The property

Llanrug 2.2 miles.

3 Capel Brynrefail is a beautiful conversion occupying one half of the old Brynrefail Chapel, situated right in the heart of the village of Brynrefail, which is surrounded by countryside.

Being just a short walk from the stunning Llyn Padarn and three miles from the village of Llanberis, this lovely property is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of North Wales and given its location would certainly appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, couples, friends and families.

3 Capel Brynrefail is a semi-detached house but occupying one half of the old chapel, it goes without saying it is not your conventional house or cottage!

Having undergone total conversion in 2011 by local craftsmen, the property has been sympathetically refurbished to a very good standard whilst keeping the charm and character and incorporating energy efficient technologies, such as "Finn glass" heated double glazed windows, electric underfloor heating and solar panels to heat the hot water.

The generous and well-proportioned accommodation is extenuated with high ceilings and the large, almost gothic, full length windows; all featuring half-moon stained glass leaded fanlights in the bedrooms and landing.

The level of care and attention the cottage owners have gone to ensures you will have a wonderful stay, and is evident from the moment you walk through the large double entrance doors.

The sitting room is light and spacious with plenty of comfy seating for everyone, the perfect place to relax after a day on the mountains with the electric fire warming the space around you.

Make your way to the fitted and well-equipped kitchen/diner with integral appliances that cater for all your needs.; whip up a tasty meal for your group before sitting down to discuss the day's events.

Upstairs there is a spacious family bathroom with bath and a separate walk-in shower cubicle, and the three bedrooms, all tastefully styled and with good quality, plush beds.

Two of the bedrooms have the added benefit of zip/link, super-king-size beds which lends the property to some flexible sleeping arrangements, and the master bedroom also enjoys wonderful countryside and hillside scenery, an adjoining cot room and a sleek en-suite shower room.

Outside, a blocked paved patio area enjoys a sunny aspect, ideal for enjoying alfresco dining in this wonderful area of Snowdonia or simply enjoy a morning cup of tea whilst planning the day ahead.

For days out while at the property, lace up your walking boots and take advantage of the abundance of walking and cycling opportunities within the Snowdonia National Park.

Climb Snowden, or try your hand at kayaking and canoeing on the Llyn Padarn Lake before stopping for some lunch in the nearby villages.

Right on the doorstep of 3 Capel Brynrefail is the charming café, Caffi Caban, where you can enjoy a traditional breakfast and a nice cup of tea.

A short walk will take you to bakehouse @ the snowdon inn for fresh pizza, with a handful of further restaurants in the nearby village of Llanberis such as Peak Restaurant, for a modern Welsh cuisine.

This wonderful property offers a great base from which to explore the local area, visiting the nearby towns of Bangor and Caernarfon with its majestic heritage castle, Llanberis which is the gateway to the peak of Snowdon, or the popular mile-long zip wire at Bethesda.

There is so much to see and do with the choice of outdoor activities on offer in this area, enjoy returning to the comfort of 3 Capel Brynrefail any time of year.

About the location

LLANRUG

Llanberis 2 miles; Caernarfon 4 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles.

Llanrug is a small village with two pubs, two shops, a Post Office, a hotel with indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and a 9 hole golf course is nearby. The village is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, only 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales. The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Llanberis boasts excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 4 miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent 13th century castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd and many wonderful beaches.
