  • “We enjoyed the stay it was a comfortable and generally clean but the cooker was very greasy.”

I suspect that it was a spillage of oil from the last guest but I had to clean it up before I could use the cooker. Something I think the cleaner needs to check. Sheila

Gwel Yr Afon, Sir Ynys Mon

Situated in the former fishing village of Moelfre, where you can bask on its sandy beach and take in the picturesque scenery around you, are these two wonderfully appointed cottages, next-door-but-three to each other. The properties mirror each other in presentation and choice of décor, with sumptuous furnishings to accompany. They have open-plan living areas, perfect for gathering with friends for home cooked feasts, board games and relaxing in front of the TV. The garden areas are enclosed, perfectly safe for children and there is ample off-road parking. This maritime village offers plenty to see and do, swamped by beautiful, Welsh countryside which goes on for miles and miles. There are shops, pubs and cafes near the beach and cliff top walks to satisfy those yearning for mountainous scenery. Take a dip in the sea to cool off after an morning of sunbathing or grab an ice ream from one of the kiosks. Attractions in the area include, the Dic Evans Statue dedicated to the achievements of one of Moelfre Lifeboat's men, the Seawatch Centre and Hindlea Seat. The Swnt is a quaint row of fishrmen's cottages overlooking the pebbled beach and well worth a visit with your camera, where you can glimpse many sea birds. You also have Porth Helaeth, Traeth Lligwy and Traeth Penrhyn beaches, along with the Dulas Estuary, formerly one of Anglesey's main trading ports and a haven for a variety of birds. Enjoy many water sports including kayaking, kite surfing and water skiing, as well as course fishing. There are many waling routes and cycling trails to journey on as well, suitable for many capabilities. This is a wonderful base to choose, for a well-earned coastal break with your loved ones.
