  • "We had a great stay, our dog did too thanks to the fenced garden."

The cottage is perfect and the hosts have really thought about what you might need when staying there. They had left a cake and milk along with tea and coffee, which is always welcome after a long drive. The property is in a great location too for taking drives around the island or popping over to Snowdon for the day. Really friendly hosts also, we'll return no doubt in the future!

  • "Second visit to this excellent property."

Everything was just as I remembered and of a very high standard. The property was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The log burner and free fuel was a welcome extra as was the thoughtful welcome pack. Lovely quiet part of the island with plenty to do and wonderful scenery close by. The evening visit by the cows in the adjoining field was unexpected! The enclosed safe garden was a bonus for my dog and would be great for children of all ages. A very enjoyable holiday. .

  • "We were greeted upon our arrival by Carol and Gareth, the property owners, and were made to feel very welcome."

Inside the property there was Bara Brith to go with our all important first cuppa, half a dozen fresh eggs, some home grown tomatoes and a bottle of milk all of which were appreciated and consumed during our stay. The property was very clean and well equipped and provided us with the restful holiday that we were after. The location of the property was spot on and was home to a selection of sheep, wild rabbits and an owl in addition to the chickens and three friendly dogs kept by Carol and Gareth. The location of the property is ideal and facilitates easy access to the rest of the island as well as to the main land. Additional directions to the property were provided by Carol prior to our holiday which complimented those already provided by the property details on the Sykes website. Hopefully we will be back at some point soon for another very enjoyable stay.

Carol and Gareth are close by if needed but also allow you to appreciate their farm building conversion undisturbed. The space is perfect for those who like a rural spot but with easy access to the island. Peace, comfort and a great welcome pack all packaged in a clean, warm and comfortable space. Very dog friendly: from the gifts on arrival for our pup to the secure back garden. We especially liked the friendly cows that came to visit each night and watched us along the fence! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property most highly.

It was everything as described and more. The owners are so very nice and not far away if you need any help. I personally fell in love with the beach at Traeth Llanddwyn which was perfect for the whole family, including our two Frenchies. My son and his friend used this as a base for mountain biking at Antur Stiniog (45 mins) and Dyfi (90 mins). A beautiful location and perfect holiday home.

If we were to return to Anglesey in the future, we would definitely book again. The cottage was fairly well equipped, and very comfortable with one of the best showers we've ever experienced. As dog owners with our cockapoo accompanying us, the secure back garden was a godsend. Thank you to our friendly, dog loving hosts Carole and Gareth.

  • "We had a magical Christmas stay at Y Bwthyn."

Carol and Gareth were wonderful hosts and it was lovely to have them across the farmyard if we needed anything, although they weren’t remotely intrusive. The property was beautiful decorated for Christmas which made it all the more special. The farm is so cute with Welsh mountain sheep, hens and ducks, and their two dogs are adorable. My two dogs absolutely loved the secure enclosed garden and snuggling up in front of the fire. The underfloor heating made the barn extra cosy. Carol’s welcome gifts of eggs and honey from the farm were such a lovely touch. We didn’t want to leave! We asked Carol to make the single beds into one large bed, which we found to be comfier than the double bed in bedroom one. The boot room was a great bonus and meant I could do our laundry before going home. Cannot recommend more highly. Thanks again for a brilliant stay.

There is also a boot room for muddy or wet clothes which is warm and clean. Here also is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
