“Lovely cosy cottage in a great location to explore the area.”

The cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. This is a very old cottage with many of the original features retained and had loads of character. It also had safe off road parking which is something we always look for in a holiday let. The welcome pack of wine, Bara Brith and Welsh Cakes was a lovely touch and our dog loved the doggie treats supplied. This is a pet friendly cottage and even towels, a bed and feeding bowls for ...

This is a pet friendly cottage and even towels, a bed and feeding bowls for the dog were supplied. The milk in the fridge when we arrived was much appreciated also together with coffee, tea, sugar etc supplied. Lovely to meet Llinos and her husband who live next door. Very friendly couple. There is a lovely Bakers a short walk away which unfortunately we only discovered at the end of our stay. It is only open in the mornings and is situated on the turning for Brynteg caravan park. Not many bakers like this left. Take cash though as they don't take cards. The pasties were really nice, great for a picnic. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable week away.

The property

This fabulous end-terraced cottage lies near the village of Llanrug, situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, only three miles from famous Llanberis.

Perfect for families wishing to get away from it all, this heart-warming retreat promises a warm welcome throughout the year.

A beautiful lounge features a woodburning stove and sumptuous sofas, leaving you spoilt for choice between this room and a cosy snug.

The children will also feel right at home here too, with a playstation and collection of books on offer.

Gather together in the dining room for an evening meal, the table seats up to six people, and a fireplace with a slate surround is a central focus of the room.

The country-kitchen leads off from this, and a family bathroom is elevated by blue tiles, including both a bath and a separate shower, to finish the ground floor.

Upstairs you can choose from three bedrooms, each are presented to a lovely standard with a neutral theme, well-coordinated decor, and complimented by pleasant views across the countryside.

The single room even features a pull-out bed should you want to make use of this.

Outside you can enjoy the good sized patio, a lovely suntrap with furniture and a barbecue, ideal for a sunny afternoon.

Llanberis is suited for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales.

The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes.

Just four miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its 13th century castle and town walls.

Between the beaches and water sports, there really is something for everyone.

OWNER is flexible with start dates over Xmas and New year.

LLANRUG

Llanberis 2 miles; Caernarfon 4 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles.

Llanrug is a small village with two pubs, two shops, a Post Office, a hotel with indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and a 9 hole golf course is nearby. The village is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, only 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales. The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Llanberis boasts excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping.
