  • "We had a wonderful stay, enjoying the beautiful views of Bull Bay."

The house was lovely, and the few tiny gripes we had were magically resolved as a couple of parcels arrived through the week to replace items broken prior to our arrival. The place was clean and welcoming, and we'd go back there in a heartbeat.

I do wonder if the " suggestions " book is ever noted/ acted upon... difficult to tell because the pages are obviously torn out each time so it is empty of past comments !

  • "The double bed could do with a better mattress or a bigger bed as it was a little on the small side , and the use of a washing machine would be a massive plus."

Beyond that it was amazing, the views are stunning and it was the perfect place to take our young family for a week of relaxation after moving home.

  • "Having booked with sykes on numerous occasions I have always found your star rating to be accurate."

But alas not this time on arrival we noticed kitchen grubby crumbs in toaster. Outside of fridge freezer all greasy. Around the bin needed painting due to spills also the bins and lids dirty. We took the crockery out and cutlery we would use washed and left on side as residue was on cutlery and crockery. The cushions on sofa we took of as they had food matted on the shaggy pile. Bedrooms and bathroom clean. View was spectacular. Good deep clean wouldn't go a miss.

  • "Lovely, comfortable, tastefully decorated property with a spectacular sea view."

There are a few more steps inside and around the outside than we would have liked (for a person with walking difficulties) and parking on the slope was slightly awkward but otherwise it was an excellent location. A few of the furnishings (e.g. wonky chairs, wonky toilet seats, temperamental plug-holes) could use some maintenance or repair but these are minor issues and we would definitely recommend the house for a coastal getaway.

  • "Very nice property with stunning views."

Was lovely to sit on the balcony in the morning with a coffee. Nice easy access to the pub/hotel which is right on the doorstep. Excellent section of the Anglesey Coastal path within easy reach, with access just across from the golf course. Saw Dolphins from the headland at Bull Bay.

  • "Nice cottage with outstanding view of the sea and comfortable and clean lounge."

Generally a clean comfy and warm house, plenty of hot water. Great access to pub across lawn at the back. Let down slightly by tired looking front and porch(not cleaned) and lack of some kitchen equipment. E.g no good bread knife, can opener didn’t work, no side plates, bendy plastic serving utensils. At this price the kitchen should be slightly better equipped. However we had a fantastic stay there so don’t be put off by these. Hopefully these will be addressed.

Enjoyed our stay would love to come back Very clean , good bedding, loved the balcony Amazing views We ordered a delivery but Sykes address given to us needs Trecastell adding as our order went to 6 Glan y Don Luckily the delivery rang us and found us We thought the drive was not as steep on the photo as it actually is, we came in a SUV our other low suspension car could have been a problem A slightly larger TV would be good , eventually worked out the use of tv via apple or firestick

  • "We have had a wonderful week in a beautiful home."

The view from the main living area of the property is spectacular. The accommodation was clean and well presented and very comfortable. We weren’t blessed with the best of the weather but when we could we went out on the suggested walks and were not disappointed. The facilities are really good and definitely enjoyed our home cooked meals with a view. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. My only suggestion is maybe new mattresses or memory foam toppers as all of the beds were extremely firm. However we still would recommend and in fact have already booked to stay again in September Thank you

  • "Overall a lovely stay with amazing views and generally comfortable."

Lovely quiet street and area which is perfect to relax and equipped with everything required. However there a few things around the property needing a bit of attention. The 2nd older bathroom needs a good clean as we got rid of the cobwebs, and some of the windows are tough to open, with the ones in the master bedroom not opening at all. The 2nd bathroom also needs a larger mirror as the current one is far too small and not ideal located behind the sink. The master bedroom mattress is also very hard and needs replacing, but the one in the single bedroom was very comfortable. Finally the garden/paved areas just need a bit of TLC such as pressure washing the paved areas, removing weeds and some new planters/pots as they're all broken. Little things to improve a really great location and overall lovely house.

  • "The property itself was ideal with wonderful view and comfort but lacked all the necessities."

the second bedroom didn't have any towels, the toilet seat was broken. We didn't find one lamp that worked properly and all were wonky as were the chairs .The kitchen was poorly equipped no decent mugs or crockery no potato peeler or fish slice, the grill pan had to be scrubbed. The en suite shower leaked until my husband took an hour to clean the drain out. Small things that could be put right would have made for a less frustrating holiday.

  • "The mattress in the main bedroom is far too hard, neither myself nor my wife found it comfortable and we had difficulty sleeping."

The cutlery and crockery were filthy and we had to wash items before we could use them. The crockery needed updating, all very small and mixed. The lack of a satellite dish meant zero free view TV. And I don't have Apple so the apple TV facility was of no use. WiFi was useful. Kitchen is freezing cold. The double glazed window in the lounge needed attention as it was letting draughts in. We couldn't find the wood for the stove and the shed door had a rusted hinge meaning the door couldn't be safely opened. The bathroom desperately needed updating so it was as modern as the ensuite. Definitely needed some investment and the property would be incredible. That sea view. Wow.

We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out at the wonderful views over the bay. We walked along the coastal path each morning and saw porpoises and seals. We were very comfortable and hope to return later this year. Many thanks for the welcome pack.
