to the bedrooms and two steps up to the lounge was a difficulty for the older members of the party. Simple items not available such as trays and milk jugs. also tumblers a bit chunky (minor) Shower ran out of hot water after used by 3 people. Handrails in the showers would be useful for older people. No spare toilet paper, given the notice that only specifc paper should be used for the toilet system a few spare would have been useful. No iron/iron board Overall cottage was clean, comfortable and plenty space. Lovely location

Thank you for your feedback, the owner is looking into your comments. Also the information regarding the toilet paper is being updated as we have had confirmation that normal, regular toilet paper if fine but the septic tank system can not deal with wipes, nappies or sanitary products of any kind. About the location

RHOSCOLYN

Valley 2 miles; Trearddur Bay 3 miles; Holyhead 5 miles.

Located on Holy Island, three miles from Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn is a small village with a church and primary school and is the most southerly place on Holy Island. Rhoscolyn also offers an excellent pub on the lane down to the beach, which is renowned for its gastro food, and the beach itself with its slipway, ideal for small dinghies and power boats, is a popular family destination throughout the summer owing to the sheltered cove and gently sloping sands. Also excellent cliff-top walks can be enjoyed and an abundance of wildlife can be seen, often including seals on the headland. Just two miles away is the village of Valley, which has a Post Office, chemist, shops and eating places, plus the nearby resort of Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of the island and is truly beautiful with a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine Blue Flag sandy beaches. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, supermarkets, harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. Watersports, bathing, sailing, windsurfing and horse riding are the main activities in the summer months, plus golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course, and the area is also a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve. An excellent location with plenty to see and do!

Note: one dog per party is free of charge, £20 for an additional
Note: Please note there is a good housekeeping bond of £200.
Note: An honesty donation is expected for the use of the EV charger please.
