  • "Light and bright, nicely furnished cottage with great views and good facilities."

We loved the decor and location and it felt spacious for two. The sofas were a bit uncomfortable after a while and we struggled to get the bedroom as dark as we like without any blackout blind. But overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is delightful. We had a small problem finding it as we thought it was white from pic on website , ha ha ! It is quite unusual & we loved the art work. Overall, absolutely superb. Thank you very much.

Maybe it was the high winds causing problems. Cooker hood needs a deep clean.?Washing up bowl would be useful. The owner brought a bench for the garden , thank you, unfortunately to to the weather we couldn’t sit outside much. Really enjoyed our holiday.

  • "We wish to inform you that the cottage was not up to your usual standard."

First of all the sofas we're very uncomfortable and very stained. When we removed the bedding as requested, the duvet was very badly stained and needs throwing away!! The blinds in both the bedroom and the bathroom had broken control chains. We managed to close them and they remained closed for the week. The shower head was extremely dirty. Was full of black mould as was the rim of the showere tray. The plug hole was full of hair and don't know what else!! As for the outside space, it is not suitable for sitting out because it is facing the road. Obviously why no garden furniture was supplied! Also dog mess had been left in the garden. All in all we were quite disappointed. Having found at the end of the week, Menai cottages had their offices at the rear of the cottage, we informed them of the above. We will leave it up to you whether you decide to print this or not. Regards, Jackie and Gordon Higson.

Overall, a wonderful, comfy, home from home The only downside was the heating - the manual said not to touch the central heating and without the portable electric heater it would have been colder The bedroom and bathroom were cold and noisy because of the wind blowing through the extractor

Plenty of walking and on the doorstep for a car ride away for the bigger towns. We ate at the local pub a few times were the food is very nice, as were the staff. I can recommend the home made pizzas! This is also dog friendly. , we would definitely return again.

  • "Unfortunately there were several drawbacks, no tin opener, no vegetable peeler, bulb in extractor fan not working, no where to put shower gel/soap in the shower, freezer drawers needed cleaning out and the freezer did not keep food frozen and the bed was very creaky."

But worst of all we’re the sofa covers all of them are dirty probably where dogs have been allowed to sleep and the throws put over to try to disguise the dirt are stained and sofa are saggy and uncomfortable. I tried to phone Menai cottages but gave up trying to get through. I left a note to the housekeeper. I sincerely hope that these problems will be addressed to benefit future guests.

  • "Bron Haul was a delightful cottage and a pleasure to stay in; it was comfortable and had everything we needed."

It is based in a great spot for getting around the area with lots of lovely walks and places to see. Ideal if you didn't want to cook with a local pub only 50 yards away serving good food with a warm welcome. Only small problem was that we could not turn the sound down on the television as it was quite loud. We did experience the water going off because of a burst pipe somewhere, but some lovely local young children had called Trick or Treating (bit early though) and they took the kettle to get some water but were unsuccessful, however I gave them some money for sweets but ten minutes later they returned with some bottles of water for us. We will be returning again when this pandemic is over.

  • "We had looked forward immensely to going to Bron Haul and were not disappointed."

It’s location and accessibility are excellent, and provided all that was needed for a relaxing and chilling out week. The layout of the living area provided a spacious and comfortable area for cooking, dining and relaxing in the evening. The quality of the furnishing and the kitchen equipment was of a very high standard. The same would apply to the bedroom and the spacious bathroom. A comment on the building itself. From the depth of the windowsills the stone building would appear to have a history. Perhaps, as a suggestion, a brief outline of its origin might be included with the other very helpful literature on the sideboard. We would certainly wish to go there again.

  • "Bron Haul is a beautifully decorated little cottage which was perfect for the two of us."

It is in a location which was new to us and was a great base for visiting Beaumaris, Penmon Lighthouse, The Hidden Gardens, The Belgian Promenade, The Stepping Stones as well as the fabulous beach at Newborough. It is also close to the Anglesey Coastal Path and we took the opportunity to try a circular route which took us along the Menai Straits. The cottage is well equipped and had everything we needed although the handles on the saucepans were a bit wobbly. The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher although we didn't actually use it. The cottage is very close to the road but we didn't find that was a problem apart from needing to keep the bathroom blind closed all the time for privacy. We really enjoyed our stay and thought it was perfect for our needs. We would definitely like to stay there again.

  • "The cottage was well renovated and had everything you need for a short holiday."

Unfortunately I did not find it comfortable or in a good location. I found the bathroom sink and toilet had not been cleaned or the cooker hob. The bed was rock hard and the sofas very saggy. It was also very hot and heating not easy to turn down. Although I was aware it was on the road side from reading previous reviews, I was not aware the cars would be parking on the pavement three feet from the windows. The views were lovely but not the place for a quiet chilling week-end. The cottage could also benefit from the use of a long reach feather duster to get rid of the cobwebs in the beams. Sorry but clean means spotless to me. All in all, very disappointed, especially for the price. I could have had a three night weekend in an Aberdovey hotel for less that included breakfast!

Hello Miss Kydd, thank you for your comments. I'm sorry to hear of the issues you encountered. I want to assure you these have been dealt with and we will not have the same problem in the future. There is public parking close to the cottage and we rarely get cars parked directly outside. I'm sorry to hear you did on this occasion. Property Owner

  • "Spacious cottage for two people."

It was quite a cold cottage and the underfloor heating was not adequate. Recommend visiting in summer only! Garden is not secure for a dog and you are close to a busy road. These things would not stop us staying there again.

