This cottage was our home for our week on Anglesey - as first time visitors we were not sure what to expect. The cottage was easy to find, right by the side of the busy Menai to Newborough road. This cottage was our home for our week on Anglesey - as first time visitors we were not sure what to expect. The cottage was easy to find, right by the side of the busy Menai to Newborough road. It has a nice small self contained rear garden and is generally cosy & snug with great views of Snowdonia. The bedroom is a better room to be in than downstairs which we found rather dark. There is a small galley kitchen and the shower room is also downstairs next to the kitchen. All in all we found the accomodation just a bit on the small size for us. It is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and we loved Newborough Dunes and the area surrounding the cottage. We are runners and there is a great 4 mile circular running route along quiet country lanes starting just outside. There is a pub just across the road that has just reopened after several years closed but to be honest we were not made to feel especially welcome and they are not serving food yet ( despite advertising it !). There is one small general store in the village which sells essentials and newspapers. A larger Co-op store is in a neighboring village approx 10 mins drive away. WiFi worked fine and there is reasonable mobile phone reception. Finally an apology - we broke a wine glass on our first night but try as we might, we could not find a shop selling a replacement !
