  • "The owner needs to replace drawer set with wardrobe and drawers beneath, mind your head sign on stairs , especially when carrying small children, stairs could do with carpeting to reduce the echo of noise once children in bed, latches on doors extremely noisey, everything was great ,especially the dog and child safe garden."

  • "Clean, comfortable cottage with a gorgeous view, located centrally to allow easy access to all parts of the island."

The nearby town of Llangefni, has a good selection of shops and supermarkets including home delivery. The large, enclosed garden is perfect to allow children and dogs to play safely. We were surprised the top bunk bed didn’t have a fixed guard rail, but later found a folding bed guard under the twin bed. The only time we needed to contact the owner was when we realised had left something behind, they were very helpful in arranging the return of the item. We would be happy to stay again at this cottage or at the adjacent property (of the same owner).

  • "We have just returned from a lovely week at Cy Capel."

Three adults, two children aged (14 & 11) and a dog. The garden and views were amazing, everyone loved being outside playing. Inside didn’t disappoint, everything you needed. We enjoyed cosy evenings in the lounge whilst the children played games in the open plan family area. The house was everything we had hoped for. We enjoyed days out at all the beaches Anglesey has to offer, Rhosneigr was our favourite. We hope to see you again soon.

  • "We really loved our stay at Ty Capel Bryntwrog."

When we arrived it was gloriously sunny and the property just looked really pretty from the outside. When I went round the back of the property, the view was simply stunning. Upon entering the place smelled amazing and was nice and clean. We have two young children so the open place of the main living area and kitchen really worked for us. And the little snug area was a great place to let the kids play on their own in a safe place. We were welcome with some scones in the kitchen. When we saw them we drooled, because after a 2.5 hour drive we really fancied a brew and a snack. And the scones just looked amazing. However, we were then a little disappointed that we couldn't find anything to put on them. We couldn't find any cream or jam. So unfortunately we had to wait until the following day before we could enjoy them. I just think it if scones were left, then it would have been nice to have everything else to go with them. That's our only main criticism really. A couple of the nights were quite cold and we enjoyed some warmth from the log burner which was lovely. Made the place feel even cosier. The property's central location to the island meant that we were no further about 30 minutes or so from anywhere on the island. Overall, we really loved our stay, the property was perfect and we would definitely look to try and stay here again. For next time though, is it possible you can do something about the haze so we can see the stunning mountains a little clearer? *Joke :)*

  • "Such a picturesque cottage in a really peaceful location."

Excellent facilities with wonderful outdoor space which our dog, Florence, adored! The views from every window were spectacular. The welcome cup cakes were a lovely touch and absolutely delicious. The directions to the cottage were good, but it might be worth noting that the Sat Nav indicates you have arrived at the farm approx 700m before the cottage and you need to carry on. The road is interesting, but thankfully we did not encounter any tractors or HGV’s this visit! A perfect weekend retreat. Thank you.

The cottage was lovely really well equipped but our stay was spolit due to the garden not being dog safe this should be made more clear as the dog could get out not only to next door but also onto the road we could not relax at all and would not book this cottage again because if this

Thank you for your comments. We have asked that the description is updated to make dog owners aware that while the garden is enclosed it is not secure, especially against adventurous pooches. We will endeavor to make is more secure but can not guarantee an escape proof garden. Property Owner

Stunning views and the location meant that nowhere on Anglesey was more than 30 minutes drive away. Will be returning for another family holiday next year

  • "We had an amazing time at Ty Capel."

The house itself is lovely - spacious but also cosy, really clean and well-equipped, comfy bed, light rooms, we couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's in such a beautiful spot - amazing views from every direction, really quiet and we had some amazing breakfasts with a view on the patio! It's in a great location in the middle of the island too - the perfect base for exploring Anglesey and also for visiting mainland Wales for walks/castle trips. Thanks very much for having us and we're looking forward to staying again already!

  • "There was just one thing I would like to raise as an improvement at this property."

It was listed as having an enclosed garden. As we always take our 2 cocker spaniels with us this aspect is really important to us When we arrived the property had a lovey large back garden but there was an open route through to the front garden. From here the dogs could have escaped on to the road just in front of the property. I did manage to block the route off using the outside garden furniture but not ideal To me an enclosed garden means pets cannot escape and they are safe to be left in the space without supervision for short periods of time eg early morning and last thing at night This would be very helpful to pet owners in general I think this aspect and the fact there were no wardrobes were the only 2 points that let it down. Apart from this it is a first class place to stay Thank you Graeme

  • "The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay."

The location was perfect to explore the island in every direction. Although we do usually opt for cottages on the coast, the stunning mountain views across beautiful countryside more than made up for this. It offered peace and quiet which is just what we were looking for.

  • "We had a lovely stay here in June 2018, the cottage is charming, renovated to a very high standard and equipped with everything you could need."

It is a very quiet and peaceful location, very relaxing with amazing views! There is nowhere within close walking distance ie village, shop or pub but we enjoyed the tranquillity. However it is only a very short drive from the nearest town and easy to get to amazing beaches. This is our 6th stay on Anglesey, our 1st at this cottage but we would definitely return and would highly recommend

  • "The cottage was really beautiful - clean, homely, well equipped and comfortable."

The garden was perfect for our lively cockapoo to chase around in, and us humans enjoyed the stunning views. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and enjoyed lovely walks and exciting adventures on Anglesey. At the end of the day, it was wonderful to go back to such a cosy home and relax by a roaring log fire. The dog enjoyed that too! All in all, a truly memorable holiday. We all loved Ty Capel and Anglesey, and can't wait to return.

The property

Ty Capel is a pretty stone holiday cottage built in 1861 as a Chapel House and now a modern cottage offering happy breaks to all.

Inside you will still find the beamed ceilings, sash windows, a wood burner and an open fire, and original floorboards.

Nestled in a tranquil countryside setting on Anglesey, there’s the cycle route 566 close by, as well as a lake, sweeping views of Snowdonia and lots of lovely walks. The living space is open plan and includes the kitchen, dining and sitting areas.

The kitchen has all you need with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

The round dining table seats six people.

The cosy seating area has comfortable sofas set around a multi fuel stove to add warmth, a T and DVD player.

French doors lead out onto the patio and large back garden. There is a separate snug which is a lovely room with an original bookcase with books of local interest, maps, adult and children's fiction as well as games and a TV.

You will enjoy relaxing in here. Stairs from the hallway lead up to three bedrooms - one double room, one twin room and a room with full sized bunks.

Also on this floor is a family bathroom with bath and shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. At the front of the holiday cottage is a small enclosed courtyard.

At the back of the cottage is a large garden laid to lawn with patio area, garden furniture and picnic bench.

There is ample parking available. If there are more than six in your party you can also rent out Capel Bach next door which sleeps seven.