Thank you for your review Mrs Harris. We're sorry to hear the underfloor heating was not adequate, as a precaution we have put an electric heater in the sitting room if you need a little more warmth and we are always happy to pop out if anyone if struggling with the underfloor heating. • "Overall, the cottage was well maintained and tastefully decorated."

However: Bathroom window was clear glass!we had the blind down all week as the window was only a couple of feet from the road. Sofas ware quite uncomfortable, as they appeared to sag / need new springs, and could have done with a few more scatter cushions. We were glad of the portable heater as the living areas were quite cold. We had wet weather most of the week and found it difficult to dry wet coats. They had to drip dry over the back of a dining chair in the bathroom. Glad we read previous reviews about lack of hand soap and took our own. Also, there was only half a toilet roll in the place.

Thank you for your feedback. I gone through each of your points as we take reviews seriously and hope we have managed to deal with everything adequately. Though I'm glad you found the cottage well maintained and hope you had a nice stay even if the weather was not on your side. Property Owner

  • "It was good to find a comfortable, clean holiday home so near to where we stayed for many years when we owned our own caravan."

Also it is so close to our son and his wife who live in Bethesda. We were able to re-visit many of our favourites like Aberffraw beach, Aber Falls, and go on many favourite walks. Best of all we only had one mornings steady rain which did not keep us in. Bron Haul is a great renovation (we remember how it once looked). It is good to think it is now being enjoyed by so many for happy holidays.

Many thanks for your kind words Mr Stone. We love Aberffraw beach and a trip to the waterfalls. Many thanks Property Owner

  • "We booked for our dog luckily he is an older dog but when we reached the cottage there was a large hole in the garden wall and a big pile of stone in the parking space."

So we had to watch v carefully that the dog didn't get out and onto the road-a bit of warning would have been appreciated with this. We were a bit anxious all our stay. Tried to partially block up the hole with the bin! Also we had good weather but no chairs to sit in the garden especially with the fab mountains as a view. Please can you let me know if you have returned my dog deposit?

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with you dog. We definitely do not have an enclosed garden as it's only a foot or two in places although we are happy to accept pets. I'm glad everything was ok for your stay and we have now bought some chairs for the garden. Property Owner

  • "The cottage is very clean, bright and very comfortable."

However, having read previous comments about trouble with the heating, we took a small convector heater and we were very glad that we had. I am sure that the under floor heating is set for comfort but in the event of a few wet, cold and windy days as we experienced, it is not sufficient for just sitting around. But apart from that, very good and we shall hopefully return sometime.

Thank you for your feedback. We now provide an electric heater so if the underfloor heating takes a little time to adjust you will hopefully stay warm the next time you visit. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was magnificent for our needs."

As a couple needing a base to visit friends, go walking etc we don't need much but Bron Haul delivered in every area. The fit and finish was top draw, the parking is excellent as were the facilities in the house. The location is excellent for exploring the east of Anglesey and the nearby pub is a real treat. Although small, the cottage feels spacious and airy even with the blinds closed and the way the lighting is set up allows you to make things cosy for your evening meal should you wish. All the furniture provided is very comfortable and the underfloor heating is wonderful keeping the cottage at a pleasant temperature even in the depths of winter. Just as a note to summer bookers, the garden is at the side of the house so wouldn't be suitable for dining etc as it's on the road as is the house (virtually) so there will be people walking past the windows if you have the blinds open...none of this detracted from our stay though, I just thought it was worth pointing out.

  • "A lovely light and comfortable cottage with most things that we required."

Ideal for a short break at this time of year. We did have problems with the heating, however. Someone came to help with this, but there was never any heat in the sitting area. During our first night the boiler fired up continuously and our bedroom was far too hot. Perhaps previous clients had altered the settings, so maybe this could be checked in future. There was only one bin liner for use during our stay and handwash was missing from the bathroom - not very helpful after a journey and before shopping.

  • "Gorgeous cottage with original exposed beams, recently refurbished and finished to an impeccably high standard."

Beautiful, well equipped kitchen, relaxing lounge area with very tasteful furnishings throughout. Incredibly comfortable, firm bed with pretty natural down bedding. Stunning bathroom with bath and separate shower. Fantastic views across to Caernarfon, 5 minutes from the A55 but far enough out to capture that quiet and peaceful Welsh village setting. We culdn't recommend this cottage highly enough. An absolutely perfect retreat.

Sleeping two, it’s ideal for a romantic couples getaway!

It has been transformed into a bright, cheerful holiday cottage with plenty of quirky touches, including painted pots of tulips to welcome you!

Bron Haul has great views across farmland to the mountains of Snowdonia.

You enter directly into the open plan living space with the kitchen right in front of you.

It has a modern farmhouse style and has a fridge freezer, hob and electric oven, dishwasher and good selection of utensils. Step up onto the dining area which has a table and chairs.

From the right chair, you can in fact, soak up views of Snowdonia whilst you enjoy your supper!

There’s enough seating space to invite a couple of friends around for a meal, too.

The colourful sitting area has a TV for entertainment, but we suggest curling up here with a good book!

The rug adds warmth and cosiness underfoot.

At the opposite end of the cottage, next to the kitchen, there’s a bedroom with a large and comfy bed and lighting that gives a relaxing ambience.

The bathroom, which is just off the bedroom, has a bath, a separate walk in shower, loo and wash hand basin. Bron Haul is a holiday cottage in a good location for exploring some of Anglesey’s best bits!

Attractions, walks, sandy beaches and great places to eat are within a short drive.
